Best Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe

TBS salted butter (softened)

Place 2 slices medium cheddar cheese and 1 slice American cheese on a piece of bread. Then, cover it with a second slice of bread, forming a sandwich.

Use ½ TBS butter to butter the outside of each outer face of bread on the sandwich (so 1 TBS butter per sandwich, half per side).

Repeat with remaining ingredients to make a second sandwich.

Place both sandwiches in a large skillet.

Turn the heat on to medium-low and cover the skillet with a lid. Cook on medium-low for 5-10 minutes, or until the bottom slice of bread is golden-brown.

Flip sandwich over and continue cooking an additional 3-4 minutes until the second side is golden-brown and the cheese is melted. Note: the second side will cook faster since the skillet will be heated up by the time you flip the sandwich over.

Remove from pan and serve immediately.

Italian Grilled Cheese Sandwiches is my favorite twist to a traditional grilled cheese! Any dinner that's ready in 15 minutes is my kind of easy weeknight meal!

Italian Grilled Cheese

artisan bread

mozzarella cheese ((or about 1/3 cup shredded))

marinara pasta sauce ((store-bought

basil leaves (, chopped (optional))

butter (for spreading on bread)

Spread butter on the "outside" pieces of bread that will touch the griddle when cooking.&nbsp;

Spread marinara sauce on the inside pieces of the sandwich bread.&nbsp;

Layer mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top of the marinara sauce.&nbsp;Top with fresh basil, if using.

Place bread slices together to make a sandwich. Place sandwich on hot griddle or skillet and cook until cheese is melted and bread is golden brown and toasted.&nbsp;

Serve immediately.

This Provolone Grilled Cheese with Honey tastes like a gourmet meal, but comes together in just 10 minutes! It&#039;s cheesy, stretchy, and has just enough sweetness to balance out the salty flavors!

Provolone Grilled Cheese with Honey Recipe

Set a skillet over medium-low heat. Once hot, add 2 slices of bread with the butter-side down. Add provolone and mozzarella slices to one of the slices and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.

Close the sandwich with the golden brown side on the outside. Continue cooking for 3-4 minutes, flipping ones and pressing down the sandwich, until the cheese melts. (If the cheese is not melted, but the bread is done, you can put a lid on your skillet and let it cook for 2-3 more minutes.)

Drizzle honey right before serving.

Pre-heat air fryer to 375ºF (190ºC). Spread ½ tbsp butter on one side of each slice of bread.

Assemble the sandwiches by adding sliced cheese on the side of the bread that isn&#39;t buttered and close with another slice of bread with the butter-side up.

Transfer the sandwich to the air fryer basket, and cook for 3 minutes. Then, flip and cook for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Drizzle honey right before serving.

Transfer sandwiches to a baking sheet and bake for 5-6 minutes, then flip and bake for another 5-6 minutes or until golden brown on both sides and melty on the inside. Drizzle honey right before serving.
