A copycat recipe for the famous Olive Garden Salad, complete with juicy sweet tomatoes, tangy pepperoncini peppers, savory black olives, zesty Parmesan cheese, sharp red onions, and garlicky croutons. Olive Garden Salad

romaine lettuce, (coarsely chopped)

black olives

Roma tomatoes, (thinly sliced)

pepperoncini peppers

Parmesan cheese, (freshly grated)

(73 grams) red wine vinegar

Dijon mustard

oregano

Italian seasoning

white sugar

olive oil

full-fat mayo

SALAD: Coarsely chop the lettuce, wash and throughly dry (I love a salad spinner for this step). Place lettuce in a large bowl. Top the salad with black olives, thinly sliced tomatoes, very thinly sliced red onion, and pepperoncini.

DRESSING: In a large mason jar add all the dressing ingredients: 1/3 cup red wine vinegar, 1 and 1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon white sugar, 1/2 cup olive oil, 2 tablespoons mayo, and salt &amp; pepper to taste (I use 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper). Put on the lid and shake to combine. It might take a minute of good vigorous shaking, but the mayo should completely integrate (keep shaking until it does). If you have time, make this ahead and chill in the fridge to intensify the flavors.  Shake again right before mixing in to the salad.

ASSEMBLY: Right before eating (See Note 1), toss the salad with the dressing (you probably won&#039;t use all the dressing -- See Note 2). Add the croutons and freshly grated Parmesan cheese right on top and enjoy immediately.

Chill your salad bowl in the freezer for at least 30 minutes.

Empty the bag of salad into the bowl.

Top the salad with sliced onion, olives, pepperoncini, croutons, and tomatoes.

Add freshly grated cheese, if desired.

I want you to get a large bag of salad and I really like this Dole regular
salad. It has cabbage and carrots in it. I've got a large bowl, right here.
Now a big tip is to go ahead, and put this bowl in your refrigerator and
let it chill.

The next thing we are going to do is we're going to add a little bit of red
onions right here, and we're going to add one or two tomatoes, quartered,
and then we're going to add pepperoncini. Now pepperoncini peppers are a
little hotter than banana peppers, so if you like something that's less hot
use banana peppers instead. But if you like the heat, go ahead and use the
pepperoncini.

Then finally some black olives and we're just going to put our black olives
on top. That's perfect. And what do we need next, croutons, so we're going
to top the salad off with some croutons. All right, here you go. You have

Olive Garden Salad Dressing Recipe

In a large bowl combine the salad mix, tomatoes, pepperoncini, red onion, black olives, croutons and Parmesan Cheese.

Toss with Olive Garden salad dressing recipe.

Olive Garden Salad Recipe

iceberg lettuce (chopped)

black olives (drained)

parmesan cheese (fresh grated)

olive oil (extra virgin)

garlic (fresh minced)

lemon juice

Using a large serving bowl, layer 3 cups of the chopped lettuce, ½ cup of the black olives, ½ cup of the sliced red onion, ½ of the sliced tomatoes, and ½ cup of the croutons.

Layer the remaining lettuce, black olives, sliced red onion, sliced tomatoes, and croutons.

Lay the pepperoncini peppers on top of the salad.

Evenly sprinkle the grated parmesan on top of the salad. Set the salad aside.

Using either a small mixing bowl and a whisk, or a quart-sized mason jar with a lid, combine the olive oil, white wine vinegar, water, mayonnaise, sugar, fresh  minced garlic, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, kosher salt, black pepper and red pepper flakes. If using the bowl and whisk, whisk until the dressing is well combined. If using the mason jar, tightly screw on the lid and shake until the ingredients are completely incorporated,

Immediately pour the dressing over the top of the salad. Serve immediately.

Garlic powder is ground, dehydrated garlic. It is a very common seasoning. Applications include pasta, pizza, and grilled chicken. Garlic salt is simply salt plus garlic powder. (Pre-made products usually include an anti-caking agent.) Garlic powder is a common component of spice mix. It is also a common component of seasoned salt.

Place ½ cup mayonnaise, ⅓ cup white distilled vinegar, 1 tablespoon sugar, 4 tablespoons parmesan cheese, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, and 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice into a blender and blend until smooth.

To Prepare the Dressing

In a large mixing or serving bowl combine the salad mix, sliced Roma tomatoes, pepperoncini peppers, thinly sliced red onion, and black olives together.

Drizzle the salad mixture with ½ cup of the salad dressing and toss to combine.

Top with croutons and parmesan cheese. Serve immediately with the dressing remaining dressing on the side.

For The Salad

Capricciosa Salad - Italian Coleslaw Salad - an easy appetizer or a salad from the Mediterranean that is very similar to homemade Coleslaw.

First, slice the celery and carrot into thin strips, place into small cooking pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and let simmer until vegetables are cooked.

Then, in the meantime, slice the pickles, ham, cheese and artichokes - again in strips.

Next, drain the celery and carrot and let cool completely. Combine in a salad bowl with the rest of the ingredients.

Finally, add in the  mayonnaise and yogurt, season with salt and pepper and serve. Or cool in the fridge for 1-2 hours and serve cold.
