I don't think I've ever left a review for a recipe and usually I'd turn my nose up at using a packaged ingredient (pillsbury) but this was actually incredible! I served it after Easter with leftovers and it was amazing.. my guests were freaking out about how good it was!!

We just had this for lunch. It's a cross between a day after Thanksgiving sandwich and a day after Thanksgiving casserole. YUM! Very easy to make. We didn't eat it all so hope it heats up well tomorrow.

Apple Pie Crescent Rolls

Crescent rolls (8 count tube)

butter (vegan if ya want)- melted

apple

brown sugar

cinnamon

nutmeg

all spice

Lay out each crescent roll on a clean flat surface.

In a bowl, mix together the butter and apple slices.

In another bowl, mix together the sugar + spices. Evenly divide the sugar mixture on top of the crescent rolls and press it down into the roll with your hand so that it really sticks.

Lay a buttered apple on the wide end of each roll and roll up the crescent roll as usual.

Place on a lined baking sheet. Brush the remaining butter that was in the apple bowl on top of each roll and sprinkle them with cane sugar + dash of cinnamon.

These were so delicious and easy to make!! My boyfriends family is from lithuania and I wanted to suprise him by making these. My sister and I made them together, we spilled the brown sugar everywhere but it was a fun experience overall! Thank you so much for this recipe :) his family was thrilled and I got to try something new!!

Cheesy Chicken Crescent Dinner Rolls

Big & Flaky Crescent Dinner Rolls (one 12 oz. tube)

softened cream cheese

cheddar cheese

mozzarella cheese

chicken

salt -to taste

garlic powder(or more to taste)

black pepper

butter

Tablespoons grated Parmesan

dry Italian seasoning mix

Preheat the oven to 375 F and line baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl stir together softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar and mozzarella, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Stir well to combine. Add shredded chicken and stir again to combine everything evenly.

Unroll crescent rolls, separate them and divide the filling between 8 big crescent rolls. Roll them up tightly, seal well and arrange them onto baking sheet leaving 2 inches apart.

Brush the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with grated parmesan. Sprinkle a hint of dry Italian seasoning on top and bake 15-18 minutes until golden brown.

Saved the recipe a few weeks ago and today we are inside due to several inches of snow so I thought a perfect time to try this new recipe.  Oh my... they are delish.  I added a little chopped onion to the mix because we just like a little onion.  Really good and so very easy.

Soft and fluffy and slightly sweet, these Sweet Potato Buttermilk Crescent Rolls are perfect for a holiday. These homemade crescent rolls are so much better than store bought!

Sweet Potato Buttermilk Crescent Roll Recipe

mashed sweet potatoes (at room temperature)

buttermilk (at room temperature)

egg (at room temperature)

sugar

active dry yeast ((2 packets))

salt

bread flour

Combine

Combine the sweet potatoes, buttermilk, egg, butter, sugar, yeast and salt in the bowl of a stand mixer. Mix on low until combined. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes.

Using the paddle attachment, add in 1 cup of the flour. Add in more flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until a soft dough forms. If you are using a stand mixer, switch to the dough hook and knead the dough for 6-7 minutes, adding more flour as needed to form a dough that is tacky but not overly sticky.

Rise

Scrape the dough from the bowl and form into a smooth ball. Grease a large bowl and place the dough in the bowl.* Turn the dough to coat in oil. Cover with a towel or a piece of plastic wrap that has been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Let the dough rise until it has doubled.

Divide

When the dough has doubled, punch the dough down and turn it out onto a counter that has been lightly floured. Cut the dough into 3 equal pieces.

Roll Out

Working with one piece at a time, roll the dough into a circle about 12-inches in diameter. Use a pizza cutter to cut the circle into 12 wedges.

Roll Up

Starting at the wide end, roll up the wedges into a crescent shape. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silpat liner. Repeat with the remaining 2 balls of dough.

Cover the rolls loosely with a towel and let the rolls rise again until doubled.

Preheat

While the rolls are rising, preheat the oven to 350ºF.

Bake

Once the rolls have doubled, bake them in the preheated oven until they are browned and cooked through, 15-20 minutes.

Melt

Brush

Remove from the oven and brush with the melted butter.

I was wondering if I could double the amount of sweet potato without changing the quantities of the other ingredients. I actually would like to increase the nutritional value with the doubled amount. Do you have any experience with this?
