Tbsp Brown Sugar Swerve

Tbsp apple cider vinegar

½ Tbsp liquid smoke (optional but highly recommended)

Combine all ingredients together in a medium saucepan 

Heat on stove, stirring constantly to make sure it doesn’t stick or burn or boil over and to make sure the sweetener is completely dissolved and smooth

When cooled off enough place BBQ sauce in your jar or container to store it in your refrigerator

This homemade BBQ sauce is sweet, tangy, and as spicy as you want it to be. You’ll never want to use store-bought BBQ sauce again!

Worcestershire sauce (or soy sauce)

magic dust

Hot sauce Tabasco

Make the magic dust first (by combining all of the ingredients in a container then shaking to combine them). You will only need 1 tablespoon of it.

For the barbecue sauce, mix all of the ingredients together (including a tablespoon of magic dust) in a pot over medium high heat and bringing to a boil. Reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes, stirring until sauce is dark and ingredients incorporated. Remove from heat.

Allow to cool and store in a jar with an airtight lid, and use accordingly. Enjoy!

Homemade barbecue sauce is cheaper and tastier than store-bought BBQ sauce and you can use better ingredients with less preservatives. (Yields 2 1/4 cups)

Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil then lower the heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes or until sauce is thickened.

Add more sugar or seasonings to taste if desired, then remove from heat. Cool completely to room temperature then cover and store in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks.*
