These easy caramel &amp; chocolate triple layer cracker toffee bars are a fun twist to traditional cracker toffee. One pan, three layers, and only about 10 minutes is all you need for sweet, buttery, salty perfection. It's a must make Christmas recipe!

Triple Layer Cracker Toffee Bars

box (13.7 oz) Club Crackers

(14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

brown sugar

(1 stick) salted butter

milk

(12 oz) milk chocolate chips ((about 2 cups))

Line a 9x13 baking dish with tin foil. Spray the bottom and the sides of the tin foil with cooking spray.

Place Club crackers in the bottom of the pan so it's covering the tin foil in a layer. You will probably have to break some in order to get the first layer down.&nbsp;

In a saucepan, over medium heat, combine the sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar, butter, and milk. Stir and let the butter melt. Once butter is melted, turn heart to medium-high and let it cook for 5 minutes, while stirring constantly. It will boil which is what you want.&nbsp;

Pour 1/3 of the caramel mixture over the layer of crackers and spread out evenly. Repeat this two more times, ending with the caramel layer on top.&nbsp;

Pour the bag of milk chocolate chips into a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Pour over the top caramel layer and evenly spread out. If wanted, sprinkle some Christmas sprinkles or toffee pieces on top.&nbsp;

Refrigerate for 2 hours. Lift the bars out of the pan by the overhang of the tin foil and cut into small squares. As the bars sit out at room temperature they will soften slightly. Store leftovers covered in the fridge.&nbsp;

40-50 saltine crackers

salted butter, (cubed (227 grams))

light brown sugar, (packed (200 grams))

vanilla extract

milk chocolate chips, ((or semisweet, milk, or dark))

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray. Line with a single layer of crackers arranged side-by-side. A jelly roll pan works best but if your pan is larger just fold up the edges of the foil a bit to create a barrier so the toffee doesn&#39;t spread too much when it&#39;s added. Set aside.

Combine butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat on the stove. Stir with a wooden spoon until the butter has melted and started to combine with the brown sugar. Once the mixture starts to bubble, set a timer for 3 minutes. Let it boil, stirring constantly, until the timer goes off. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.

Pour the toffee mixture evenly over the saltine crackers, then use a knife to nudge it over any crackers that didn&#39;t get covered. It doesn&#39;t have to be perfect though because it will continue to spread as the toffee bakes.

Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 5 minutes until bubbly.

Remove the toffee from the oven and immediately sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Let them sit for 2-3 minutes to melt from the residual heat of the pan, then spread with a knife of spatula to create an even coating of chocolate over the top of the toffee. Sprinkle with the chopped pecans, M&amp;M&#39;s, or other toppings while the chocolate is still soft.

Let the toffee set up until the chocolate has hardened (usually 1-2 hours at room temperature in a cool house, although you can stick it in the fridge or freezer to speed up the process). Break or cut into pieces and store in an airtight container on the counter for 1-2 weeks.

This stuff is dangerously delicious. Praline Crack is what I call it because no other name is suitable. It's a buttery, sugary, crunchy and chewy praline twist on cracker toffee! I had to expel it from my house immediately for fear I would eat the whole pan!

Sprinkle pecans on top and bake in oven for 10-12 minutes until bubbly all over. If you prefer it a little crunchier, bake for 2 more minutes.

Hi, I didn’t have any nuts on hand, but my sweet tooth got the better of me. I sprinkled Rice Krispies on top for the crunch. Sooo good!

Thank you so much for this recipe, it is delish.  When I made it, it was quite oily due to the amount of butter.  Do you think I can use less?  Would it ruin this wonderful recipe? What do you think would be the lowest amount of butter that I can use without ruining the recipe.

I’ve always loved this but had lost my recipe.  We always let them cool on opened up brown paper bags to get rid of excess butter.  And used American butter not European which has higher fat.  We’ll call it Praline Craic (Irish word for good rollicking time, usually music involved).  Grandkids favorite treat.

Saltine Cracker Toffee, or Christmas Crack Toffee, is a recipe made with saltine crackers and just 3 other ingredients!

Saltine Toffee (Christmas Crack)

(333 grams) salted butter

(377 grams) brown sugar

chocolate chips

Preheat the oven to 400° F (205° C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.

Place the saltine crackers onto the parchment lined cookie sheet in a single layer. Set aside.

In a medium sauce pan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together.

Once the butter is completely melted, turn the heat up to medium high and stop stirring. Once the mixture begins to boil, start a timer for 3 minutes.

When the mixture has been boiling for 3 minutes, remove from heat and pour over the saltine crackers.

Spread to cover the crackers.

Place the pan with the crackers and brown sugar and butter mixture into the 400° F (205° C) oven for 5 minutes. The mixture will be bubbling and it will look like the crackers and floating in the mixture.

Remove from the oven and sprinkle the top with the chocolate chips.

Return to the oven for about 1 minute, until the chocolate is completely melted.

Remove from the oven and spread the chocolate to cover the top of the toffee.

Allow the toffee to cool at room temperature for 30 minutes and then place in the fridge to help set up the toffee and chocolate faster.

Once the toffee is completely cool, break or cut into pieces and enjoy!

This was super easy and I will honestly make it for all occasions.

It's delicious although mine chocolate seperated from the rest of the bar. I went to cut it and the chocolate kept falling of the top of the treat. Do you know what I did wrong? I thought I followed the recipe to a tee. Thanks
