Brown pork chops on both sides in the butter using a skillet on top of the stove.  Add pork chops to crock pot or slow cooker.

In a bowl whisk together the brown sugar, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce and the applesauce.  Cook on low for 7 hours or high for 4 hours.

Grease a large slow cooker with cooking&nbsp;spray. Roll a few small balls of aluminum
foil and place in slow cooker, creating a
rack for the chicken.&nbsp;In a small bowl, whisk together brown
sugar, chili powder, paprika, and thyme.&nbsp;Pat chicken dry with paper towels and
season generously with salt and pepper.
Rub brown sugar mixture all over chicken,
then place in slow cooker, breast side up.&nbsp;Cook on high for 2
½ to 3
½ hours, until the
juices between the leg and the thigh run
clear or a thermometer inserted into the
thigh reads 165°.&nbsp;Remove chicken from slow cooker. To crisp
up the skin, transfer chicken to a large
baking sheet and broil until golden, 3 to 4
minutes. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing
and serving.

This recipe sounds delicious. After 60 yrs of home cooked meals I can pretty much tell, as long as you know the difference between TSP and TBSP., lol, you should be ok. Like Ina Gartnen, I despise cilantro, so I use parsley. It’s the only thing I do not like.  82 yrs of age I try recipe from around the world thanks to the internet. So slow cooked chicken, here I come. Sour cream with the sauce sounds perfect.  By the way I am also into tangines with preserved lemons . So yummy.

I made this a couple months ago. Loved it so much I had to look it up again to make it for dinner tonight. My chicken took a bit longer, the first time, because it wasn't completely thawed.

The first time I made this everyone was starving and we had to eat at a certain time.  I set the cooker for 3 1/2 hrs and as the time was approaching the chicken didn't really look done so I frantically began to preheat the oven... however to my surprise it was perfect!  So if you're making this and your chicken doesn't look done, don't worry!!  The only thing I would caution is that 4 min to broil is way to long.  I set it to three and it was about to burn.  Next time I'll do only two.  Other than that it was amazing!!🍗😋

Pretty bland and mediocre. Nobody in the family was impressed. If you’re looking for something to excite your taste buds, this is not it. Won’t be trying this recipe again.

Went straight in the bin. Could not serve this abomination to my family. Ruined a whole chicken. Editor. You need to check this recipe as 1 tablespoon of chili powder is enough to exterminate an entire nest of rodents.

A rotisserie is a piece of cooking hardware, not a flavoring! Putting a chicken into a slow cooker will never make it a rotisseried chicken. Probably tastes good,though.

Absolutely foul. Way too much chilli powder. Too hot to eat and tastes bitter.

This Is Not A Drill! Slow-Cooker Rotisserie Chicken Actually Works.

Learn how to make this delicious Jamaican style coconut curry chicken in your crock pot, so flavoursome and delicious.

Jamaican Coconut Curry Chicken (Slow Cooker)

½ chicken

curry powder (see notes for recipe to homemade recipe)

onion powder (or granules)

garlic powder (or granules)

tbsp all purpose seasoning

tbsp black pepper

ginger

tsp coriander

cilantro

parsley

½ tbsp pink salt

olive oil (can use coconut oil)

curry powder

onion

scallion (sliced)

garlic, (minced)

thyme (or dried)

full fat coconut milk (**MUST BE FULL FAT**)

bay leaves

carrots

mixed bell peppers

pink salt, black pepper

scotch bonnet (whole) (optional)

Place all of the meat in a large bowl and use a fork/knife to make small holes. This will helps seasoning to penetrate (make sure the meat is blotted dry from washing it).

Sprinkle the curry powder, ground coriander, onion powder, garlic powder, ginger, black pepper, all purpose seasoning, pink salt, parsley and cilantro.

Use your hands (can wear gloves) to work the seasoning into the chicken.

Wrap the bowl and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight (recommended).

On medium heat, add the olive oil to the skillet and add 1 tbsp of curry powder and cook the curry for about 1 minute.

Add the onion, scallion and garlic then proceed to saute in the pan until soft and translucent.

Now add the chicken and begin to sear the chicken until the meat turns color/seal and is no longer pink. This is will take about 10 minutes or so (it&#39;s normal for the chicken to extract its own juices).

Once seared, transfer the contents of the skillet to your crockpot.

Add the bay leaves, scotch bonnet, thyme, coconut milk and knob of coconut cream (coconut butter/manna).

Switch the slow cooker on, cover the crock pot with a lid and set to cook on high for 4 hours.

1hr-45 minutes before the cooking time is done add your carrots and mixed bell peppers.

Once the cooking time has finished do a taste test and adjust for additional pink salt, black pepper or more seasoning if required.

Discard the bay leaves, scotch bonnet and thyme stems prior to serving

Crock Pot Texas Style Boneless Beef Ribs are quick and easy ribs that are full of so much flavor.

Crock Pot Texas Style Boneless Beef Ribs

2½-3 lbs Texas style boneless beef ribs

salt

tsp black pepper

ketchup

tbsp red wine vinegar

tbsp honey

mustard

onion powder

paprika

½ tsp pepper

½ tsp red pepper flakes

Spray a 6-8 quart crock pot with non stick spray. Set aside.

Cut beef ribs in half, if needed, and remove any large pieces of fat.

Place in crock pot and seasoned ribs with salt and pepper.

In a small bowl, stir all ingredients together until combined.

Pour barbecue sauce over ribs, cover and cook on high for 4-6 hours or until tender.

For The Homemade Barbecue Sauce

Crock Pot Potato Soup is made with cream instead of milk which makes delicious and thick. It&#x27;s full of potatoes and bacon!

Crock Pot Potato Soup

potatoes

chicken broth

celery (diced)

Salt (to your taste)

Pepper (to your taste)

sage

all purpose flour

heavy whipping cream (divided)

Parmesan cheese (grated, divided)

bacon

Tablespoons cilantro (minced)

Combine the first 9 ingredients in a 5 or 6 quart crock pot.  Cover with the lid and cook on low for 5 or 6 hours or until potatoes are tender.

Combine the flour and 1/2 cup of cream in a small bowl, mix until smooth. Stir into the broth in the crock pot. Add in the 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, crumbled bacon, cilantro and remaining cream into the crock pot. Stir to combine.

Cover and continue cooking 30 minutes until soup is slightly thickened.  Place soup into bowls, sprinkle with remaining Parmesan Cheese, serve.

Probably 20-30 minutes depending on how hot your crock pot is. Please watch the shrimp so it doesn't overcook. Serve over rice and enjoy! Makes 6-8 servings.

In your slow cooker add the chicken, soy sauce, honey, hoisin sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, and salt and pepper. Stir until well combined.

Cook in the slow cooker for 3-4 hours on high or 6-7 hours on low. Make sure to flip the chicken breast over when cooked halfway.

Once fully cooked, shred the chicken.

Serve with rice and top with scallions and sesame seeds

Brown the hamburger, onions and minced garlic in a skillet on top of the stove. Remove, drain and put in soup pot or crock pot.  Add remaining ingredients to soup pot or crock pot and if cooking on top of the stove, cook until potatoes and carrots are soft.

Cook in crock pot for 6 hours on low or 4 hours on high. 

Once cooked, garnish with cheddar cheese.

This soup was delicious! I didn't put in spinach or the milk. Will definitely make again and was great on a cold night

We love this. I leave the spinach out. My husband is allergic. So I add in some frozen green beans. Frozen hold up better. It was is good. My family loves it.

This was really easy to put together and I am excited to try this tonight. I have kale and swiss chard in the garden so when it stops raining, I'll run out and grab a bit to put in the soup. (My spinach bolted and I haven't gotten around to reseeding.) I have a feeling my family will enjoy it.

I made this yesterday with lower fat hamburger (93pct) but otherwise the same. I left out the milk (lactose intolerant) but otherwise used recipe unchanged. This is very good. A nice change from my regular soup rotation. I love the texture of the crumbly ground beef and the corn kernels. I didn't find the cheese added all that much, so if you are watching your fat grams, just leave it out and add a spoonful of mild or hot salsa for a kick and a change-up. It's better the second day, as most soups can be. If you want to pretend it's "cheeseburger soup" for the kids, add a square of American cheese and a pile of very finely shredded letttuce and even a pickle on top. You can hid other veg in here for a healthy dinner.

Made this last week in the crockpot. Husband raved about it. I left out the spinach, that's the only change I made. We had 3 meals from it.

I made this soup for the third time yesterday!!  I cook it in the crockpot. This time I used half ground beef and half sweet Italian sausage,,,,,,,yummm
Used potatoes, carrots, onions from the garden, frozen corn kernels, and fresh spinach.  We enjoy it with a salad........

I just wanted to expand on my comment: 

My husband said it was one of the best soups. That surprised me only because I had once showed him a different recipe for a cheeseburger-like soup and he either turned it down or one of us wasn't sure he would like it. So I showed this to him on a whim. 

We almost did not make it because of the spinach (he doesn't like that in soup) until I informed him that I could leave it out.

The beef vegetable soup I made and reviewed also got high praise. Since it made so much we took some to a neighbor who also let me know how much he liked it. 

Both were a blessing to me personally since they are affordable, make a good amount (I can give some away) or I can freeze them. 

I made it clear that these were not my recipes, but yours. I played a bit with them but you created them. 

I have a few of your crock pot recipes to try plus one more soup recipe. Am sure they will be a hit.

Hi, I tried this last night and my husband really loved it. I did reduce the parsley to 2 tsp and since I was out of milk----I used half evaporated milk and half water (courtesy of the Internet!) 

Oh I left out the spinach; he doesn't like it in soup

I whisked the milk and cornstarch separately and added it when the potatoes were just about done. I also made this on the stove top. I added more cornstarch to try to thicken it a bit more.
