Lightly coat your waffle maker with cooking spray or ghee and let it heat up on high.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, almond flour, garlic powder and baking powder. Stir in cheese until combined.

IF USING A BELGIAN WAFFLE MAKER: Pour half of the waffle batter into the middle of your waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until crispy, flip and cook again as necessary.IF USING A DASH MINI WAFFLE MAKER: Pour 1/4 cup of the waffle batter into the middle of your waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until crispy, flip and cook again as necessary. Repeat with remaining batter

eggs - medium (separated)

tbsp coconut flour

tsp baking powder

vanilla

tbsp full fat milk (or cream)

Whisk

Whisk the egg whites until firm and form stiff peaks.

First bowl.

Mix the egg yolks, coconut flour, sweetener, and baking powder.

Mix again

Add the melted butter slowly, mixing to ensure it is a smooth consistency.

Stir

Fold

Gently fold spoons of the whisked egg whites into the yolk mixture. Try to keep as much of the air and fluffiness as possible.

Cook

Place enough of the waffle mixture into the warm waffle maker to make one waffle. Cook until golden.

Serve

Repeat until all the mixture has been used.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, egg whites, almond milk, oil, and vanilla until well combined.

Add the almond flour, sweetener, protein powder, baking powder, and salt and and whisk until smooth. Let the batter rest 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, preheat the waffle iron and grease it lightly. For mini waffles, add about 1/4 cup of the batter to each section. For classic round waffles, you will need more like 1/3 cup.

Close the lid and let cook until puffed and golden brown on both sides. The time will vary depending on your waffle iron. They will crisp up more as they cool.

To crisp them up even further, you can place them in a warm (200ºF) oven for 10 minutes on a wire baking rack.

I enjoy these waffles dried out as a crispy snack and of course they taste very special hot off the waffle grill with whipped cream and berries.

I made them exactly as per recipe, AND put them in the oven.  I've tried every gluten-free recipe there is, and they are not crispy, to include these, unfortunately.  They do taste good, but man o man, I sure miss crispy waffles!

We tried these waffles last weekend and all I have to say is YUM!! Waffles are one of my favorite breakfast foods but the keto recipes I tried before left me feeling unsatisfied, not these! They were crispy, delicious, and filling! We made a double batch and froze them so we can have some on hand for quick breakfasts. These will be a breakfast staple in our house for sure. This worked very well as a waffle. crispy outside and fluffy inside. The next day I very much enjoyed it as an open-faced melted sharp cheddar cheese sandwich with Everything Bagel seasoning on top.

By far - the BEST Waffles I have ever had. I whipped my egg whites and folded them into my batter, used melted butter instead of avocado oil, vanilla whey protein powder and Swerve Brown Sugar instead of the granular. OMG. Coconut Oil

Heavy Cream (or Unsweetened Almond Milk)

Vanilla Extract (skip for savory waffles, replace with 1/4 teaspoon salt)

In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, heavy cream, melted coconut oil (make sure it&#39;s not burning hot, or it will cook the eggs!), and vanilla extract.

Whisk in almond flour, erythritol, and baking powder until the batter is smooth. Let the batter rest for 10 minutes to thicken.

Preheat a waffle maker for at least 5 minutes or until the green light of your waffle iron tells you it is ready to be used.

Slightly oil the surface of the irons with a pastry brush and coconut oil or avocado oil. Don&#39;t overoil the iron!

Pour 4 tablespoons of batter per waffle.

Bake for about 3-4 minutes in the waffle iron. Play with time from 2 minutes 30 to 4 minutes to reach your favorite texture. The longer you bake them, the dryer they will be. Release the waffle from the waffle maker using a fork, transfer on a cooling rack and cool down for 2-3 minutes before serving.

Serve with sugar-free maple-flavored syrup and butter.

Store in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container. Rewarm in an iron waffle maker or bread toaster.

You can freeze the cooked waffles in zip-lock bags and defrost them the day before. Rewarm either in an iron waffle maker or bread toaster.
