Lemon Garlic Butter Baked Fish

butter

garlic cloves,

lemon

½ fish

EACH: sea salt and pepper

parsley,

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

Melt the butter in a small frying pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and let it cook for 1 minute. Zest the lemon (preferably with a Microplane) and add it to the butter.

Thinly slice the zested lemon and place the slices in the bottom of a baking dish. If there are extras, save them for the top of the fish.

Dry the fish with paper towels, season both sides with salt and pepper, then lay the fish on top of the lemon slices. Spoon or brush the garlic butter over the fish.

Bake the fish for 10-12 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork. Serve with a little parsley sprinkled over the top for color.

So good and so easy! My wife commented twice on how good they were. Will make again! Thank you!!

Super easy way to prepare haddock! Came out delicious. Served over farro with roasted asparagus, and drizzled some of the leftover butter sauce over the top. Yum!

Wonderful recipe, I used Pollock filets, Italian dressing and added capers.
Thank you !

Delicious with just lemon and salt and pepper and garlic. I served with steamed rice and fresh microwaved buttered carrots. It was a fast and delicious recipe for cod fish.

This was a great recipe. Thanks for sharing it!

This looks quick and easy. Most importantly, I think my son will actually eat it. He is not a fish lover. Fish was a staple when I grew up. We lived very close the Baltic Sea and a fish monger would come around once a week with fresh caught fish. The grocery stores of course had fish as well.

So quick and easy to make. Came out delicious! My kids loved it! I'll be making this again.

My family loved this recipe and gave it 5 stars. We will definitely use this recipe again. It is really delicious and a crowd pleaser. It was super easy to make which is great. Thank you for sharing it.

Baked White Fish Recipe

haddock

Olive oil spray

Diamond Crystal kosher salt

black pepper

garlic powder

thyme

paprika

salted butter

lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Lemon (for serving)

Preheat the oven to 425°F. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Pat the haddock filets dry and arrange them in a single layer in the baking dish.

Spray the fillets generously with olive oil. Mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, dried thyme, and paprika. Season the fish with the spice mixture.

Bake the fillets for about 15 minutes, until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F and their flesh is opaque and the top flakes easily with a fork.

After placing the fish in the oven, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Keep cooking, stirring often, for about 2-3 minutes, until the butter turns golden brown.

Remove the butter from the heat, pour it into a small bowl, and stir in the lemon juice. Let it rest and slightly thicken for a few minutes while the fish finishes baking.

Arrange the baked fish on a serving platter. Pour the brown butter sauce over the fish, garnish with parsley and lemon slices, and serve.

Easy to prepare, I did it in a skillet with the spices and it was excellent, poured brown butter over when done.
