Heat Instant Pot to “Sauté.” Add oil, sausage, and onion. Cook, breaking up sausage into small pieces, until sausage is no longer pink and onions are translucent. Add garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes or until garlic is fragrant.

Instant Pot Pasta with Sausage, Spinach, and Tomatoes

One-Pan Soba Noodles is a simple vegetarian and low FODMAP recipe inspired by Martha Stewart&#039;s ingenious One-Pan Pasta. With tomatoes, basil and scallions.

One-Pan Soba Noodles

180 g | 6,34 oz soba noodles

150 g | 5,29 oz cherry tomatoes (halved)

scallions green tops (sliced)

basil

garlic olive oil

salt

water

Combine pasta, tomatoes, scallions, basil, oil, salt and water in a large skillet. Bring to a boil over high heat.

Boil mixture, stirring and turning pasta frequently with tongs, until pasta is cooked and water has nearly evaporated. This will take about 7 minutes.

Season to taste with salt, olive oil and lactose free shredded cheese (optional).

This creamy Chicken Broccoli Ziti cooks in one pan for easy clean up. Ready in 30 minutes! This healthy pasta recipe is lighter but doesn&#x27;t skimp on flavor.

Chicken Broccoli Ziti

butter (divided)

Italian seasoning

red pepper flakes (optional;

milk (plus additional as needed)

dry whole wheat ziti pasta

broccoli

artichoke hearts

lemon juice (for even more lemon flavor, add the zest also)

Parmesan cheese (plus additional for serving)

parsley (plus additional for serving)

Heat 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon oil in a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium high. Once the butter is melted, add the chicken and sprinkle with ¼ teaspoon salt and black pepper. Saute until the chicken is golden on the outside and completely cooked through, about 5 minutes. With a large spoon, remove the chicken to a plate and cover to keep warm. Set aside.

Reduce the heat to medium. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons butter and the onion. Cook until the onion begins to soften, about 3 minutes. Do not let the onion brown (adjust the heat as needed if it starts to brown). Add the garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and remaining ¼ teaspoon salt. Stir and cook just until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Slowly stir in the broth and milk. Bring to a boil, then add the ziti. Let the ziti boil for 5 minutes, then stir in the broccoli florets. Continue boiling until the ziti is al dente, about 5 to 7 minutes more. Stir often to make sure the ziti cooks evenly. If at any point the pasta looks too dry, splash in additional milk as needed.

Stir in the artichoke hearts, lemon juice, Parmesan, parsley, and reserved chicken. Taste and adjust seasoning as you like. Enjoy hot, with a sprinkle of extra Parmesan and parsley as desired.

This Creamy Sausage Pasta is a quick and easy one pot recipe. It makes a brilliant midweek dinner, where the pasta is cooked in a super tasty the sauce, all in a single pan. 

Creamy Sausage Pasta

Olive oil

Cloves garlic (Peeled and crushed.)

pork sausages

peppers

250 g Dry pasta

tomatoes

Fennel seeds

tsp Italian herbs

0.5 tsp Dried chilli flakes

Salt and black pepper

750 ml Vegetable stock (See notes.)

250 g Cream cheese

g Parmesan cheese (Grated.)

g basil (Chopped, optional.)

Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan or frying pan (one which has a lid) over a medium heat. Add the onions and garlic and fry gently until softened (about 4 - 5 minutes).

Remove the sausages from their skins and plop into the pan in small chunks, add the pepper slices, turn up the heat and let everything fry for 5 minutes until the sausage chunks are golden and the peppers are just starting to blacken at the edges.

Add the dry pasta, chopped tomatoes, fennel seeds, Italian herbs, chilli flakes, salt and pepper and about 500ml of the stock. Give everything a good stir, pop the lid on and cook for 13 - 15 minutes until the pasta is ALMOST cooked through and most of the liquid has been absorbed.

* Note! I always make up 750ml of stock and then check on the pasta as it cooks and add more if needed, if it&#x27;s looking dry. If you like very &#x27;wet&#x27; saucy pasta, go ahead and add it all at the start.

When the pasta is JUST ALMOST cooked, add the cream cheese, parmesan cheese and fresh basil (if using). Give everything a good stir and leave on the heat for a minute or two just to warm through.

Serve immediately.

Bring 3 cups Water  to a boil in a tea kettle.

Add the 2 cups cherry tomatoes and 4-6 garlic cloves to a high-rimmed skillet.

Drizzle with 2 tablespoons olive oil and season generously with kosher salt and pepper. Stir in the zest of 1 lemon.

Add the ½ pound spaghetti to the skillet and pour over the boiling water.

Cover the pan and cook over medium heat, for about 6-7 minutes, stirring once or twice to avoid the pasta from sticking.

Remove the cover and stir in the spinach or 2 cups kale. Continue to cook for 3-5 minutes more until the pasta is al dente. The pasta can easily stick or clump, so keep an eye on it and stir whenever necessary.

Once the pasta is cooked to al dente, stir in the ⅓ cup Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and allow it to sit for 3-5 minutes before serving (this will thicken the sauce even more and be smooth and so good).

Requiring only one pan and simple, low-cost ingredients, this deliciously appetising Chicken with Creamy Red Pesto Risoni (Orzo) is the perfect choice for a satisfying meal when time is tight.

Chicken with Creamy Red Pesto Risoni (Orzo)

250 g (9 oz) cherry tomatoes

(135 g) freshly grated zucchini (courgette) (approximately 2 zucchini)

unsalted butter

tbsp garlic

(200 g) risoni (orzo)

chicken stock

(250 ml) thickened (heavy) cream

(90 g) baby spinach leaves

(50 g)

Sea salt flakes,

black pepper,

tbsp freshly chopped flat-leaf (Italian) parsley, to serve (optional)

Prepare the chicken

– In a shallow dish, sprinkle the chicken on both sides with the sweet paprika, oregano, salt and pepper.

Cook the chicken

– Heat the olive oil in a large, deep, heavy-based pan over medium–high heat. Cook the chicken for 8–10 minutes, or until cooked through, turning once halfway. Add the water in the last 2 minutes of cooking to deglaze the pan and lift all the delicious drippings stuck to the bottom. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside on a plate.

Cook the vegetables

– To the same pan, add the cherry tomatoes and zucchini. Cook for 1–2 minutes until the tomatoes have started to soften.

Add the butter and, once melted, immediately add the garlic. Cook, stirring for 30 seconds.

Cook the risoni

– Add the risoni, chicken stock and cream to the pan. Cook for 10–12 minutes, uncovered, stirring regularly (see note 2 for tips).

Combine everything in the pan

– Turn the heat off and remove the pan from the heat. Stir through the spinach leaves, parmesan and red pesto. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Return the chicken to the pan (slice it first if desired), then cover and allow to sit for 2–3 minutes to heat through before serving (see note 3 for tips on how to get the perfect saucy consistency).

Serve

– Divide among four bowls and serve sprinkled with parsley, if using, and a squeeze of fresh lemon.

This Chicken with Creamy Red Pesto Risoni is one of those dinners that looks fancy but comes together with minimal effort. Stir it all together in the same pan – risoni, juicy chicken, veggies, cream, parmesan, and pesto – and boom. Dinner magic.

CHICKEN
 
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (approximately 500 g/1 lb 2 oz) halved horizontally to make 4 thinner steaks (see note 1 if you want to use thighs)    
1 tsp sweet paprika 
1 tsp dried oregano 
½ tsp sea salt flakes
¼ tsp cracked black pepper 
1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil 
¼ cup (60 ml) water 
 
RISONI
 
250 g (9 oz) cherry tomatoes 
1 cup (135 g) freshly grated zucchini (courgette) (approximately 2 zucchini) 
2 tbsp unsalted butter 
1 tbsp freshly grated garlic 
1 cup (200 g) risoni (orzo)
2 cups (500 ml) chicken stock 
1 cup (250 ml) thickened (heavy) cream 
2 cups (90 g) baby spinach leaves 
½ cup (50 g) freshly grated parmesan, plus extra to garnish
⅓ cup red (sundried tomato) pesto (or any pesto of choice) 
Sea salt flakes, to taste 
Cracked black pepper, to taste 
1 tbsp freshly chopped flat-leaf (Italian) parsley, to serve (optional) 
Lemon wedges, to serve
