Honey Orange Glazed Ham Recipe

brown sugar

Preheat

Place

Place ham in a shallow roasting pan or baking dish.

Combine

In a saucepan over medium heat combine the brown sugar, honey and orange marmalade.

Stir

Simmer

Continue to stirring over medium heat until the mixture comes to a bubble.  Let simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Spoon

Bake

Spoon the remaining glaze over the ham and bake another 15-30 minutes longer or until a thermometer reads 140° and ham is heated through. (an 8 lb. ham might take a bit longer so be sure to check internal temperature)

Serve

Honey Glazed Ham made in the slow cooker! Boneless, spiral sliced ham cooks in an easy 4 ingredients honey glaze. So flavorful and really simple to make.

Slow Cooker Honey Glazed Ham

Spray the insert of the slow cooker with cooking spray. Unwrap the ham and place it flat side down into the slow cooker. 

In a saucepan, over medium-high heat, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, and water. Heat and stir until the sugar is dissolved. About 1-2 minutes. Pour the glaze over the ham. 

Cover with the lid and cook on LOW heat for 5-6 hours.&nbsp;* 3-4 times during the cook time, take a baster or a large spoon, and pour some of the glaze over top of the ham.&nbsp;

Take the ham out and place onto a serving plate. At the end of the cook time the slices of ham should be noticeable so take a knife and finish cutting the slices. Use the glaze from the slow cooker and pour some over the ham slices. Serve!

Pour the liquid from the slow cooker into a sauce pan. Set the heat to medium-high. Mix together the cornstarch + water and pour into the saucepan. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until it boils. Reduce heat and let simmer until desired thickness is reached. *As it sits off the heat it will thicken up more** If wanted, use a fine mesh strainer to strain the liquid before pouring it into the saucepan. This would make the gravy smooth with no fat chunks or anything it it. I prefer to do it this way.

Honey Glazed Ham

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a baking pan with cooking spray.

Add the butter, brown sugar, honey, mustard, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and allspice to a pan. Place the pan over medium heat.

Bring the pan to a simmer and cook for 3-5 minutes or until glaze is syrupy.

Place the ham in the pan and pour half of the glaze over it. Cover the ham tightly with foil. Reserve the other half of the glaze for later use.

Bake the ham for 2 hours. Uncover the ham.

Pour the remaining half of the glaze over the ham. If the glaze has started to harden, you can microwave it for 30 seconds to loosen it back up.

Increase the oven temperature to 400 degrees F.

Place the ham, uncovered, in the oven. Bake for another 15-20 minutes or until glaze is caramelized and browned.

Transfer the ham to a serving platter and garnish with fresh herbs and fruit. Spoon pan drippings over the ham. Slice the ham, then serve immediately.

Smoked Ham and Brown Sugar Glaze

Preheat smoker to 250 degrees Fahrenheit using a fruit wood, like apple or cherry.

Pat dry the ham and place a Bluetooth Thermometer probe, like the Thermoworks Smoke Unit, into the center of the ham but not touching the bone. Place ham on the smoker flat side of the ham down.

Smoke ham for 2 hours, or until the internal temperature of the ham reaches 130 degrees F. Apply one round of the glaze to the ham with a silicone brush. Continue smoking an additional 30 minutes or until the ham reaches 140 degrees F and then remove.

Glaze the ham a second time and loosely tent with foil. Let rest 30 minutes prior to slicing. After 30 minutes slice the ham and serve.

How to Smoke Ham

In a medium size saucepan over medium heat add butter and let melt. Add shallots and sauté to soften but not caramelize (about 6 - 8 minutes). Add garlic and sauté for additional 1 minute just to soften.

Add sugar, cider, honey, Dijon, cayenne, and salt to pan, slightly increase heat and bring to a simmer. Allow glaze to simmer for up to 10 minutes, taking care to not boil. The glaze will thicken as the sugar and liquids incorporate and slightly reduce.

Can be made while ham is close to done.

Honey Baked Ham Recipe

Let the ham sit at room temp for 1-2 hours before baking. Preheat oven to 275 degrees F. Place the oven rack on the lowest level -- so that the center of the ham will be level with the center of the oven while baking, ensuring even cooking/reheating.

Add 1 cup water to the roasting pan.  Remove disc from the ham. Place ham face down so that all the juices can baste the ham all over. If you have a rack, place the ham on  it, but if you don&#x27;t, skip this step. Tent ham with foil to secure moisture.

Taste and gradually add in brown sugar to desired sweetness. Sweetness Tips: You&#39;ll want the sauce to be quite sweet to balance the salty smoky ham flavor. For reference, we added roughly ¼ cup (50g) brown sugar. Mix 2.5 tbsp (22.5g) cornstarch with 3 tbsp (45ml) cold water in a small mixing bowl. Honey Mustard Glazed Ham

(2.5 kg) cooked bone-in ham (shank

(60 ml) frenchs worcestershire sauce (frenchs/pr)

Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Score ham and stud with cloves.  Place ham on rack in roasting pan.

Bake 1-1/2 to 2-1/4 hours or until internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C).

Combine mustard, Worcestershire and sugar in small saucepan. Heat just to a boil, stirring until sugar melts.

Baste ham with glaze frequently during last 30 minutes of baking. Serve additional glaze or honey mustard on the side.

For Marmalade Glazed Ham: Combine 3/4 cup (175 mL) orange marmalade, 1/3 cup (75 mL) FRENCH'S® Honey Mustard and 2 tablespoons (30 mL) orange juice in saucepan. Stir and heat until melted and smooth.

Test Kitchen Tips:•Remove ham from the fridge 30 minutes before cooking so that it can reach room temperature. This will help the ham cook more evenly.•To check the temperature of your honey glazed ham, insert your thermometer into the thickest part of the ham without touching the bone. •Do not check temperature of the ham until it has been in the oven for 90 minutes. Check temperature sparingly to prevent the ham from drying out.•If ham is drying out in the oven, add 1 inch of water to the bottom of the roasting pan. Repeat if necessary.•Leftover honey glazed ham can be frozen for up to 2 weeks in a freezer-safe container. Reheat before serving, making sure temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Honey Baked Ham

Thaw

Thaw the ham. If the ham is frozen, allow it to thaw in the fridge for 1 to 2 days. Then, remove the ham from the fridge and let it rest on the counter for 2 hours before cooking, to come to room temperature.

Pour

Prep the roasting pan. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Adjust oven rack to lowest position. Pour 2 cups of water into bottom of roasting pan.

Mix the honey glaze. In a medium bowl, stir together the sugar, honey, orange juice, mustard, and spices.

Brush

Brush on the glaze and bake the ham. Place the ham on the baking tray, brush ¼ of the honey glaze on top, then cover the ham with aluminum foil and bake for 10 to 12 minutes per pound (for a 9 pound ham, that&#39;s about 1 ½ hours). During this 1 ½ hours you&#39;ll re-glaze every 30 minutes.

Caramelize

Caramelize the glaze. After 1 ½ hours, increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C), discard the aluminum foil, and brush the remaining ¼ of the glaze all over the ham. Return the ham to the oven and bake uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes, until shiny, glazed, and slightly caramelized.

Slice

Slice the ham. Let the ham rest for a few minutes before serving, then slice it up by removing the spiral slices from the flat, wider end first.

Last year I made this delicious ham for my church and they all loved the honey glazed ham. This is the best ham I have made in my life even though I am 12 years old, my mother only helped me by putting it in the oven and taking it out every 30 minute.

Wonderful recipe. Even my picky eaters came back for seconds. I was a bit worried about drying it out because the foil needs to be removed to baste it. But with a bone-in ham, that's not going to happen. The caramelizing at the end made it look so good too. My guests were impressed. Thank you!!

It was so good! The ham became so tender! My whole family loved it! I forgot the sugar by mistake, so the sauce was more on the liquid side but the sweetness level was perfect. So when I make it again, I would put less sugar than the recipe ask for.
