This sweet and refreshing Orange Crush Cocktail tastes just like a classic orange soda, but is made with San Pellegrino, fresh orange juice, and vodka for a more delicious and boozy adult drink!

Orange Crush Cocktail Recipe

orange juice

San Pellegrino Aranciata (orange soda)

orange vodka

orange liqueur (like grand marnier or gran gala)

lemon juice

Squeeze 2 ounces of fresh orange juice per cocktail.

Set out a cocktail shaker and fill it with ice. Combine the freshly squeezed orange juice, San Pellegrino orange soda, orange vodka, orange liqueur, and a tiny splash of fresh lemon juice. Stir vigorously.

Then fill a lowball glass with ice and strain the cocktail over the ice. Garnish with a fresh orange slice and serve.

Orange Crush Cupcakes are soft, fluffy and moist cupcakes made with only two ingredients - a vanilla cake mix and a can of sweet and delicious orange Crush soda!

Orange Crush Cupcakes

white cake mix

orange Crush soda

butter (softened)

confectioner’s sugar

Tbs orange jello

Tbsp orange Crush soda

vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 350°F. 

Place cupcake liners in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups in a cupcake pan.

In a large mixing bowl combine the cake mix and orange Crush soda until smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Scrape the sides of the bowl.

Pour batter into muffin cups about ¾ full. 

Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. 

Remove from oven and let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Remove cupcakes from the pan and let continue cooling on a cooling rack. 

For the Cupcakes:

In a medium bowl combine butter and confectioners sugar, one cup of sugar at a time. Add in orange jello, orange Crush soda, and vanilla and mix until smooth. 

Frost cupcakes and decorate as desired.

Glazed Orange Dream Pound Cake

unsalted butter (room temperatue)

butter-flavor shortening

sugar

eggs (room temperature)

orange extract

medium orange (plus more for garnish if desired)

all-purpose flour (sifted)

salt

orange soda (I used Sunkist)

red and yellow food coloring (to make orange if deisred)

milk (or enough to make a thick, pourable glaze)

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Grease and lightly flour a bundt pan. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together butter, shortening and sugar.

Beat in eggs one at a time.

Stir in orange extract and vanilla extract.

Stir in orange zest.

In a medium bowl, sift together flour and salt.

Combine dry ingredients into wet ingredients, mixing gently, alternating with the orange soda.

Stir in red and yellow food coloring to create a deeper orange color, if desired.

Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with moist crumbs clinging. (Do not overbake as cake will continue to cook as it sits in the pan to cool.)

Remove from oven and leave in pan until pan is cool enough to touch.

Remove cake from pan and place on a cooling rack until completely cooled.

Mix glaze ingredients and pour over cooled cake.

Sprinkle with orange zest and let glaze harden.

Serve!

Ronda, The soda compensates for the baking powder and baking soda. You'll find this in the Coca Cola Recipe Book. 

3 sticks of butter instead of the shortening will work fine.

Original pound cake doesn't use a leavening agent. This recipe relies on the air that's whipped into the cake while creaming the butter and sugar. I normally whip my butter for 7mins before I add the sugar, which is then whipped for 3mins. I've had great success with this cake (with no leavening agent). Hope this helps!

All you need is two ingredients (a ham and some of your favorite orange soda) for this fantastic and EASY recipe. The ham comes out sweet and tender when cooked in your slow cooker. Make this ham for Sunday dinner or a special occasion like Easter or Christmas!

Crock-Pot Orange Soda Ham Recipe

Pounds Bone-In Ham (*See Note)

Orange Soda (any brand)

Place ham in a 6 quart or larger slow cooker.

Pour enough orange soda over the slow cooker until the soda reaches about 2/3 of the way up the sides of your slow cooker. You may have soda left over.

Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours or until the internal temperature of the ham reaches 165° F (74°C) on an instant read meat thermometer.

Using oven mitts, carefully remove the slow cooker insert from the base and drain off and discard the liquid.

Place ham on a platter and tent the ham with aluminum foil. Allow the ham to rest for 10 to 15 minutes.

Carve the ham and serve. Reserve the ham bone to use in soups for later if desired.

Serve and enjoy!
