Spicy Shrimp Pasta

DeLallo Whole Wheat Spaghetti (or linguine

olive oil

broccoli

yellow bell pepper

red bell pepper

salt

shallot (minced)

garlic (minced)

25-ounce jar DeLallo Pomodoro Fresco Spicy Arrabbiata Sauce

shrimp

parsley

Parmesan (optional)

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the noodles to al dente according to package instructions.

Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large, deep skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat (a big wok works too). Once the oil is hot, add the broccoli, red and yellow bell peppers, and salt. Let cook for 2 minutes, then add the shallot. Continue cooking until the vegetables are crisp-tender and the shallot is beginning to brown, about 3 additional minutes. Add the garlic and cook just until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Stir in the pasta sauce. Bring the sauce to a gentle boil. Reduce the heat so that the sauce simmers gently. Stir in the shrimp and let simmer until the shrimp are cooked through—they will go from gray/blue to pink and opaque—about 5 minutes.

Drain the pasta and immediately add it to the sauce. Toss to coat the noodles in the sauce and evenly distribute the shrimp and vegetables (a pair of tongs is very handy for this). Sprinkle with parsley and Parmesan. Enjoy immediately.

A simple spicy shrimp pasta that&#x27;s perfect for the summertime! Similar to the shrimp fra Diavolo you get at Italian restaurants, this recipe is made with lots of garlic and cherry tomatoes bursting with summer goodness. A simple pasta dinner that&#x27;s sure to please everyone!

SHRIMP STOCK: Combine the shrimp peels, water, parsley,...

SHRIMP STOCK: Combine the shrimp peels, water, parsley, peppercorns, and 6 whole cloves of garlic, a big pinch of salt in a stockpot. Allow the stock to come to a boil, then lower the heat and let simmer for 10 minutes. Strain the stock through a strainer, reserve 1 cup of the stock.

PASTA: Bring a large pot of water to a boil, salt the water, and cook the pasta minus 1-2 minutes from the package directions, drain and set aside.

SIMMER: In a saute pan, heat the olive...

SIMMER: In a saute pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Slice the remaining 4 cloves of garlic into slices. Add the garlic along with the red pepper flakes to the oil and allow the garlic to sizzle for about 1 minute. Add ¾ cup of shrimp stock and bring to a simmer before adding in all the tomatoes. Stir to combine and when the tomatoes start to simmer, season with salt and black pepper. Cover, lower the heat to low and cook for 10 minutes. Remove the lid, raise the heat back to medium, and continue to cook for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

FINISH: Add the shrimp and let the shrimp cook for 2 minutes, then add the butter and stir it in so that it just melts into the sauce. Continue to cook until the shrimp is almost done, about another 30-60 seconds. Check for seasonings, season with additional salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Add the prepared pasta and toss. If the sauce is too thick, you can add a little bit of the remaining shrimp stock to thin. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and parmesan cheese before serving.

Cajun Shrimp Scampi

spaghetti

Cajun seasoning

dry white wine

salt (divided)

black peppr (divided)

lemon juice

parsley (chopped)

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Before draining the pasta, reserve ¼ cup of the pasta water. Note: You may not need to use whole amount of reserved water.

Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel. Place the shrimp in a mixing bowl and season with Cajun seasoning, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Toss to combine and set aside.

sauté

While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and olive oil. Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic, crushed red pepper flakes, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper. Sauté for one minute, stirring frequently.

reduce

Pour the white wine into the skillet and cook until it has reduced by half, about 3-5 minutes.

Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp are cooked through and pink.

toss and serve

Turn off the heat and add the freshly squeezed lemon juice and chopped parsley to the sauce. Add the cooked pasta and the reserved pasta water to the skillet, if needed. Add pasta water 1 Tablespoon at a time until the sauce is at your desired consistency. Toss everything together until well combined and the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce. Serve immediately.

I made this for my wife, 4-year old and me. It was easy to follow. It came together quick and it was exactly as good as I hoped it would be! We used chicken stock instead of wine and it was all easy. So so good! My 4 year old ate it all as well!

400 gr pasta (bavette)

shrimps

300 gr tomatoes (ripe)

Lid on, cook for 10-15 minutes, adding salt and a ladle of boiling water that you will use to cook the past;

In the meanwhile, get some linguine in abundant boiling water and cook till &quot;al dente&quot;;

When the sauce is ready and creamy, add the prawns in there. Cook for a few minutes;

The pasta is al dente, toss everything together, sprinkle LOTS of finely chopped parsley and stir well;

Serve with some white wine and...
