This Cold Crab Dip comes together in just a few minutes, with a handful of ingredients. With a cream cheese base, cocktail sauce, and lots of crabmeat, this easy party dip makes a great appetizer for holidays, game days, and other occasions as well.

Cold Crab Dip

crabmeat,

full-fat cream cheese,

mayonnaise

lemon juice

yellow onion, finely diced

Strain the can of crabmeat into a fine mesh strainer, gently run cold water over it to rinse, and then drain and flake the crab meat with a fork.

In a medium-sized bowl, cream together the cream cheese, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice until smooth and well combined. Beat in the chopped onion and then spread in the bottom of a 9-inch pie plate.

Next, spread the cocktail sauce over top of the cream cheese mixture and top with the crab meat and chopped parsley.

Refrigerate for at least 60 minutes. Serve chilled with crackers for dipping.

In a mixing bowl, stir together softened cream cheese, sour cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, Old Bay seasoning, diced celery, and chopped chives (or green onion).

Gently fold in lump crab meat, salt and pepper. Keep chilled until ready to serve with toast points, crackers, celery sticks, bell pepper strips, etc.

This easy Crab Dip recipe is meant to impress, made with fresh lump crab meat in a creamy dip that can be served hot or cold.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Add cream cheese to a mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Stir in mayo, sour cream, garlic, green onion, Old Bay seasoning, salt, Worcestershire, and lemon juice.

Add ¾ cup cheddar cheese and hot sauce and mix until smooth. Stir in crab meat.

Spread into a 9″ pie dish or similar size baking pan and sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top. Bake for about 20 minutes or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Serve warm, with slices of sourdough bread, crackers, tortilla chips or chopped cold veggies.

Leftover crab dip will keep, stored covered in the fridge, for up to 3 days. Rewarm in the microwave.

This was a huge hit at my girls night,  Everyone wanted recipe! Was worried about an entire onion but it truly enhanced the flavor and was not overpowering. ( used a small yellow) I’m from Maryland and we know our crabmeat, we are used to the heavy crab dip with cream cheese, sour cream and cheese, good but heavy and predictable. This is much lighter and just delicious! Can’t wait to make it again. Thank you 😃

I love this recipe.  It's the best crab meat pie I've ever tried.  The only thing I've learned that I do different is add a little Texas Pete hot sauce to cocktail sauce to taste just a little less sweet.  Which is nuts cause I don't like too much heat lol

Imitation Crab Meat (Flake Style)

Salt

Green Onion (finely diced (optional))

Cayenne Pepper

crackers (for dipping)

Heat Level Note* This recipe is mild to start with. You can adjust the heat level to your preference either by adding hot sauce, Ground Cayenne Pepper, or more Cajun seasoning- which contains cayenne pepper but also more salt.

Set the cream cheese out for approximately 20-30 minutes to soften.

In a large bowl, stir the 8 ounces Neuchâtel or 1/3 fat cream cheese, 3 tablespoons Sour Cream, 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, 3 tbsp Seafood Stock, and 1 teaspoon Granulated Sugar. Then add 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder, 2 tsp Cajun Seasoning, and 1 tsp Paprika. Mix until smooth.

Add 8 ounces Imitation Crab Meat and the cream cheese mixture to a food processor or blender. Gently pulse everything together until blended. Taste test for preferred heat level and increase 1/2 tsp at a time with your preferred spice. Add 1/2 tsp Salt if needed.

Transfer the dip onto a plate or platter, smoothing it out.

The dip is best made the day before and will have more crab flavor if you allow it to sit in the fridge overnight. Serve with crackers.
