These Grilled Country Style Ribs are first dry rubbed with a blend of ground cumin, oregano, black pepper and other warm spices before grilling. The exterior gets crusty and the tender interior is juicy. No typical BBQ sauce on these for an alternative, but feel free. Plus, no rib bones to deal with, just seasoned meat!

Grilled Country Style Ribs

lbs country style pork ribs ((typically 4 ribs))

lemons (juiced)

tbsp honey

BBQ Sauce ((optional))

Rub the ribs with the spice blend with your hands, pressing to adhere. Cover ribs with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for minimum 1 hour, best overnight.

In a small bowl whisk together the lemon juice and honey. Set aside.

Preheat grill to 225°F.

Place the ribs on clean and oiled grill with the larger, flatter side down.

Cover the grill and cook until browned and crusty about 90 minutes (brush with the lemon honey sauce every 30 minutes). Flip ribs, cover, and cook until browned and crusty on the other side, about 90 minutes more (basting every 30 minutes if using a BBQ sauce).

Thermometer should register 145°F when inserted into the thickest part of rib. Transfer to serving platter, tent  with foil, and let rest about 5 minutes before serving.

For Low and Slow Grilling

Take ribs from refrigerator, allow to come to room temperature at least 1 hour.

Preheat grill to 350-400°F.

Cover the grill, and cook until browned and crusty about 6-7 minutes. Flip ribs, cover, and cook until browned and crusty on the other side, about 6-7 minutes more.

Rotate the ribs so that they're resting on the thinner side, brush  with half the lemon honey sauce, cover, and cook until browned and crusty, about 5-6 minutes. Flip to the other thinner side, brush again with lemon honey sauce, cover, and cook until browned and crusty, another 5-6 minutes.

Gas Grill

Same as Gas Grill Instructions, but over indirect heat, meaning coals on one side and meat grilled on top on other side of grill.

Charcoal Grill

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Place ribs on a wire rack in a baking dish, cover with aluminum foil and bake for 2 hours. Turn ribs and baste with BBQ sauce (if using, no mop sauce needed for Baked version), continue to bake for 30 minutes uncovered.

Baked in Oven

Easy and melt-in-your-mouth pressure cooker country style ribs that only take 1 hour to cook. These ribs will become your new favorite way to make boneless or bone-in ribs.

Instant Pot Country Pork Ribs

Tbsp chili powder

Tbsp garlic

Tbsp onion powder

Tbsp smoked paprika

Tbsp sea salt

Tbsp black pepper

cayenne pepper

In a small bowl make the rub by combining the cumin, chili powder, ground garlic, ground onion powder, smoked paprika, fine sea salt, ground black pepper, cayenne pepper, and sweetener. NOTE: You can swap this for store-bought rub if preferred.

Heavily season both sides of the country ribs with the pork seasoning. You&#39;ll have more than you need, save extra rub for other pork or chicken recipes.

Add the trivet to the bottom of the pressure cooker and add the broth (or other liquid) to the bottom of the Instant Pot.

Lay the ribs on the trivet, stacking the ribs if needed to get them to fit.

Pour about 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce onto the ribs and spread the sauce evenly with a rubber tip basting brush. This is optional if you prefer your ribs without barbecue sauce!

Cook at high temperature for 45 minutes on the manual/pressure cook setting (depending on your IP model). Natural release the pressure for 15 minutes. Remove the ribs carefully and baste them with more sauce if desired.

Optional - broil the ribs for 3-5 minutes to give them a grilled appearance. Enjoy!

Made these and they turned out excellent. They said the rub recipe made extra so I just thirded it and added some extra brown sugar since I didn't have stevia. Used apple juice with beef boullion since I often have a bottle on hand. Absolutely delicious ribs! I am definitely planning on making these again.

Country style ribs

Salt

BBQ sauce (I used Stubb's Sticky Sweet)

Season the country style ribs with salt, pepper and your favorite rub

Cook them indirect on the grill which means coals on one side and the meat on the other

Target temperature inside the grill is 300 degrees

Throw some smoke wood on the coals and close the lid

Once the ribs reach about 110 degrees internal temperature, sear them over the hot side and then dunk them in a pot of sauce

Place them back on the side with no coals to get them to the full 145 degrees they need to get to according to the FDA and to caramelize and thicken that sauce

Remove from the grill and serve

Thank you Scott for a good summary of how to cook these 'ribs'.  Looked on package and they are loin rib end cut, like yours.  Had I cooked these for 4 hours like all the other internet articles said to, they would be ruined.  They were done in Weber kettle in under an hour @275°.   Those other recipes are talking about pork butt cuts, not loin cut.

Pork has a tendency to dry out easily, but this turned out to be one of the best, if not THE best, pork dish I've ever eaten including dining out.  Easily the best I've ever made myself.
