My recipe for how to make candied pecans is quick and easy in 5-minutes, right off of the stove-top!

How To Make Candied Pecans

pecans

Line a plate or baking tray with parchment paper.

Combine brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in a skillet.  Add water and cook over medium heat (2 minutes) until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is bubbling.

Add the pecans and while stir until coated in the sugar glaze.  Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Remove from heat and spread the pecans out evenly onto the parchment paper. Let cool completely.

These Candied Pecans are the perfect sweet and salty snack. They're great on their own, on salads, in cookies, or as a garnish to your favorite chicken dish!

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add in the pecans and stir continuously for 3 minutes, to lightly toast the pecans.

Add in the brown sugar, and stir for an additional 2 minutes to melt the sugar.

Stir in the cinnamon and salt, and add the water.

Cook, stir continuously, until the water is evaporated, 1-2 minutes.

Remove from the heat and spread evenly on the baking sheet.

Bake for 5-7 minutes, until fragrant and lightly crisp.

Remove from oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet.

These sweet and spicy Slow Cooker Spiced Nuts are made with cinnamon, sugar, and a little spice, for candied nuts that make a great holiday snack!

Slow Cooker Spiced Nuts

Almonds (raw)

Pecans (raw)

Cashews (raw)

Brown sugar

White sugar

Chili powder

Water

Spray the cooking pan of your slow cooker with non-stick spray.

In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, an chili powder.

Add nuts to the slow cooker and sprinkle the sugar and spices over them.

Add water and stir until fully combined.

Place a paper towel over the top of the slow cooker pot and then place the lid on it.

Set the slow cooker to LOW and cook for 3 hours stirring every 30 minutes or HIGH for 1 hour stirring every 30 minutes.

When the cook time is up remove the nuts from the slow cooker and spread them out in a single layer on a lined baking sheet. Let the nuts cool completely.

Store in an airtight container until ready to serve.

Candied Cinnamon-Sugar Nuts

Preheat oven to 300°F (149°C). Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper and spray with non-stick spray; or use a silicone baking mat. Set aside.

Mix pecans and almonds in a large bowl. Set aside.

Using an electric mixer, beat egg whites and water on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form, about 4-5 minutes. Add the sugar, cinnamon, and salt, gently folding until combined.

Pour/spoon sugar mixture over nuts and stir to coat completely. Spread nuts over the baking sheets and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15. Allow to cool completely and enjoy.

Store nuts at room temperature for a few weeks, covered.

Hi I made these like 5 years ago for co-workers.  Bought little Christmas wine glasses at the dollar store, filled with nuts, and put on each desk.  Huge hit!  Everyone LOVED them.  I thought I lost the recipe and was so sad but found I had pinned it!  I used a T vanilla and T water and am using the roasting pan for easier stir.  I wish I could share the smell in my kitchen it is amazing!  I hope they turn out delicious as last time :-).

Just made these. I halved the recipe since it's my first time to make any sort of candied nuts. I used almonds and cashews and this is THE BEST snack ever! I will be making more for the holidays. What a perfect gift and economical as well.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar and sour cream and stir constantly until mixture starts to boil.

Reduce heat to low and continue cooking, stirring constantly, until mixture is thick and bubbly, 5-6 minutes. (Cook until mixture reaches 240°F on a candy thermometer.)

Remove from heat and stir in salt and vanilla extract. Add pecans and stir until coated.

Two-ingredient easy stovetop candied pecans are so simple to make!

Stovetop Candied Pecans

Heat a large frying pan/skillet over medium-low heat. Add sugar and wait. Patiently.

The sugar will slowly start to melt and caramelize.

Add the nuts, and stir to combine. Stir often to keep the sugar from burning and to distribute it evenly.

Pour the candied nuts on a piece of parchment or waxed paper until cooled.

Baked Pears scented with cinnamon, nutmeg and clove are dressed up with toasted almonds, a drizzle of honey and just a touch of ricotta. This baked pears recipe is so easy to make and works for breakfast or dessert. 

Baked Pears with Almonds, Honey and Ricotta

Heat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F

Prepare the pears: Slice the pears in half and use a spoon to scoop out the tough core and seeds in the center.

Prepare the sauce: In a 9x13 baking dish add brown sugar, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, juice from half a lemon, and almond extract. Stir to combine. Do your best to push it along the bottom off the baking dish so you have a thin layer on the bottom of the dish.

Bake the pears: Place the pears cut side down into the brown sugar mixture. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the pear meets little resistance.

Make the candied nuts: While the pears bake, place a small skillet over medium heat and add the honey, olive oil, and salt. Swirl the pan around a couple of times then add the almonds. Use a rubber spatula to stir the almonds around and coat them. Let them cook for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are fragrant, and a deep, golden brown. Keep an eye on them as they can go from toasted to burnt in an instant. Transfer to a parchment-lined plate and let cool.

To serve: Spoon some ricotta into a shallow bowl and spread it around a little bit. Place one or two pear halves cut side up, spoon some of the sauce from the baking dish over the pears, sprinkle the candied almonds on top and finish with a drizzle of honey.

You only need two ingredients and 15 minutes to make the best ever Stovetop Candied Pecans! Naturally vegan, oil-free, and refined sugar-free.

(64 g) coconut sugar*

Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside. Add the sugar, salt, and water to a medium non-stick saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar crystals.

Once the mixture starts to bubble, add the pecans to the saucepan and cook until all of the liquid evaporated from the pan, 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. The nuts will start to stick together once finished and you will see &#8220;strings&#8221; of sugar as you stir.

Transfer the pecans to the paper-lined baking tray, then use your hands to separate each nut, to prevent sticking. Sprinkle with additional coconut sugar (if desired), then let cool completely, until the nuts are no longer stick to touch.

Serve as desired; store in the fridge or at room temperature for up to 10 days. Storing the fridge will help keep the nuts from further sticking together.

Very easy recipe to follow and pecans turn out DELICIOUS!  Have made two batches, so far, with Brown Sugar.  Will add these to my Christmas Baking from now on!!

I had left over pecans from making my pecan pie for my thanksgiving, so I decided to give this a try.

First of all - SOOO easy.

I made the Stovetop Candied Pecans but rather than coconut Sugar I used white sparkling sugar sprinkled on top., making these lovelies Not refined sugar free  but still sooo good.

Easy Vegan Candied Nuts

In a large pan, melt the vegan butter on medium heat. Add the nuts and white granulated sugar. Mix until all the sugar has coated the nuts. Continue cooking and stirring for 2-3 minutes on medium heat until all the sugar has dissolved.

Remove the nuts from the heat and pour them onto a tray lined with parchment paper.

Spread the candied nuts out using forks and allow them to cool and harden for at least 10 minutes. Store candied nuts in a sealed container for up to one week.

Easy candied nuts naturally sweetened with maple syrup instead of refined sugar. Delicious for snacking, salads, topping sweet potatoes, gift-giving, etc.

Maple-Vanilla Candied Nuts

Combine all ingredients in a medium non-stick sauté pan over medium heat.

Stir well with a spatula to thoroughly coat and combine.

Bring mixture to a light simmer (soft bubbles not vigorously bubbling) stirring occasionally.

Reduce heat to medium-low (to prevent burning). The mixture will be thin/liquidy at first, and then becomes very thick/sticky after a few minutes. Continue lightly simmering until the maple syrup has crystallized, about 20 minutes total, stirring often. (If the nuts are sticky, then keep going. Low and slow is the key.)

When nuts are crystallized (see photos for texture reference), pour the candied nuts out onto a flat surface. (I place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet.) Gently spread them out with a spatula and let cool.

Since I’m a huge fan of your dinner recipes, I thought it was time to try a snack food. Made this recipe this morning.  I wish I hadn’t waited so long to try these!  Wow! Holy moley!! These are amazing! I roasted my raw nuts before hand just for an added depth of flavor and boy oh boy was I blown away. I was skeptical of the candying process on the stovetop. So glad I stuck with it!

These are AMAZING! I did walnuts and  LOVE that it’s a stovetop recipe and didn’t need to turn on the oven in this heat. Mine crystallized in about 10-11 minutes so keep an eye on them! My daughter and I use them on our fresh spinach salads.

Candied nuts are such a delicious snack, but are also fantastic to add to salads and baked goods. Rather than paying top dollar for these, I&#39;ve learned how easy it is to make them at home.  You can spice them up, or create any kind of flavor combination that you like.

How to Make Candied Pecans with a Nut Roaster Pan

nuts (pecans or walnuts are excellent, whole almonds are good too)

Mix sugar and cinnamon together. Put nuts and sugar mixture in a nut roaster pan, or any kind of nonstick pan, and a wide paddle spoon can be used.

Stir to mix.

Combine vanilla and water in a measuring cup. Add the liquid to glaze/nut mixture in the pan. Place the pan on the burner, on medium high heat.

The glaze will begin to turn into a thick liquid; boil gently during the process.

Stir contents slowly and continuously to keep the glaze coating nuts at all times, until the liquid evaporates and nuts are glazed (5 to 10 minutes). When the liquid is evaporated and the handle (or paddle) becomes harder to stir, the nuts are done. Do not overcook!

Remove the pan from burner. Quickly sprinkle a little water over the nuts (about 1 tablespoon per 2 cups of nuts).

The mixture will steam, so keep the hands away until the steam dissipates, to prevent burns. Stir nuts to coat even with the glaze.

Using a wooden spoon or spatula, immediately spread the hot nuts on a non-stick paper (parchment paper is best) cookie sheet to cool. Gently separate the nuts with a wooden spoon. Nuts will be very hot -- do not eat until cooled (even though they smell delicious and you will find it very difficult to resist!)

To store, be sure nuts are thoroughly cooled and then put in airtight containers. Refrigerate to retain freshness or freeze for future use.

You can reheat in a microwave by spreading on a flat plate and heating for 2 to 4 minutes. Or, on a non-stick cookie sheet, heat for about 7 minutes at 250°F in a conventional oven.Edit my recipe

You could even package them up and gift - assuming they don&#39;t mysteriously &quot;disappear&quot; beforehand....Use any nuts you want. Similar size nuts are ideal, though when I&#39;m feeling lazy I just grab a bag of mixed nuts. Just make sure they&#39;re unsalted.
