These easy Candied Pecans crunchy and sweet with perfect caramelized pecans flavor. They&#039;re great for topping on salads, as part of a charcuterie board, giving as holiday gifts, or to enjoy as a snack.

Candied Pecans

sugar

cinnamon

unsalted pecans

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt to a bowl and stir to combine.

In a separate large bowl, beat the egg white, vanilla, and water until stiff peaks form.

Add the pecans to the egg whites mixture and gently toss to coat. Add the cinnamon sugar mixture and stir gently until the pecans are well coated.

Spread the pecans into a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for about 40-45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven and allow the pecans to cool completely on the baking sheet.

When completely cool, store in an airtight container for up to 1 month.

The easiest Stovetop Candied Pecans that take only 5 minutes to make. They are salty, sweet, smoky, and addictively snack worthy!

(200 grams) pecan nuts (, (raw & shelled))

dark brown sugar (, or coconut sugar)

maple syrup

1½ teaspoon smoked paprika (,

fine sea salt

Put the pecan nuts, brown sugar, maple syrup, smoked paprika, cinnamon and salt in a non-stick skillet and stir well.

Place the pan over medium heat, and let the nuts cook for about 5 minutes until really bubbly and sticky. Stir them frequently and don&#39;t leave them unattended as they can burn easily.

Turn off the heat and carefully spoon the nuts onto a parchment paper or silicone mat-lined plate or baking tray. Spread them out in a single layer with a spoon and leave them to cool at room temperature. They will get hard and crunchy as they cool down.

Easy Candied Pecans

brown sugar (75 grams)

½ tablespoons water, or more as needed

Prepare baking sheet for cooling: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Make the glaze: Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, vanilla, water, orange zest, and cayenne to a medium skillet. Place the skillet over medium heat and cook, stirring often, until the brown sugar melts into a bubbling sauce, about 1 minute.

Add the nuts: Stir in the pecans so that the brown sugar sauce coats them. Cook, stirring the entire time, until the pecans look candied and smell nutty, 2 to 3 minutes. As the nuts heat up in the pan, the sauce will slowly coat them and turn shiny. Watch closely as the nuts cook so that they do not burn. If the glaze starts to get thick and grainy before coating the nuts, add a teaspoon or two more water and keep stirring to help the sugar re-dissolve and give you a smooth, even glaze that coats every pecan.

Cool them: Transfer the candied pecans to the prepared baking sheet and spread them out in one layer. Allow the pecans to cool down and break them up before serving.

Using butter instead of seasalt enhances the umami flavor. Personally, I added a bit more cinnamon powder. I think it gives a richer flavor.
