Place broccoli, blueberries, red onion, cranberries, and sunflower seeds in a large bowl. In a small bowl, toss apple with 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Add to the big bowl with the salad.

In a small bowl, whisk together all dressing ingredients. Pour dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine. Salad may be served immediately or refrigerated until serving. It will last for 2-3 days in the refrigerator.

No Mayo Broccoli Salad with Blueberries and Apple

Healthy Broccoli Apple Salad

extra virgin olive oil

TB pure honey

mustard

TB real mayo

garlic powder

onion powder

tsp kosher salt,

tsp black peppers,

broccoli florets, stems trimmed and torn into little bite-sized pieces

red onion, chopped

dried cherries (or raisins/dried cranberries)

honeycrisp apple, chopped and tossed with a bit of lemon juice

smoky roasted almonds, slivered or sliced

blue cheese

Make the Dressing: In a medium bowl, hand-whisk together all dressing ingredients until thoroughly combined. Taste and add more salt/pepper as needed. Cover and chill until ready to use &#8211; can be made a day or two ahead.

In a serving bowl, toss together the broccoli florets, red onion, dried cherries (or other dried fruit,) and apples. Pour dressing over broccoli salad and toss to combine well. If not serving yet, cover and chill several hours to overnight.

When ready to serve: toss broccoli salad again. Gently stir in almonds and cheese; serve. 

Wow!  This is the perfect flavor combo - all the flavors I love - and so crisp!  Thank you for this recipe.  I love it on day one, two, and 3.  Day 3 is only if I've hidden a bowl behind the kalamata olives that no one in my abode likes but me.  We loved this in my home. Again, thank you SO much for  this recipe. I made this for a dinner party I was having.  It was a hit!  The combination of all the ingredients blend together so well- and the dressing, oh my!  This is not your ordinary honey mustard, but a culinary treat all its own!   I ended up adding bacon to the salad the second time I made it (because why not?) and made extra dressing as I preferred the salad to be a little more covered with it.

This vibrant, classic Broccoli Apple Salad recipe is a fresh and flavorful side dish great for a party or potluck. It&#39;s packed with sweet apples, crunchy pecans, and fresh broccoli and tossed in a sweet, tangy dressing. Ready or prepped ahead of time in less than 15 minutes!

Broccoli Apple Salad

Broccoli Slaw

Red Onion (finely diced)

Broccoli Florets

Chopped Pecans

Raisins (or Cranberries or Dried Currants)

Lemon

Mayo

Plain Greek Yogurt

Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar

Tbsp Honey

tsp Onion Powder

tsp Granulated Sugar

In a medium mixing bowl, add all of the dressing ingredients including mayo, Greek yogurt, apple cider vinegar, honey, onion powder, and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth. Chill in refrigerator until ready to use.

For the dressing:

Toast the pecans, if desired. I like the flavor, but it isn&#39;t a huge difference. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spread the pecans evenly in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake until they begin to brown, making sure to toss halfway through, 7 to 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.

Toss the diced apples in the lemon juice to keep them fresher. In a salad bowl toss together broccoli, apples, pecans, broccoli slaw, raisins, and red onion. Pour in dressing and toss until evenly coated.

For the salad:

Came out great! I added some bacon pieces and it was perfect.

This is pretty tasty. The dressing is very tangy yet sweet. Very good

I used honey crisp and yellow apples. I also added candied pecans for a bit more crunch. Excellent!

I used cranberries instead of raisins and left out the lemon juice since I didn't have any. Really good for lunch.

Honeycrisp Apple and Broccoli Salad with Tangy Dressing

Honeycrisp apples,

(55 g) toasted pecans, roughly chopped

(55 g) sharp cheddar cheese, small cubes or shredded

(35 g) finely chopped red onion

bacon,

(120 g) plain Greek yogurt

(60 g) mayonnaise

Dijon mustard

salt

black pepper

Chop the broccoli

Cut the broccoli into small bite-size pieces. Rinse, then dry very well so the dressing coats instead of watering down.

Whisk the dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, honey, Dijon, salt, and pepper until smooth. Taste and add a small splash more vinegar if you want it sharper.

Combine the salad

In a large bowl, add broccoli, diced apples, cranberries, most of the pecans, cheddar, and red onion. Pour the dressing over the top and toss until everything is lightly coated.

Chill briefly

Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes and up to 6 hours before serving. This lets the broccoli soften slightly while staying crisp.

Finish and serve

Fold in the crumbled bacon just before serving. Sprinkle the remaining pecans over the top and serve cold.
