Instant Pot Ground Beef and Shells — kinda speaks for itself, doesn&#039;t it? Creamy, cheesy, comforting, and all the things you love in one dish, plus half the cooking time you&#039;d normally need. And it&#039;s a great way to use up those pantry staples!

Instant Pot Ground Beef Pasta

Set your pressure cooker to SAUTE. Drizzle with oil, then add the ground beef and saute 4-5  minutes, breaking beef into pieces as it cooks, until browned.

Stir in Italian seasoning and garlic for 1 minute longer. Transfer ground beef to a bowl and cover tightly to keep warm.

Add marinara, water, broth, noodles, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) to the pot and give it a good stir.

Place the lid on the pot and slide it into the locked position and turn the vent valve to the sealed position.

Set to PRESSURE COOK or MANUAL for 8 minutes.

Do a QUICK RELEASE (immediately turn the vent valve to VENT position) and remove the lid once the float valve drops.

Stir in ground beef and mozzarella cheese. Once cheese is melted and incorporated, add salt and pepper to taste.

Garnish with fresh parsley, basil, or thyme if desired and serve.

This is total comfort food; a one dish recipe, with even the pasta cooking in the same skillet.

One-Skillet Cheesy Beef and Macaroni

beef (85/15%)

vegetable or olive oil

chopped red, yellow, orange, or green bell pepper

carrots

onion

(28-ounce) cans crushed tomatoes in juice

Worcestershire sauce

chili powder (optional but recommended)

salt and freshly ground pepper (to taste)

dried elbow macaroni

cheddar cheese ((8 ounces))

Heat a very large skillet (for this full recipe, it should be a deep 12-inch pan) over medium high heat and brown the beef, stirring until no pink remains, about 5 minutes.  Drain the beef and set aside.  

Wipe out the skillet, add the oil, and heat it over medium heat. Add the peppers, carrots, onion and garlic and sauté until almost tender, about 5 minutes.

Add the ground beef back to the skillet, as well as the basil, oregano, tomatoes with their juice, water, Worcestershire sauce, and chili powder if using.  Season with salt and pepper, turn the heat to high, and bring to a simmer.  Add the pasta, stir and cover.  Lower the heat to medium and simmer covered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender, and most of the liquid is absorbed, 8 to 10 minutes.  Taste and season again if needed.

Sprinkle the cheese over the casserole then cover for just 1 more minute until the cheese is melty, and serve.  Serve this right out of the pan.

Easy Creamy Ground Beef Pasta

(14 fluid ounce) can diced tomatoes (with juices)

tomato paste

Dijon mustard (see note)

Italian seasoning

heavy/whipping cream

Salt & pepper (to taste)

Boil a salted pot of water for the pasta and cook it al dente according to package directions.

Add the onion and olive oil to a large skillet (or small pot/Dutch oven) and cook for 4-5 minutes over medium-high heat.

Add in the ground beef and garlic and continue cooking for another 8 minutes or so until the beef has browned (break the meat up with your spoon as you go along). Spoon out excess fat if there&#039;s a lot of it.

Stir in the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, Dijon mustard, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 4-5 minutes or until the sauce has reduced somewhat.

Stir in the cream and cook for another 3-5 minutes (it&#039;ll warm through and reduce a bit).

Season with salt &amp; pepper as needed and toss with the drained pasta. Serve with parmesan cheese if desired.

Taco Pasta Bake

Ground Beef (10-12%)

/ 250 milliliters Low Sodium Beef Stock

Cheese (see notes)

tbsp Taco Seasoning

Onion,

Pickled Jalapeños, finely diced (optional)

Olive Oil,

Oil Spray, to top

Sour Cream, to drizzle

Red Onion, finely diced

Tomato, finely diced

Avocado, diced

Add a drizzle of oil to a large pan over medium heat and add onion (and jalapeños if using). Fry until they begin to soften &amp; brown, then add beef. Break up with a wooden spoon and continue frying until nicely browned and fully cooked through.

Add in taco seasoning then stir in 1 heaped tbsp tomato puree. Fry for a few mins, then pour in 1cup/250ml beef stock and 1 can of chopped tomatoes. Deglaze the pan as necessary, give it all a good stir and allow to simmer on low-medium for 10-15mins until the sauce begins to thicken and the tomatoes have burst.

Meanwhile pop 10.5oz/300g pasta in salted boiling water and cook until JUST al dente (if it&#039;s properly cooked it&#039;ll turn soft and sloppy in the oven, you want it still a little hard). Just before draining scoop out a cup of the starchy pasta water. Pre heat oven to 200C/390F.

Combine pasta and beef with 1/3cup of starchy pasta water. Give it a good stir until everything is blended. The starchy water will help create a sauce, with the starch molecules emulsifying with the fat in the sauce. Stir in your cheese until nice and gooey, the pour into a casserole dish.

Top with crushed tortilla chips or hard taco shells (just enough to create a thin layer over the top fully covering the pasta). Spray with oil, then pop in the oven for 20mins, or until the top goes nice and golden. Be vigilant, top goes golden to burnt quickly.

Top with your favourite taco toppings (suggestions in ingredients list) and enjoy!

Spaghetti Casserole is an easy dinner recipe that comes together with a handful of pantry staples for a quick weeknight meal.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray and set aside (I used an 11 x 7-inch dish, but a deep 8- or 9-inch square dish will also work).

Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water, just until cooked through but still firm to the bite (about 7-8 minutes). Drain.

Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink (about 6-8 minutes); drain. Stir in the spaghetti sauce, salt and pepper. Turn heat to low, and add cream cheese, sour cream and green onions; stir just until cream cheese is melted (about 2-3 minutes). Remove from heat, add the cooked pasta, and toss to combine.

Transfer to prepared baking dish. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over top. Cover and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover; bake for 5 more minutes, or until casserole is bubbly.

Simple Beef Pasta Skillet

oz box of pasta shells*

baby spinach

tomatoes

garlic cloves, minced (or about 1 tsp garlic powder)

½ tsp crushed red pepper

½ tsp cracked pepper

½ tsp salt, more or less to taste

¾ c reserved pasta water

heavy cream (optional)

Cook pasta according to pasta directions for al dente. When draining, reserve about 3/4 cup of the past water for later. Toss pasta with about 1 tablespoon olive oil and set aside.

While pasta is cooking, in a large skillet, heat one tablespoon olive oil over medium-high heat. When glistening, add onion and cook 1-2 minutes. Add in ground beef and brown, stirring regularly. (about 7-9 minutes) Drain any excess oil.&nbsp;

When beef is cooked, add in spinach, tomatoes, broth, tomato paste, garlic, seasonings, salt and pepper. Cook until spinach is wilted and ingredients are combined. Turn heat to medium low and add in 1/2 cup reserved pasta water, heavy cream and parmesan. Stir to combine and simmer for several minutes to allow to thicken and for parmesan to completely melt into the sauce.

Add in pasta and toss to combine.

Top with fresh parmesan, chopped basil and/or chopped parsley and serve.

This is amazing. I didn’t want to run to the store so I found this recipe by Google. I didn’t have the beef broth, but I had chicken. It turned out so good! I didn’t have spinach either. I LOVE this even if I didn’t have the right ingredients. I will try her other recipes. I 100% book marked this!

This has become a favourite @ my house. my 7 year old step-daughter lists it as her favourite meal. it's quick and delicious. we've made it once a month for at least 3 years now.

Great flavor and easy to make. I used Beef Broth instead of the pasta water and for the diced tomatoes I used Del Monte Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic and Oregano for extra flavor. I like that this dish is not too heavy. Will definitely make again.

Followed the recipe exactly and came out very bland, needs a lot more seasoning.

tsp Dried Oregano

tsp Black Pepper

- 1/2 tsp Chilli Flakes

tsp Dried Thyme

/ 1lb Minced/Ground Beef ((12% works great))

tbsp Tomato Puree ((Tomato Paste in US))

/ 2 cups Tomato Passata

Worcestershire Sauce

Fresh Parsley, (to serve (optional))

Olive Oil, (as needed)

Add a drizzle of oil to a large pot over medium heat and fry the onion until it begins to soften and turn golden. Add the garlic and fry for a minute longer, then add in the beef. Break it up with your wooden spoon until browned.

Stir in the seasoning mix, then stir in the tomato puree and fry for a minute or so. Stir in the stock, passata (swill out with a splash of water), cream and Worcestershire sauce, then stir in the uncooked pasta.

Bring to a boil and cook until the sauce has thickened and the pasta is al dente, stirring fairly frequently. If the sauce reduces and thickens up before the pasta is cooked through, just add in a splash of hot water as needed to cook the pasta through.

Check for seasoning and adjust with salt, pepper and chilli flakes, then serve up with fresh parsley and enjoy!

Was actually incredible. Easy prep for a great recipe.

This is now a go-to quick meal for us. I added 2 rashers of diced bacon with the onion (leaving out the oil). I am a teacher and am going to make it with the students as a good easy meal to add to their  bank of recipies.
