Boxed Yellow Cake Mix

butter

can sweetened condensed milk

coconut

To a 9 x 13 pan, add both cans of crushed pineapple with the juice.

Spread dry cake mix over the top.

Drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the dry cake mix.

Pour the melted butter as evenly as possible across the top.

Sprinkle the coconut on the top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.

15.25 oz cake mix ((white or yellow cake mix))

butter ((1 stick or 8 tablespoons - melted))

brown sugar ((packed))

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously butter or spray a 9x13 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.

In the bottom of your prepared pan, add the 2 cans of drained pineapple tidbits (or a combination of 1 can of pineapple tidbits and 1 can of crushed pineapple). Spread the pineapple out evenly in the pan. *Be sure to reserve the juice from one of the cans to add to the topping!

Add the cake mix by sprinkling it evenly over the top of the pineapple. Drizzle the reserved pineapple juice over the top of the cake mix layer, then add the melted butter. Try to moisten as much of the surface of the cake mix as possible.

crumble

Crumble the light brown sugar over the top of the cake mix then cover the baking dish with a sheet of aluminum foil.

bake

Bake in the middle of the center rack of your oven at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes, then remove the aluminum foil and finish baking the pineapple dump cake for an additional 15 minutes. The top of your cake should be golden browned and slightly crunchy when done.

serve

Remove from the oven when done and allow to cool slightly (about 10 minutes) before serving warm.

Chop up on stick of butter into small squares and spread evenly across cake mix. This will create a nice crust.

Add chopped pecans to the top and spread over the rest of the cake.

Place baking dish in oven for 35-45 minutes or until topping is slightly browned.

I've made Peach Cobbler with Cake Mix and Apple Cobbler with Cake Mix but never thought about using Pineapple.  This is simply one of the most delicious and easiest cobblers I've EVER made.  There are 2 things that are done in this recipe that aren't in my normal cobblers with cake mix and that is the brown sugar and melted butter.  I've always dotted my cake mix with butter but never poured a whole cup over it.  That has now become a must do for all of my cake cobblers from now on.

This was so easy and a huge crowd pleaser at our pre-Easter dinner with family. They all fought over what was left in the pan. I added chopped walnuts and fresh blueberries. I also sprinkled 1/2 of the brown sugar on the bottom with the balance on top with the cake mix. Perfect and delish!! Wow!!
