This chunky, homemade guacamole recipe is easy, authentic, fresh, and unbelievably, out-of-this-world good with lime, garlic, onion & cilantro mixed in with wonderful avocados.  This is the best guacamole recipe ever.  For real.

Best Guacamole Recipe Ever

jalapeno, stem and seeds removed, finely diced (optional)

3-4 large, ripe avocados

In a large bowl (or molcajete if you have one), crush chopped cilantro, garlic, and onion (and jalapeno, if using) using the back of a spoon, grinding it against the bowl a bit to release its juices and aroma.

Add the avocados, lime juice, salt, and cumin...

Add the avocados, lime juice, salt, and cumin and mash with a fork until the avocados are mostly broken down and only smaller chunks remain.  If you prefer chunkier guacamole, just don't mash it quite as much.  If you prefer smoother guac, keep on going until it's the consistency you desire.  Stir in the chopped tomato.

Top with extra chopped cilantro and store covered...

This is my favorite guacamole recipe! No tomatoes, but add chipotle, scallions, dried pineapple and tequila for a real crowd pleaser!

Chop dried pineapple into small pieces. Place in a small mixing bowl.

Add green onion, cilantro, chipotle, salt and tequila.

Mix up and then add your avocado. Mash it well with a fork, into the other ingredients.

I love this with blue corn tortilla chips that are seasoned with chile powder!

Wow, this recipe is so enticing and very interesting with the pineapple. What a great idea since as you said they are both tropical. It is nice to shake things up a bit and I am definitely willing to give it a try. Thanks so much for sharing.

Love this idea. A little sweetness from the pineapple and it will help with the oxidation issue to too to keep it fresher longer. Just need to grab some chips and we have everything to make this delicious treat.

lime (juiced)

red onion (minced)

Make the guacamole: Place the pulp from the avocados in a medium bowl and slightly mash with a fork or a potato masher leaving some large chunks. Add lime juice, salt, pepper, cilantro, red onion, garlic and mix thoroughly.

If you are serving this at a later time: a great tip to keep the guacamole from turning brown is to cover tightly with plastic wrap so no air gets on it.

It&#39;s made from fresh picked avocados that have ripened just for this with every harvest. A true small batch (but big because familia) that you can now enjoy at home with our No-filler and All-flavor best guacamole tips for life.

The Better Guacamole Recipe

Ripe Avocados (Hass avocado, large)

Onion, White (small diced)

Cilantro (finely chopped)

Rinse all produce used to remove any residue. Set to the side to drain any excess water.

Prep avocados as directed and place them in a large bowl to comfortably mix the guacamole.

Once all halves are in the bowl begin to angle the side of a steak knife or dinner spoon into cut through all of the avocados. (This will only take about 30 seconds or up to a minute of two depending on how smooth you want the guacamole, for example, Tijuana Style Taco Guacamole.)

Dice all fresh ingredients and add them along with fresh lime and salt into the large bowl. Mix all ingredients into the mashed avocado. Do not add water.

To make the Best Homemade Guacamole

Add the garlic and salt and molía lo together.

Then add ONLY the avocado halves, and mash them up.

Lastly, add onion, cilantro, lime, and salt. Using a spoon, Gently fold fresh ingredients into mixture for the Best Guacamole and eat good!
