Instant Pot Chicken Legs

Place frozen chicken in large mixing bowl. Toss with olive oil.

Add salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder mix together with hands.

Toss chicken with the herbs unless you&#8217;re omitting this part.

Put the trivet in the Instant pot and place the chicken on top of the trivet.

Close the Instant Pot, turn valve to sealing, set manual and cook for 20 minutes. Once the time elapses turn the knob to venting and quick release. When the pin drops remove the chicken legs with tongs.

Turn on the broiler on the stove. Line cookie sheet with foil. Crisp the chicken under the broiler for 5 minutes. Remove and enjoy!

Instant Pot Teriyaki Chicken {Better than take-out!}

maple syrup

soy sauce (I used Bragg's liquid aminos)

tbsp rice vinegar

garlic

ginger

Sesame seeds and green onion (for garnish)

In Instant Pot, add water, maple syrup or honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger and chicken.

Close the lid, set pressure vent to Sealing and press Pressure Cooking on High for 10 minutes if using boneless chicken or 20 minutes for bone in chicken.

Display will say ON, Instant Pot will take about 15 minutes to come to pressure, you will see a bit of steam coming out from a valve, then float valve will rise and countdown will begin.

After 10 or 20 minutes, Instant Pot will beep and display will say OFF. Wait 5 minutes and then turn pressure valve to Venting position to release remaining pressure.

Open the lid, shred chicken right in the pot and press Saute (cancel Keep Warm if it’s on).

In a small bowl, whisk cold water and cornstarch with a fork, pour over chicken and stir gently. Cook for a few minutes until sauce has thickened a bit.

Serve with brown rice or quinoa, garnished with sesame seeds and green onion.

Homemade Instant Pot Chicken Noodle Soup just like my Ukrainian grandma used to make but easier with a pressure cooker. A healthy comfort food dinner with tender chicken, veggies and egg noodles in a flavorful broth!

Instant Pot Chicken Noodle Soup {Grandma's Recipe}

In Instant Pot, place chicken, onion, carrots, bay leaves, peppercorns and water (half chicken broth if cooking with breasts).

Close the lid, set pressure vent to Sealing and press Pressure Cook on High or Manual for: whole chicken and bone-in pieces - 30 minutes, chicken breasts - 10 minutes.

After, wait for 10 minutes and do Quick Release by turning pressure valve to Venting position, which takes 3-4 minutes.

Open the lid and using a mesh strainer discard any foam, onion, bay leaves and peppercorns.

At this point chicken is so cooked, you can easily break it into pieces with a long utensil right inside the pot, remove bones. If using chicken breasts, remove on a plate and shred with 2 forks.

Add oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper and egg noodles. Stir, close the lid, turn on Keep Warm and let noodles “cook” for 10 minutes.

Open, add fresh parsley or dill and serve hot. That was easy dinner in one pot.

Instant Pot Chicken Noodle Soup

Tender frozen chicken breast in the air fryer, quick and healthy dinner for any day of the week. This is my most-cooked air fryer recipe, always delicious and so versatile. Change the seasoning according to taste.

Frozen Chicken Breast in the Air Fryer

chicken breasts (Note 1)

oil spray

sweet paprika powder (Note 2)

fine sea salt and black pepper

Preheat air fryer

Preheat the air fryer according to its instructions, mine needs 3 minutes to achieve the temperature of 180 degrees Celsius/ 360 degrees Fahrenheit.

Season chicken

Season chicken: Spray or rub the chicken with oil. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and the spices of choice. Place it in the basket.

Cook chicken

Cook for 10 minutes. Flip and cook for a further 5 minutes.

Check temperature

Check the internal temperature, it should be 74 degrees Celsius/ 165 degrees Fahrenheit. If the chicken breast pieces are thinner or thicker, adjust the cooking time. 1.2 cm/ ½ inch thick: about 10 minutes2.5 cm/ 1 inch thick: about 15 minutes4 cm / 1 ½ inches: about 20-22 minutes5 cm/ 2 inches: about 28–30 minutes

Air Fryer Chicken Patties / Air Fryer Frozen Chicken Patties

Learn how to cook bone-in skin on frozen chicken thighs in air fryer like a pro. The result is surprising, flavourful, tender, and juicy chicken with crispy skin like you cook it from fresh.

Frozen Chicken Thighs In Air Fryer

Place the frozen chicken thighs in the air fryer basket skin side up, spray the top of the chicken with cooking oil. Season with salt and black pepper and sprinkle the all-purpose seasoning on the chicken. Flip the chicken using a kitchen tong then repeat the seasoning process.

Cook the frozen chicken thighs for a total of 20-30 minutes at 180C/360F depending on the size and thickness flipping it halfway through the cooking time. If you are not sure that the chicken is cooked, check with an instant meat thermometer and the internal temperature should register 165F/74C.If after the cooking time, the skin is not as crispy as you want then you can increase the temperature of the air fryer to 190C/380F for another 3-5 minutes.

Place the chicken breasts into the Instant Pot.

Sprinkle with paprika, salt and pepper.

When cooking time ends, allow a natural pressure release for 10 minutes.

Once done, do a quick pressure release.

Add all ingredients to Instant Pot in the order in which they are listed. Press the pressure cook button and select the high setting, then set to cook for 20 minutes.

Instant Pot will take about 10-15 minutes to preheat then the 20 minutes to pressure cook.

Let the pressure naturally release once chicken has finished cooking (should take 15-20 min), then open lid when safe to do so.

Remove chicken from Instant Pot, discard water, then slice each breast with a fork and knife if desired. Serve and enjoy!

Healthy Chicken Alfredo

11 oz whole wheat

tbsp oil

stock (low sodium)

cold 2% or 3.25% milk

cornstarch

tsp salt

black pepper (to taste)

Parmesan cheese (grated)

garlic (grated)

peas (broccoli

tbsp parsley (for garnish)

Fill large pot with water and bring it to a boil.

In a medium bowl, add cold stock, milk, cornstarch, 1/2 tsp salt and whisk with a fork. Set aside.

In the meanwhile, preheat large deep ceramic non-stick skillet on medium heat and swirl oil to coat.

Sprinkle chicken with a bit of salt and pepper, add to a skillet and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

While chicken is cooking, add 1 tsp of salt and pasta to boiling water. Cook for 7 minutes until pasta is al dente, stirring a few times to make sure noodles do not stick.

Give cornstarch mixture a whisk and add it to the skillet. Stir, bring to a boil and cook for 2 minutes or until bubbly and thickened.

Add Parmesan cheese, garlic and stir until cheese has melted.

Using tongs, transfer noodles directly from the pot to the skillet. No need to drain in a colander. Grab a bunch at a time, hold right above the pot for a few seconds and add to the skillet.

Stir and add peas, broccoli or spinach. Let chicken alfredo warm through for a minute.

Turn off the heat and garnish with parsley and black pepper. Serve hot.

You can buy frozen grilled chicken strips at the grocery store, or you can take a few minutes to cook and freeze your own. Save money and enjoy the convenience!

How to Make Frozen Grilled Chicken Strips

tbsp Basic Spice Blend (or other favorite seasoning)

Heat the outdoor grill. Season the chicken pieces to taste with the spice blend.

Cook the chicken on the hot grill until an internal temperature of 155 degrees is reached. Tent with foil and allow to rest for 10 minutes. The internal temperature should rise to 165 while resting.

Chill the chicken in the refrigerator until cold, about 1 hour. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Slice the chicken into thin strips and place them in a single layer on the prepared tray. Place the tray in the freezer and freeze until firm, about 1 hour.

Once frozen solid, package the strips in a plastic ziptop freezer bag and store in the freezer. To use, remove however many strips you want from the bag and use in your recipes.

Stop thawing your frozen chicken breasts in the microwave! With your trusty Instant Pot, you can cook the chicken straight from the freezer in less than 30 minutes. In no time, you&#39;ll have tender, juicy chicken ready to shred for using on pizza, salads, tacos—you name it!

Add your seasonings of choice.

Seal the lid and set the Instant Pot to Manual on High for 10-12 minutes (larger breasts will need more time to cook.)

Let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes, then do a quick release for any remaining pressure.

Use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temp reaches 165°F (75°C).

Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before shredding.

I love buying a big bag of frozen chicken! It comes in handy when I’m in a pinch, and cooking it from frozen in the Instant Pot is a game changer! I will never need to worry about thawing chicken again.
