Great recipe and combination of spices. Very hot but manageable for the adults with pickles and ranch on the side. I served with sweet potato pancakes and syrup, weird combo but it works.

This was SO delicious ! 
l only used the oil recipe as i made a keto version . I substituted swerve brown sugar replacement  in place of regular brown sugar . Next time i am making the whole recipe .

Taste was amazing and skin came out great, but the cooking time listed was way too short for bone-in chicken Or my chicken was too thick and the temperature of the oil was a bit too hot, mine were undercooked And needed to be finished in the oven.

The double dipping , flour, egg, batter  just wasted  the first dip. But the oil , 4thumbs up, I put less cayenne than required,  this was delicious. Spicy + sweet= fantastic

Szechuan Chicken

lb. boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1" pieces

Only my opinion BUT this is too salty. Even with low sodium soy sauce and I’m a salt lover. I suggest cut back on soy sauce and add oyster sauce along with a touch of sugar to make more Szechuan.

Not szechuan, but a very good Asian flavor!

Too much soy which was overbearing in the sauce.

A mix of garlic and crushed red pepper flakes that get all sizzly together for about a minute, then soy sauce, hoisin, honey, and lime juice. The result is tangy and perfectly sweet. I made this when I was a meat-eater and we loved it! I have been pescatarian since July 2019, but I didn't want to give up my favorite recipes.   Last night,  I made 2 smaller baking dishes of the Chicken Salsa Verde... one with chicken breast and one with Earthgrown Chickenless Strips.   Served over Jasmine rice.   The vegetarian option was delish!   So happy to still have this recipe!   Just had to rethink it a bit!  Yum!

Super easy and definitely a staple especially during the quarantine. The two year old is a fan as well. Definitely meant for salsa Vverde. Switched it up this one time and did red salsa and wasn't totally the same. But put cheese on top of anything and well, it's amazing!

I made this tonight for the first time taking a leap of faith with a new recipe. It was an absolute hit! I loved it, as did my visiting family! This will be added to my favorite EASY meals to prepare.

This has become a regular in the family rotation! Super easy weeknight meal, and chicken comes out moist and tender every time. I buy the mild salsa verde so it isn't too spicy for my kid. Winner winner chicken dinner!!  Serve over rice with lime wedges and extra chopped cilantro on top.

Added 1-2 sliced bell peppers and a small onion for some extra veggies, and it was great! Chicken thighs work well, too! 👍🏻👍🏻

Baked Salsa Verde Chicken Will Spice Up Your Weeknights!

Hot, sweet and sticky, these Korean chicken wings make a great choice for a dinner party starter

Korean BBQ wings

chicken wings

11⁄2 tbsp sunflower oil

tbsp sesame seeds

spring onions

tbsp rice wine vinegar

soy sauce

tbsp golden caster sugar

ginger

1½ tbsp sriracha chilli sauce

tbsp tomato ketchup

Soak 12 wooden skewers in water for at least 10 mins. To make the sauce, pour the vinegar and soy into a jug. Heat the sugar and 1 tbsp water in a small pan until the sugar has dissolved, then simmer until it turns a deep caramel colour. Standing well back as it will spit, pour in the vinegar and soy. Reduce the heat and let it bubble for a few mins, then add the remaining sauce ingredients, stir well and cook for 5 mins until smooth and thickened. Set aside.

Light the barbecue (or set your oven grill to medium). Once the coals have died down, spread out to an even layer. Cut the tips from the chicken wings, then stretch them out as straight as you can and push a skewer through the length of each wing. Brush the skin with the oil and season. Cook the wings on the barbecue or under the grill for 10 mins each side, until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is golden brown and crisp.

Remove the skewers to a large plate. Pour two-thirds of the sauce into a bowl, reserving the rest in the pan. Using a brush, coat each skewer well with the sauce from the bowl, then return them to the barbecue or grill and cook for a further 2-3 mins each side until the sauce has caramelised.

Transfer the skewers to a serving platter. Reheat the reserved sauce, adding a splash of water to loosen if needed, then drizzle over the skewers. Top with the sesame seeds and spring onions.

Firecracker Chicken (Easy Dinner Recipe)

ground pepper

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200°C) and coat a 9x13-inch pan with cooking spray.

Add cornstarch, ginger, pepper, and 1 teaspoon of salt to a large freezer bag and shake to combine. Then add the cubed chicken and shake until the meat is fully coated. Set aside.

Grab a shallow bowl or dish and add the eggs. Beat them gently with a fork, so the whites are mixed into the yolks.

Heat the oil in a large, non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. When the oil is glossy and shimmering, it’s ready to go.

As the oil heats, use tongs to add about 1/3 of the chicken to the bowl with the beaten eggs. Toss gently to coat the chicken thoroughly.

Use a slotted spoon to retrieve the chicken from the egg mixture, and let any excess drip off into the bowl.

Add the chicken to the hot oil and cook, turning once, until it’s golden. It takes about 2 minutes per side. (Note: this is just to make everything crispy, the chicken is NOT safe to eat yet.)

When the chicken is crispy, transfer it to the prepared 9x13-inch pan. Repeat steps 6-8, adding a tablespoon of oil between batches. There should be 3 batches in total.

Mix the honey, hot sauce, vinegar, remaining salt, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the 9x13-inch pan and stir to coat.

Bake in the oven for 25 to 35 minutes. The insides should no longer be pink, and the juices should be clear.

When it's ready, serve over rice and top with the scallions and sesame seeds.

Spicy chicken with rice & beans

pack skinless, boneless chicken thigh (6 thighs)

paprika paprika

tsp cumin

tsp coriander

chilli flakes

onion

garlic

tbsp sugar

passata

chicken stock

tbsp white wine vinegar

red, orange or yellow pepper

basmati rice

kidney bean

yogurt

Cut 2-3 slashes in each chicken thigh, sprinkle the spices over and turn to coat. If you have time, cover and leave to marinate at room temperature for 2 hrs, or overnight in the fridge.

Heat half the oil in a large pan. Add the onion and cook for 4 mins. Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 secs more. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

Add the remaining oil to the pan and sprinkle over the sugar. Cook over a medium heat until the sugar begins to caramelise. When it turns dark brown, add the chicken and cook for 4 mins, turning. Pour in the passata, stock and vinegar, then add the pepper, onion and garlic. Season and stir. Bring to the boil, reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 25 mins, stirring occasionally.

Meanwhile, put the rice in a saucepan, cover with water and add salt. Bring to the boil and cook for 10-12 mins. Drain and return half to the pan with half the kidney beans, then cover. (Run the other half of the rice under cold water, drain and leave until cold, then mix with the remaining kidney beans. Chill in a container for Thursday’s recipe.).

Serve the chicken with the rice and beans, and spoonfuls of natural yogurt.
