The first time I made this I followed the instructions and measurements to a T. My family loved it but it was a bit salty. So the next time I made it I modified it. I used one  8 oz package of cream  cheese and left out the kosher salt and it was perfect.  My husband actually requests this meal all the time!

Wasn't bad. But I wouldn't make it again. Texture was a little too mushy. Reminded me of slop. Less Dil would have been better too.

Made it. Ate it. didn't love it. Expected so much more flavor.

What does everyone typically serve this with?  And do you eat it like soup out of a bowl or what?

Word from the wise: Always shred chicken w/ hand 10000% easier.

I made this with kale. OMG, this will be a regular part of my diet.

Don't know what I did wrong, but all I ended up with is a crock pot full of mush.
No flavour and way too much cream cheese. I would recommend only using one block of cream cheese, maybe even less. It took over the dish and neutralized all the other spices. Wife threw hers out.

Keto Instant Pot Crack Chicken Recipe

Turn pressure cooker on, press “Sauté”, and wait 2 minutes for the pot to heat up. Add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy. Transfer to a plate and set aside. Press “Cancel” to stop sautéing. (See Note.)

Add the chicken, cream cheese, water, vinegar, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes, dill, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Turn the pot on Manual, High Pressure for 15 minutes and then do a quick release.

Use tongs to transfer the chicken to a large plate, shred it with 2 forks, and return it back to the pot.

Stir in the cheddar cheese.

Top with the crispy bacon and scallion, and serve.

Easy Crack Chicken Recipe - Instant Post or Slow Cooker - Keto Low-Carb

Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts (about 2 pounds)

tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Chop the bacon into small pieces. Set the instant pot to the saute mode. Add the bacon and cook until it starts to brown. Transfer the bacon to a plate, drain the fat and scrape any brown bits from the bottom of the pot. Press "Cancel" to stop the Saute Mode.

Add the chicken breast, cream cheese, chicken broth, and all the ranch seasoning ingredients into the pot. Close the lid and pressure cook at High Pressure for 15 minutes, then 10 minutes Natural Release. Turn off the heat and release the remaining pressure. Open the lid.

Transfer the chicken to a large bowl. Use two forks to shred the chicken. Return the chicken to the pot.

Stir in the cheddar cheese and a third of the bacon pieces. Combine until the cheese is melted.

Serve with keto buns, topped with extra bacon bits, cheese, and green onions.

This will stay good in the fridge for quite a few days and reheats well. I haven't frozen any yet, but I am confident it will freeze well, although I can't imagine most people will have any leftovers to freeze!

Cheesy Ranch chicken, also known as Crack Chicken, is a low-carb slow cooker recipe with 5 ingredients! Easily made into a dip or dinner, depending on how you serve it, this ultra-creamy combo of chicken, cheese, and bacon is sure to please!

Slow Cooker Crack Chicken (Cheesy Ranch Chicken)

chicken thigh (or breast)

bacon (cooked and crumbled)

Add chicken to slow cooker and cover with seasoning. Top with cream cheese. Use the back of a spoon to smear the cream cheese over the meat.

Cook

Cover the slow cooker with a lid. Cook on LOW for 6-8 hours or HIGH 3-4 hours.

Shred

Once cooking time finishes, shred the chicken by using two forks and pulling the meat apart. Remove bones if needed. Stir well and thoroughly coat the chicken with sauce.

Fry bacon in a pan over medium heat on the stove. Remove and chop or crumble into small pieces. Cover the chicken with bacon and shredded cheese. Put the lid back on and continue cooking on HIGH for 15 minutes until cheese melts.

Serve

Remove from heat. Mix bacon and cheese into the chicken or serve as is with them resting on top. Garnish with a tablespoon or two of fresh parsley if desired!

Why not start your bacon as the first step to preparing this.  Then when the bacon is crisp set aside until the end?

Absolutely delicious and so easy to make. Our two visiting grandchildren loved it!  So much so that the 11-year old requested the recipe so she can make it for her siblings that didn’t come. We will definitely add this to our quick and easy go to recipes. This is a winner!

There was not enough sauce or cheese when I made it. It still was a big hit. I can make the adjustments next time.

Loved the recipe, but was wondering if the bacon can be put in the pot before you cook it. Would rather come home and top the meal with cheese than have to cook up the bacon.
