GROUND BEEF STROGANOFF

beef

yellow onion, (diced)

garlic, (minced (about 1-2 cloves))

tbsp butter

tbsp flour

beef broth

sour cream

cream of mushroom soup

salt and pepper, (to taste)

egg noodles, (cooked according to package directions)

Bring a pot of water to boil and begin to cook egg noodles according to package directions.

In a large skillet over medium high heat, brown ground beef along with the onions and garlic until thoroughly cooked.

Drain ground beef to remove excess grease from pan. Put pan back on stove over medium heat (don&#039;t add the ground beef back in yet.)

Add butter to the pan and allow it to melt. Then add flour to pan, whisk and let it absorb butter.

Add beef broth and whisk vigorously to remove any lumps, turning the heat up to high, bringing it to a boil for 2-3 minutes until you see it thicken slightly.

Bring temperature down to medium and whisk in sour cream and cream of mushroom soup. Stir until mixture is thoroughly incorporated.

Add salt &amp; pepper. Keep tasting mixture until it is seasoned the way you like. If it gets too thick, just add a tad more beef broth.

Add ground beef back to mixture until reheated. Serve over egg noodles.

Easy Beef Stroganoff is packed with flavor and so delicious. It’ll be the best homemade beef stroganoff recipe you ever make and the whole family will love it.

Homemade Easy Beef Stroganoff

butter

beef (this can be any type you choose (see note))

onion (chopped)

white mushrooms (sliced)

garlic (minced)

sage

flour

Worcestershire sauce

soy sauce

heavy whipping cream

salt and pepper (to taste)

In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon butter.

Brown beef, remove from skillet and set aside. If there is a lot of excess grease, remove it.

Add the rest of the butter.

Sauté onions and mushrooms until soft and starting to turn golden, about 3-4 minutes.

Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Add sage and flour and stir until flour is cooked a bit, about 2 minutes.

Add beef broth, stirring constantly.

Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and the beef along with any accumulated juices.

Simmer on low heat until thickened, flavors have melded, and beef is cooked through, about 10 minutes. Be sure it's not burning or sticking on the bottom by stirring occasionally.

Off heat, stir in cream and sour cream until combined.

Serve over egg noodles or rice.

Very good recipe. But at the end meat needs more cooking. So I let it simmer for 30 min adding a little of water to it every 10 min to make sure all the sauce does not dry up. It turned out great! Also make the noodles close to the end, so it is fresh.

Where in the directions do you put the beef and mushrooms back in?  Before or after simmering?

I made this for myself & family for Mother's Day. It was very tender and flavorful.

This is  very similar to my recipe only in that I flour the sirloin strips, then brown in 1 TLB peanut oil & set aside.  I also, do not use tomato paste, mustard nor worcestershire and I simmer the meat for at least an hour after adding the beef broth to the onions & garlic halves; and it is still very, very good.  I also end it with a flour-slurry (rather than cornstarch) and (off stove:) light sour cream. Must have toasted garlic bread to sop up the yummy gravy.

This recipe is just terrible. I followed the instructions and the sauce would not thicken and was really "cornstarchy."I used top sirloin and only cooked it for half the time that was suggested and it turned out very tough. My son started eating it and then got up from the table and asked "Whose idea was this?" Never again.

Did not enjoy the flavor of this recipe, doesn't taste like any other beef stroganoff I've ever had. First Delish recipe I won't be saving.

Cook you Chuck all day in slow cooker. Much better results.

Preheat a heavy, deep pan over medium-high heat with olive oil. Add ground beef and stir to break down beef into tiny pieces. Add onions and pressed garlic. Saute until the onion is translucent and golden brown. 

Add sliced mushrooms and saute for another 5 minutes.

Add flour and stir until fully incorporated. Be sure to mix in any lumps that form.

Add 1 cup beef broth, 1 cup whipping cream, 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper and bring it to a simmer. Turn the heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes. 

Remove from the heat and add in sour cream. Stir to combine everything together and season to taste if needed. Serve over noodles, rice or potatoes.

This easy 30-minute Ground Beef Stroganoff recipe omits the cream of mushroom soup and uses ground beef for the best beef stroganoff and an awesome comfort food dinner!

Prepare the wide egg&nbsp;noodles per package instructions.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until it is no longer pink.

Add the onions and mushrooms to the ground beef and cook about 5 minutes until onions are soft.

Then add the garlic and stir for about a minute.

Add salt, pepper, and, if you like, crushed red pepper and stir.

Drizzle a tablespoon of Worcestershire over the ground beef, onions, garlic, and mushrooms.

Add the flour and stir.

Pour in the sherry, beef broth and rest of the Worcestershire and let it simmer.

Cook for 5 minutes or so to let it thicken. Add the Dijon Mustard.

Remove from heat and add the sour cream.&nbsp;Stir so that the sour cream is evenly distributed.

Serve over cooked wide egg noodles. Enjoy!

This easy Ground Beef Stroganoff recipe is a great, weeknight dinner option that the whole family will love. It&#039;s classic comfort food cooking that is ready in less than 30 minutes, made from scratch, and always hearty, satisfying, and delicious!

Ground Beef Stroganoff Recipe

garlic (finely minced)

cream cheese, (cubed)

Tablespoons all-purpose flour

Salt & Pepper (to taste)

Add the ground beef, onion, and minced garlic to a large skillet set over medium-high heat on the stove and season with the salt and pepper.  Cook, stirring occasionally, until the meat is almost browned but still slightly pink and the onions have begun to soften, about 5 minutes.  Drain any excess grease from the pan.

Add the sliced mushrooms to the ground beef and onions and continue cooking for another 5 minutes or so, until the mushrooms are softened and brown and the meat is fully cooked.

Add the cream cheese to the cooked meat and mushrooms and let it sit for 1-2 minutes to melt somewhat before stirring it into the meat mixture.  While the cream cheese melts, combine the beef broth and milk in a separate bowl and whisk in the flour until no lumps remain.

After stirring in the melted cream cheese, pour the beef broth/milk/flour slurry into the pan with the meat and mushrooms and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened and bubbling.

Remove from the heat and stir in the sour cream.  Season with additional salt and pepper, to taste.

Serve over hot buttered egg noodles, sprinkled with freshly chopped parsley, if desired.
