Easy Crispy Fried Shrimp Recipe

400 g raw jumbo shrimp, deveined

tsp salt

tsp white pepper or black pepper

allspice powder

tsp oregano, dried and finely crushed (optional)

tsp thyme leaves, dried (optional)

onion powder

hot sauce ((optional)

flour

tsp baking powder

garlic powder

paprika

tsp cayenne pepper, powdered ((optional)

tbsp milk (optional)

In a small bowl, rinse the shrimp and pat dry.

Season the shrimp with the shrimp seasoning.

In a small lidded container, prepare the dry mixture, cover and shake to combine.

Add the shrimp to the dry mixture, cover the container and shake to coat the shrimp.

In another small bowl, prepare the egg mixture and whisk together. If you choose to omit the milk, whisk the egg and set aside.

Add the shrimp to the wet (egg) mixture, then stir with a large fork until the shrimp is fully coated.

Return the shrimp to the dry mix container, cover and shake once more.

Heat the cooking oil in a large wide frying pan or wok. To know when the oil is ready, sprinkle a pinch of flour in the oil. When bubbles form around the flour, the oil is at the right temperature.

Add the shrimp to the oil one by one, lightly shaking off the excess flour before.

When you have added all the shrimp to the pot, reduce heat to medium.

Turn each shrimp every 2 minutes until cooked and golden brown all over.

Remove the cooked shrimp onto a plate, lined with a thick paper towel.

Let the shrimp cool for a few minutes, then bless up and enjoy it!

I&#039;ll show you how to make a healthy appetizer that will impress all your guests. My shrimp tempura sushi is so delicious!

Shrimp Tempura Roll (Homemade Sushi)

125 ml sparkling water

sushi rice ((sticky rice))

To make the shrimp tempura, mix the flour, cornflour, baking powder, salt and sparkling water to form a light batter of creamy consistency.

In a large pan, add vegetable oil (the amount depending on the size of your pan, but about 2 cups should be enough), heat it up, then coat each shrimp in the batter, shaking any excess.

Fry for about one minute each shrimp, until the outside is golden and crispy. Repeat with the remaining shrimp.

To make the sushi roll, cook the rice according to the packet instruction, adding the rice vinegar to it, then leave it to cool completely.

Place the bamboo mat on the work surface, then cover it with a plastic sheet just to protect it from getting sticky from the rice.

Place the nori sheet on top of the pastic sheet, then spread half of the rice evenly over the nori, then flip the nori upside down so the rice is underneath and the nori sheet on top.

Add half of the shrimp tempura, cucumber sticks, and ginger near the edge of the nori closest to you.

Lift the end of the mat and roll it away using your thumbs to hold the filling in place until the nori forms a roll.

Chops the ends of the roll to make it neat, then cut into equal mini sushi rolls.

Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients, so you will have to big rolls.

Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Pinwheels – Sweet and buttery puff pastry rolled up with brie cheese, cranberries, nuts, and a drizzle of honey, and baked to perfectly flaky pinwheels.

Brie cheese, (rind mostly removed and cheese diced)

Preheat oven to 375˚F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Unroll the puff pastry on a clean work surface and brush with about a tablespoon of melted butter.

Add the diced brie, cranberries, and nuts evenly over the pastry.

Drizzle honey over cheese, cranberries, and nuts.

Starting at the long end, roll the pastry up as tightly as possible.

Brush the roll with remaining melted butter.

Using a sharp knife, cut into 12 pinwheels.

Transfer pinwheels to previously prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until cheese is melted and pastry is golden.

Remove from oven and let stand couple minutes.

Transfer to a serving plate.

Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Peel the garlic cloves, then add them to the bowl of a food processor and pulse until chopped. Drain the pinto beans. Add the pinto beans, Greek yogurt, cumin, oregano, chili powder, onion powder, and ½ teaspoon kosher salt. Process until smooth, about 1 minute.

Brush a cast iron skillet or 9 x 9″ pan with olive oil and pour bean mixture into the skillet. Drain the white beans. To the bean mixture, stir in the white beans, ½ cup Mexican cheese, green chiles, hot sauce (optional), and ¾ teaspoon kosher salt.

Mince the red pepper and thinly slice the green onions. Top the white chili cheese dip with 1 to 1 ½ cups Mexican cheese (depending on your cheese preference!), red pepper, green onions, and frozen corn.

Bake for 20 minutes until cheese is melted*. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Preheat the oven to 450°F and brush an 8-inch cast iron skillet lightly with olive oil.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cauliflower and garlic and boil until the cauliflower is fork tender, about 8 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to scoop the cauliflower and the garlic into a blender, reserving the pot of cooking water.

Set a bowl of ice water nearby. Add the spinach to the boiling water and use a slotted spoon to immediately remove it (it’ll wilt very quickly) and transfer to the ice water to cool completely. Drain and squeeze excess moisture from the spinach. Coarsely chop the spinach and add it to a large bowl with the artichokes and scallions.

Check to make sure that the cauliflower in the blender has (mostly) cooled, then add the yogurt, olive oil, mustard, and salt to the blender and blend until creamy. Add this mixture to the bowl with the spinach and artichokes and stir to combine.

Spread the spinach mixture into the skillet and top with the cheese and pinches of red pepper flakes. Bake 15 to 18 minutes, or until the cheese on top is browned and bubbling.

Garnish with parsley, if desired, and serve with baguette slices.

Weigh the milk, olive oil, sugar, and yeast into the Thermomix bowl. Set to warm at 37°C for 5 minutes on speed 1.

Add the bread flour and salt. Knead for 3 minutes on dough mode.

Remove the dough and place it in a warm spot (like your Thermoserver) to prove for 30 minutes to 1 hour, until puffy.

Divide the dough into 26 balls (about 28g each). Stuff a small cube of mozzarella into each ball and roll to seal.

Arrange the balls on a tray in the shape of a Christmas tree, with six along the bottom and the remaining balls forming the tree. Use the two leftover balls for the base.

Whisk an egg in a small bowl and brush the dough balls with the egg wash.

Place the tray in a cold oven, then set to 200°C fan. Bake for 20–30 minutes, until golden brown.

Remove from the oven, brush with melted butter, and sprinkle with grated parmesan, chopped capsicum, and herbs. Serve warm or cold.

Warm the milk, olive oil, sugar, and yeast in a saucepan until lukewarm. Transfer to a large bowl.

Add the bread flour and salt, then mix until a dough forms. Knead by hand for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Cover and let rise in a warm spot for 30 minutes to 1 hour, until puffy.

Divide the dough into 26 balls, stuff with mozzarella, and arrange on a tray in a Christmas tree shape.

Brush with egg wash, then bake in a preheated 200°C fan oven for 20–30 minutes, until golden brown.
