Sweet buttery corn in a creamy base seasoned to perfection.

Homemade Creamed Corn

corn kernels (drained if canned)

onion

butter

flour

sugar

heavy cream

milk

salt & pepper

thyme

Combine onion and butter and cook over medium heat until the onion is translucent, about 4 minutes.

Add flour, salt and pepper. Cook 2-3 minutes while stirring. Add corn and mix well.

Add in milk, cream, sugar and thyme.&nbsp;Stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.&nbsp; Allow to boil 1 minute while stirring.

Remove 1 cup of the corn mixture and blend with a hand mixer until smooth. Stir back into the creamed corn.

Taste and season with salt and pepper.

Hatch Chile Cream Corn Recipe

Fresh corn on the cob. (Shave the corn off of the cob.)

Hatch chiles diced.

oz Cream cheese.

Heavy cream.

oz Butter.

tbsp Cajun seasoning.

Sauté corn and chiles in butter, on med heat for 5-6 minutes.

Add cream and cream cheese, mix thoroughly to combine.

Shake seasoning over corn mix to taste.

Serve in a bowl and enjoy.

HATCH CHILE CREAM CORN RECIPE! Pit Boss Ultimate Griddle Recipe!

Use your freeze dried corn to make this delicious cream corn recipe.

Cream Corn Recipe (Using Freeze-Dried Corn)

corn

Tablespoons butter

salt (or

black pepper (or

milk (more if needed)

Tablespoons flour (more if needed)

bacon (cooked and chopped)

onions

parmesan (grated)

Add freeze-dried corn and cream together in a large pot. Turn heat to medium and cook until the corn is completely rehydrated.

Add butter, salt, pepper, milk and flour and stir to combine (adding more milk, if needed).

Once the corn begins to thicken, stir in cooked bacon, sauteed onions and parmesan cheese.

Continue stirring until cream corn is thickened to your liking, taste and adjust seasonings.

Serve and enjoy!

Using cream, butter, parmesan cheese, and lots of sweet corn to make the BEST Creamed Corn you’ve ever had! Each bite is so smooth, cheesy, and loaded with flavor!

Creamed Corn

unsalted butter

shallot (diced)

garlic (grated

sweet yellow corn kernels

tsp kosher salt

tsp black pepper (plus more for garnish)

cayenne pepper

tbsp all purpose flour

cheese

parsley (for garnish)

In a large nonstick or cast iron skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the diced shallot and sauté until soft, translucent, and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Stir frequently.

Add the garlic to the skillet and cook for another 30 seconds.

Add the corn, heavy cream, sugar, salt, pepper, and cayenne. Stir to combine and cook for 2 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and flour until smooth. Slowly pour the mixture into the corn and stir to combine. Cook, stirring constantly, for about 5 minutes or until thick and heated through.  If still not thick, cook a bit longer until you achieve the thickness you like.

Remove from heat and stir in the parmesan until it’s melted. Season to taste.

Garnish with chopped parsley and cracked black pepper. Serve while hot.

If you&#39;re in search of a recipe that uses canned or frozen corn kernels, then keep looking because this is not it. This is legit... southern... melt-in-your-mouth... homemade creamed corn.

Southern Creamed Corn

5-6 Ears of Corn

Unsalted butter

Salt

cut corn

Using a sharp knife, cut only the tips of the kernels of corn off the cob. Do this all the way around the cob.

milk corn

Then, use the back of a butter knife to scrape down the cobs - removing all the corn juice and pulp that remains.

cook corn

Transfer creamed corn to a medium stock pan. Add butter and salt and stir over medium-low heat.

serve corn

Cook 10-15 minutes, stirring often and adjusting the heat to prevent sticking. Serve warm with your favorite meat and veggie.

So sweet and easy! But definitely did not take 5 mins to prep. My hand was cramping trying to milk 5 cobs! 😂 It took me 10-15 mins in total. I’ll make it again if there’s corn in the reduce to clear section of my supermarket!

This Old Fashioned Creamed Corn is a classic comfort food. It has sweet corn kernels in a creamy, buttery sauce. Served hot, it makes the perfect companion to your favorite main dishes.

Old Fashioned Creamed Corn Recipe

Tablespoons all-purpose flour

Tablespoons sugar

Salt and black pepper

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add corn and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Sprinkle flour and sugar over the mixture and stir well to coat the corn.

Slowly pour in the milk while continuously stirring to prevent lumps from forming.

Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer. Stir frequently to prevent sticking.

Continue to cook on low heat until the mixture thickens, usually about 5-7 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Serve hot as a side dish and enjoy your creamed corn.
