Learn how to make leek sauce perfect for serving with chicken, pork, pasta, and more! This is a deliciously easy chicken and leek sauce!

Leeks Sauce Recipe

Tbsp. Meat drippings (optional)

Tbsp. Butter (unsalted)

Salt and pepper

Leeks quartered length ways and then roughly chopped

Garlic garlic paste

Tbsp. Flour

Chicken stock or chicken broth

Milk

Mustard

Sour Cream

If using meat drippings, remove the meat and lower the heat to medium. If not using meat drippings, heat a large frying pan to medium heat and melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add leeks to the skillet. Make sure to move the leeks around in order for them not to burn.

While the leeks are cooking add some finely chopped garlic and stir in well. Once the leeks have softened, stir in 2 tablespoon flour and then gradually add the stock and milk.

When the broth starts to simmer, turn the heat to low and allow the sauce to thicken, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. At this point you can also add your protein back to the pan to cook it in the sauce.

Once the sauce has thickened, add 1 teaspoon of ground mustard and 3 tablespoon of sour cream into the chicken and leek sauce.

Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into the sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste. Finish by stirring in some fresh tarragon leaves.

Showcasing fresh leek in a superbly rich and creamy Alfredo sauce, toss it with some pasta and dinner is ready in 15 minutes!

spaghetti (, cooked al dente (or pasta of choice))

Asiago or Parmesan cheese

Heat the butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and saute the leek until soft, 5-7 minutes. Stir in the flour and cook for another minute or two. Stir in the cream and milk and add the bouillon, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to medium, cover and simmer for 5 minutes until thickened. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add the cooked spaghetti and toss to coat.Serve immediately with freshly grated Asiago or Parmesan cheese.

Excellent! I made this last week and again tonight. I added chicken thighs to add some protein. Tonight I swapped zucchini noodles for the noodles. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Simple ingredients, easy to prepare, but packed with flavor.  I added oven-baked meatballs.  Wonderful.
