Horseradish Sauce Recipe

In a small mixing bowl, stir all of the ingredients together. Serve right away or cover and refrigerate for about 2 weeks.

Melt 2 tablespoons unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour and whisk until smooth and lightly golden in color, 1 to 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in 1 cup whole milk, about 1/4 cup at a time. Add 1/4 cup half-and-half, and whisking constantly, bring to a gentle boil. Cook and stir until thickened to sour cream-like consistency, about 2 minutes.

Remove from the heat. Add1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg, and stir to combine. Add 3 tablespoons prepared horseradish and 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir to combine. Taste and season with more horseradish if needed. 

Let cool completely. Store in an airtight container until ready to serve. To serve, top with 1 tablespoon chopped chives, if desired.

Easy Creamy Horseradish Sauce Recipe

Smoky Oven Baked Salmon with Horseradish Sauce - An easy, delicious dish that&#039;s loaded with incredibly smoky, zesty, and salty flavors! This baked salmon with homemade horseradish sauce only requires 10 ingredients, and can be served warm for dinner or cold as an appetizer.

Smoky Oven Baked Salmon with Horseradish Sauce

salmon

brown sugar

liquid smoke

sour cream ((could be low-fat))

shallots

Dijon mustard

capers, (drained)

parsley

salt (and pepper)

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and lay the whole salmon fillet on it, skin side down. Sprinkle the top with brown sugar, then drizzle the liquid smoke over the top. Rub to coat the entire fillet. Sprinkle generously with salt and pepper. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until just barely cooked through. (You do not want to over cook your salmon fillet.)

Meanwhile, shave the shallot with a large grater. In a mixing bowl, mix the sour cream, milk, shallot, mustard, and horseradish. Salt and pepper to taste and set aside.

Once the salmon is out of the oven, allow it to cool for at least 5 minutes. Then carefully move it to a platter using two spatulas. Pour the horseradish sauce over the top and garnish with chopped parsley and capers.

Prime Rib with a Horseradish Sauce

2.5 lb Rib Roast

Mayonnaise

Lane's Scorpion Rub

Lane's Original Smoked Salt

Sour Cream

Horseradish

Worcestershire Sauce

Garlic

Let your Rib Roast sit out for 30 to 45 minutes. Bring your Grill up to 250 degrees

Light coat of mayonnaise on the rib roast as a binder and then season well with Lane&#39;s Scorpion Rub.

Grill indirect at 250 for an hour to an hour and a half until the internal temperature is around 120. Remember always cook to internal temperature so it might take more or less time. We used Cherry wood chunks for smoke.&amp;nbsp;You can always do this same method in the oven and then sear using a cast iron on the stovetop (see next directions)

Once the rib roast has reached the internal temperature pull and let it sit for 15 minutes with a couple small cubes of butter on top. While it is resting bring your grill up to around 500 degrees. Sear for about 2 minutes per side.&amp;nbsp;Let rest 10 to 15 minutes -&amp;nbsp; Slice, sprinkle with Lane&#39;s Original Smoked Salt, Drizzle with horseradish sauce, and enjoy.&amp;nbsp;

Roast garlic bulb - peel and discard outer papery layer. Slice about 1/2 inch off the top of the cloves. Drizzle cut layer with olive oil and loosely wrap with aluminum foil and roast in oven for 20 or so minutes at 400. let cool and dice 2-3 cloves**Alternately you can just very finely dice up 2-3 of garlic cloves.

In a small bowl mix Worcestershire sauce, 2-3 cloves roasted garlic, sour cream, 1 teaspoon Scorpion Rub, and prepared horseradish. Set aside or place in the fridge. (if you want to kick up the heat add more horseradish and Scorpion rub) This should be nice and thick - NOT soupy.&amp;nbsp;

For the beef, mix the garlic, thyme and olive oil with some black pepper. Rub over the beef and leave for at least 1 hr, the longer the better. Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6, season the beef with salt and place in a roasting tin. Roast in the oven for 30 mins, then turn the heat down to 180C/160C fan/gas 4 and cook for 10-15 mins per 450g depending on how you like your meat – 10 mins per 450g will give you rare meat and 15 mins will give you meat that is cooked through.

When the beef is cooked, take it out of the roasting tin and allow it to rest somewhere warm, loosely wrapped in foil, for 30 mins. Pour off and reserve any resting juices.

To make the gravy, place the roasting tin on a high heat with the garlic, bay and thyme. Splash in the Port, scrape with a wooden spoon to loosen any debris from the tin and bubble until almost completely reduced. Pour in the red wine and reduce by three-quarters before adding the stock. Bring to the boil and season to taste. Pour reserved resting juices back into the tin. Finally, pour the gravy through a sieve into a warm jug. Carve the meat and serve with the gravy.
