Place the honey and hot sauce in a microwave-safe container and microwave for 30 seconds, then stir. (Alternatively, heat the mixture for a few minutes over low heat on the stovetop until combined.) Serve warm. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

Hot Honey Recipe

Add ingredients

Add the honey and chili flakes to a small pot or pan over medium heat.

Warm gently

Gently heat the honey until you see small bubbles forming along the edges of the pan then remove the pan from the heat.

Infuse

Let the honey infuse for 5 minutes. If you&#39;re using the hot sauce or vinegar, stir it into the honey now.

Strain

Optional step: strain the honey through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean glass jar.

Hot Honey Recipe (two varieties!)

Add honey, red pepper flakes, and apple cider vinegar to a small saucepan.

Over medium low heat, bring to a simmer and remove from heat. If time allows, let set for 30-45 minutes before using.

If desired, strain out red pepper flakes for a more mild flavor. Leave them in for a spicier honey.

Hot Honey #1

For a quicker hot honey, combine ½ cup honey with 1 tablespoon hot sauce, such as Frank’s Hot Sauce.

Microwave for 20-30 seconds and stir to combine. Add more hot sauce if desired.

Whipped feta dip with spicy honey

200 g/7 oz feta

100 g/3.5 oz full fat ricotta

g/1.5 oz full fat sour cream

salt + black pepper (to taste)

tsp black & white sesame seeds (for topping)

Feta, ricotta and sour cream should be at room temperature.

Add feta, ricotta and sour cream to a food processor. Season with salt and pepper. Blend on high until smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Taste, add salt and pepper.

In a saucepan, heat olive oil over low. Add garlic, sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Turn off the heat. Stir in honey, lemon juice and chili flakes. Season with salt and pepper.

Serve the whipped feta drizzled with spicy honey. Top with chives, za’atar, sesame seeds, some extra freshly ground black pepper and chili flakes.

Enjoy with pita chips, naan or on a veggie platter.

Leftovers can be used as a spread or a dressing.

Let the honey mixture rest in the pot to infuse the flavors for 20 minutes. For spicer honey, you can infuse it for longer.

Strain the honey through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean container.

Stir in the apple cider vinegar to cut the sweetness if you prefer.

Drizzle hot honey on corn bread, fried chicken, pizza, or anything you desire to have a sweet and spicy kick!

Spicy Honey

Place the honey, pepper flakes, vinegar and salt in a small saucepan and heat on low for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sauce shouldn&#39;t even come to a simmer.

Crispy chicken breasts topped with creamy feta then drenched in hot honey - this dinner is truly irresistible!

Crispy Hot Honey Feta Chicken

Honey

tsp Hot Sauce ((I

tsp Chilli Flakes

Chicken Breasts

Paprika

Salt

tsp EACH: Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Dried Oregano, Black Pepper

tsp Cayenne Pepper

/ 1/4 cup Plain Flour

Eggs, (beaten)

/ 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs

Veg Oil, (as needed (6-8 tbsp))

/ 7 ounces Feta, (crumbled)

Combine the honey, hot sauce and chilli flakes in a bowl and warm in the microwave (20 seconds or so). Stir then leave to cool. You can also do this on the stove in a small pot (just bring to a simmer then remove and cool). You can easily adjust the heat with chilli flakes/hot sauce if desired.

Horizontally slice the chicken breasts right through the centre to create 4 even-sized breasts. In a small pot or bowl combine the paprika, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, cayenne and black pepper.

Line up 3 large shallow dishes and place a large tray at the end. The first bowl is flour + half of the seasoning mix, the second is beaten egg and the 3rd is the Panko with the rest of the seasoning. One by one take the chicken and dredge through the flour, into the egg, then the breadcrumbs and finish by placing on the tray. Make sure you thoroughly coat the chicken at each stage (namely the breadcrumbs).

Add enough oil to coat the base of a large pan and place it over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot enough that a breadcrumb rapidly sizzles, carefully place in the chicken (if you can&#39;t fit 4 pieces then work in 2 batches, top up the oil in between if needed). Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side or until deep golden and crispy on the outside and white/piping hot through the centre. Place on a wire rack above the tray.

Add the crumbled feta, covering as much of the chicken as possible, then place under the grill on high until it starts turning golden (it should be buttery soft and a little crisp on top).

Serve with your preferred amount of hot honey drizzled over and enjoy (tightly store leftover honey in the fridge).

Made this tonight for my husband and I and we both loved it! Pretty simple and wonderful flavor. The only change I made was using store bought hot honey that we already had. I served with arugula salad and air fried potatoes. Definitely a keeper!

Simple and tasty but I could not get the feta to melt at all. You said put it under the grill did you mean broiler?  This is what I did but my feta didn’t melt or soften. All fell off the chicken. Maybe it was the feta I used ‍♀️

This was absolutely to die for! I keep thinking about the flavors and how I might use this in other recipes. It’s that good!

This was a winning recipe! It was absolutely delicious. Rave reviews as well from guests. The only thing I struggled with is the honey mixture was quite runny and so made the dip a bit soupy. Is there a fix for this? I followed the recipe exactly so I’m not sure what I did wrong.

Have made this dip before but this time after putting into serving dish, and spooning honey mixture, dip turned into a watery mess that would not even grab onto pita chips.  It was like I poured water into the dish.  Have no idea what could have cause this.  Has this happened to anyone else?  Please email me if it has or if you have any suggestions - love this dip!!

I made this and the taste was amazing. But the dip was very “liquidy.”  Then it did not look appealing. I wonder why?  Was it the consistency of the honey or any other ideas?  I do want to make it again with the correction. Thanks
