Sauce

Shake all the sauce ingredients together in a jar.

Noodles

Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

Add more sauce if needed (I usually gauge the amount of sauce I want by the color of the noodles &#8211; you want a medium brown color, not too light, not too dark). Serve topped with remaining green onions!

Thank you Lindsay for that nice recipe. I had no different soy sauces so I took the one I have at home, I also exchanged sugar for vegan honey (synthetic produced without bees). I also added a few more veggies because in our household we love veggies.  This is a keeper and will be made very soon again

Just made this with ricewine vinegar and agave nectar with rice ramen and its delicious! Also I didn't have the dark sky but will purchase this next time.

Hi! I just made this Lo Mein recipe, using some rotisserie chicken for a quicker weeknight meal. Also, since i luuuuv the spicy sesame dressing from your Korean BBQ bowls, I added grated ginger, garlic and Sambal oelek to the sauce. Yum.

This was good. I used soba noodles. I used 3 T. of dark low-sodium soy sauce b/c I didn't have any light. I also didn't have any mirin, so I used 2 T. of marsala wine with 1 T. of sugar. I also added cubed tofu. It took a few minutes more than 15 but not double that amount or anything like that.

I meant to say 2 T. of marsala wine with 1 t. of sugar as per Cooking Light's Web site in place of the mirin. Mea culpa!

Back Pocket Stir Fry with Noodles

brown rice noodles

14 oz package tofu

olive oil

chopped vegetables (I used

garlic

peanuts, cilantro, and lime

soy sauce

water

white vinegar,

chili paste,

SAUCE

Shake all sauce ingredients together until smooth.

NOODLES

Soak rice noodles in a bowl of warm water.

TOFU

Press tofu with paper towels to remove water. Cut tofu into cubes. In a nonstick skillet over medium high heat, fry tofu with a little olive oil until golden brown. Add a little sauce to get a nice browned crust. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.

VEGGIES

In the same pan, add veggies and garlic and another swish of oil. Stir fry over medium high heat until tender-crisp.

ASSEMBLE: 

Drain the noodles. Add them to the pan with the veggies. Add about half the sauce and stir-fry until thoroughly mixed. Add tofu. Top with peanuts, cilantro, and lime.

I love stir fry because it's fast, forgiving and lets me decorate my food with lots of garnishes, I loves me some garnishes:)  My stir frys come out so colorful too.  Definitely saving this for later.

I LOVE stir fry! I use a sauce like this often but I love your addition of the chili paste. We usually go for rice so I really enjoyed using noodles. We used pork we had in the house and I'm going back for seconds

These stir fry noodles are loaded with chicken and colorful vegetables with a savory sauce. A remake of the take out favorite that tastes even better than what you&#x27;d get at a restaurant!

Stir Fry Noodles

vegetable oil

chicken breasts

egg noodles (pre-cooked)

shiitake mushrooms (thinly sliced, stems removed)

carrots

celery

red bell pepper (thinly sliced)

garlic (minced)

ginger (minced)

chicken broth

hoisin sauce

cornstarch

onion

salt and pepper

Preheat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium high heat. 

Add the chicken and season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown.&nbsp;

Remove the chicken from the pan. Add the mushrooms, carrots, celery and red bell pepper to the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes or until just softened. 

Add the garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds.

Add the noodles to the pan, along with the chicken. Toss to combine.

In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil and cornstarch.

Pour the sauce into the pan and bring to a simmer. Cook for 1 minute or until sauce is thickened. Sprinkle with green onions, then serve.

Tofu Noodle Stir-Fry with Spring Vegetables

(14-oz) block extra firm tofu, cut into 3/4-inch cubes

Tbsp tamari

Tbsp toasted sesame oil

tsp red pepper flakes

tahini stir-fry sauce

vermicelli (thin) rice noodles

green onion, thinly sliced

garlic,

vegetables*

chopped cilantro

Sliced green onion

Sesame seeds

Lime wedges

Sriracha ((or other hot sauce))

TOFU: In a small mixing bowl, gently mix together the cubed tofu, tamari, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. We like to cover with a lid and gently shake/toss to coat tofu with sauce. Set aside to briefly marinate.

SAUCE: If using homemade tahini stir-fry sauce or peanut sauce, prepare at this time. Otherwise, skip to the next step.

NOODLES: Place the noodles in a large bowl or pot and cover with just boiling water. Stir and let soak according to the package instructions (or for slightly less time). They should be tender but not mushy as they will continue cooking in the stir-fry. We found 2 minutes to be perfect. Drain, drizzle with a little bit of sesame oil to prevent sticking, and set aside.

STIR-FRY: Heat a large wok or non-stick skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the tofu along with the excess marinade. Sauté for about 8-12 minutes, flipping until each side is browned and the liquid is absorbed. Remove from the pan and set aside.

With the pan/wok still over medium heat, add the sesame oil, green onions, and minced garlic. Sauté for ~1-2 minutes or until tender and fragrant. Add in the broccoli (or other sturdy vegetables such as onion, cauliflower, or green beans) and sauté until bright green and slightly tender but still crunchy (~3-5 minutes). Mix in the rest of the vegetables (carrot ribbons, baby bok choy, cabbage, and snap peas), and cook for 3-5 more minutes or until tender.

Add the cooked noodles, tahini stir-fry sauce or peanut sauce, and cooked tofu into the pan. Sauté for a couple minutes, tossing constantly (tongs can be helpful) until the noodles and tofu are heated through and the sauce and vegetables are evenly dispersed.

FOR SERVING: Optionally, garnish with fresh cilantro, green onion, sesame seeds, lime wedges, and sriracha (or other hot sauce).

Best when fresh. Leftovers will keep covered in a sealed container up to 3-4 days. Reheat in a skillet until warmed. Not freezer friendly.

Spring Noodle Stir-Fry

Sesame seeds (to serve)

soy sauce (gluten-free if needed)

cook rice noodles

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Remove the pot from the heat, add the rice noodles, and let them soak for 1 minute - they will not be fully cooked at this point. Drain the noodles then rinse them under cold running water.

While the water is heating, chop the veggies and make the sauce. Add the cornstarch and a splash of the chicken stock to a 2-cup measuring cup or bowl and mix well. Add the remaining sauce ingredients and stir.

Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat then add the asparagus, broccolini, carrots, radishes, snap peas, and cabbage and stir fry for 2-3 minutes or until the veggies begin to soften. Add the ginger and garlic and cook for 1 minute more and then remove the vegetables from the pan.

Toss the chicken with the cornstarch. Heat the remaining tablespoon of the oil in the pan then add the chicken and cook until it is lightly golden and cooked through, about 5 minutes.

Add the semi-cooked noodles and vegetables to the pan then pour the sauce over the top. Gently toss the noodles using tongs until the sauce thickens, about 2 minutes. Serve the stir fry topped with sesame seeds.

(8 ounces) dried egg noodles

milliliters (2 tbsp) vegetable oil

chicken breasts, thinly sliced

garlic cloves,

milliliters (2 tbsp) dark soy sauce

milliliters (¼ cup) kecap manis

milliliters (¼ cup) oyster sauce

milliliters (1 tsp) sambal oelek

shallot,

carrots,

tenderstem broccoli, washed

(1 cup) kale, washed and chopped

milliliters (1 tbsp) sesame oil

spring onions, peeled and chopped

Boil the egg noodles in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a bowl, mix the garlic, soy sauce, kecap manis, oyster sauce and sambal oelek. Set aside.

Fry the chicken in the vegetable oil on a high heat for 5 minutes.

Add the shallot, carrot, broccoli and kale to the chicken and stir fry for another 5 minutes.

Pour in the sauce and let the mixture bubble as you keep stir frying for 3 more minutes .

Remove from the heat, sprinkle with sesame oil and spring onions, and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Easy and delicious chicken and broccoli noodle stir fry

Easy Chicken and Broccoli Noodle Stir Fry

440 g udon noodles ((2 packs total),

300 g skinless chicken thigh

broccoli

red bell pepper

sesame seeds

Tbsp oyster sauce

Tbsp honey

tsp minced garlic

tsp sesame oil

Marinate the chopped chicken in the sauce (while the other ingredients are getting prepared) and set aside. Heat a pan/skillet on medium-high heat and once heated add some cooking oil and spread it thinly. Add the chicken (and any remaining marinade) and cook until 60% of the meat is cooked (about 5 mins). Stir occasionally.

Boil the udon noodles per the manufacturer’s instructions. Drain the water. Set aside. (Ideally, step 1 and step 2 should start at the same time so that you use the fresh, warm and not sticky noodles.)

Add the broccoli and the red bell peppers into the skillet and stir. Cook until the chicken is nearly (98%) cooked. Add the boiled udon noodles and stir occasionally. Once the chicken is fully cooked, garnish with the sesame seeds then serve.

These quick &amp; easy pan fried noodles are made with a handful of ingredients in a single pan, making it the perfect meal to add to your dinner rotation. Tossed in a savory sauce and aromatic vegetables, these stir-fried noodles are packed with flavor and can easily be customized to your liking.
