Chicken Bacon Ranch Bubble-Up Bake

I sauteed onion and minced garlic in the butter before making the roux, then sprinkled ranch seasoning in just before adding the vegetables (I used broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots) to add more flavour. Once I put the chicken on top I lightly sprinkled salt and some more ranch seasoning. Then the bacon and biscuits, with a little more ranch seasoning on to finish. I loosely put tinfoil over the casserole dish for the first half of baking and then removed it for the second half. Also, I baked it for 1 hour total so that the vegetables were fully cooked. Long story short, the kids absolutely loved it, even my picky 7 yr old and I will definitely be making this again!

Delicious! I used green beans instead of broccoli and fried them up a little in the bacon grease before making the gravy. My whole family loved it!

My family and I love this recipe -which is pretty hard. This is in our top five favorite recipes and in on our meal rotation. I make it just like the recipe here. Thumbs-up from me.

I replaced the whole milk with almond breeze milk and I used garlic ranch seasoning instead. Also I did not have any shredded cheddar at the house so I used fiesta cheese and shredded some goat cheese. It was a big hit with the family! I also prepared creole style corn and butter garlic rice as a side with it.

I used prosciutto instead of bacon and it was much less greasy(therefore a little healthier) but still added flavor. And I used Pillsbury crescent rolls instead of the biscuits. It was absolutely delicious and my 3 kids and husband all had seconds and said to definitely make this again.
I only made the substitutions because this is what I had on hand. I think I will keep the crescent  roll change but next time I will use bacon. Definitely a keeper.

I used the bacon grease to sautee some of the broccoli and some fresh chopped garlic and onions before making the roux. Turned out amazing!

I gave this recipe a try because well I was bored with the norm and decided to try out new ways to prepare meals for my picky grandkids. It was a winner for all except the youngest who's 5 yrs old. She is the pickiest and if i find a way to substitute the cheese then I'm sure the recipe would be a winner for her as well. Maybe try a different cheese to win her over but I know out of 5 out of 6 in the home I will make this meal be a part of our menu for now on. Absolutely give a 4 star rating just as it is good can make better with additional vegetables and maybe substitute with different cheese option.

Very bland. Wasn’t a favorite at all. The broccoli mixture was not good. Needs a lot more seasoning or use bacon grease.

This was horrible. I don't know why it tasted salty and the biscuts were just uncooked and brown on the top tasting like the most nastiest meal I have ever cook. I will not be making this ever again or at least using this horrible recipe.

This was super easy and had tons of flavor. I used a pre cooked rotisserie chicken. My family really enjoyed it.

I found that you should not substitute a 2 quart corningware for a flat 9x 13. The biscuits were raw in the middle of the dish, but using an actually flat 9x 13 should do the trick.  It's really tasty with corn as well.  Will definitely make again.

Loved this. Only change I made is what someone else recommended. I left the bacon grease as part of my rue. Really good fall comfort food.

Flavors were good, but the biscuits were brown on top and uncooked/soggy on the bottom.

Awful! I will not make this meal again. The biscuits did not cook through all the way, the sauce way too thick and rich, and by sprinkling the ranch dressing mix on top it made it very salty. All in all, not a good tasting meal at all.

As suggested by another reviewer, I saved the bacon drippings and added enough butter to make 6 tbsp total. I also sprinkled the ranch dressing over the cut up biscuits before topping with bacon. I didn't taste it because I'm on a keto diet, but the men in my family absolutely loved it!

This was so good, my 7 year old ate 3 servings and still wanted more after he looked like he was going to explode! Needless to say, I will definitely be making this again...and again...

Chicken Bacon Ranch Bubble-Up Bake Is What Your Soul Needs

This Creamy Chicken Stew recipe is simple to make on the Stove Top, Crock Pot, or Instant Pot! Enjoy it over biscuits or topped with dumplings!

Creamy Chicken Stew

olive oil

chicken breasts

Italian seasoning

Salt/Pepper

onion, (diced)

red potatoes, (sliced)

baby carrots

celery, (diced)

green beans (fresh

cream of chicken soup

whole milk*

sour cream (at room temp)

dry ranch dressing mix

Melt butter in a soup pot over medium heat.

Season cubed chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Add to the pot and saute until cooked through. Remove from the pot.

Add 1 tablespoon olive or vegetable oil to the pot along with the vegetables. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the chicken back.

Combine the cream of chicken soup, milk, sour cream, and Ranch seasoning. Add to the pot and stir until well-combined.

Let the soup simmer until the potatoes and carrots are fork tender, about 45 minutes.

Optional: Serve over biscuits!

Stove Top Method

Season the cubed chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

Melt the butter on the bottom of the crock pot. Add the olive oil, vegetables, and chicken. Stir to coat.

Mix together the soup, milk, sour cream and ranch seasoning. Pour on top of the chicken.

Cover the crock pot and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours. Low and slow is the best with milk and dairy products.

Crock Pot Method

Set the Instant Pot to Saute Mode and add the butter, olive, oil and vegetables. Cook until the onions are soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add 1 cup chicken broth and scrape up any bits that may have stuck to the bottom of the pot.

Season the cubed chicken with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Add it to the pot.

Place the lid on the pot and ensure the pressure release valve is sealed. Hit Cancel, then hit Pressure Cook and set the timer for 8 minutes. When the time is up, flip the quick release valve.

Open the lid and switch to Soup mode.

Combine cream of chicken soup, and Ranch seasoning. Add HALF of the milk and HALF of the sour cream.

Let the soup simmer for about 5 minutes and serve!

Note: Only add the additional 1/2 cup of milk and sour cream if you prefer more broth.

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Place in an airtight container and store up to 6 months.

To Make Dressing

Combine 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix, with 1/2 cup mayonnaise &amp; 1/2 cup sour cream. Add up to 1/2 cup milk to reach desired consistency. Stir will and refrigerate at least 20 minutes before serving.

To Make Dip

Use 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning mix in place of 1 packet of ranch mix.

To Replace 1 Envelope Ranch Dressing Mix

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Use immediately or store in an air-tight container until ready to use.

Preheat the oven to 400ºF. In a small bowl, combine the ingredients for the ranch seasoning (buttermilk powder, parsley, dill, onion powder, garlic powder, lemon pepper, black pepper). Set one teaspoon of the ranch seasoning aside to mix with melted butter and brush over the finished biscuits.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and the remaining ranch seasoning (if you do not plan to brush melted butter over your baked biscuits, just us all of the ranch seasoning in the biscuit batter). Make sure the dry ingredients are evenly combined.

Add the heavy cream to the dry ingredients and stir until a sticky batter forms. Make sure no dry flour is left on the bottom of the bowl.

Spoon the batter onto a parchment lined baking sheet in about ¼ cup dollops. The batter does not need to be shaped or smoothed in any way. You should get about 12 biscuits.

Bake the biscuits for about 18 minutes, or until they are puffed and golden brown on top.

After baking, melt the butter in a small dish, then stir in the reserved ranch seasoning. Brush the ranch butter over the top of the biscuits just before serving.
