Beef and Noodles using Granny's classic easy 5-ingredient recipe made even quicker in the Instant Pot, but can be made using the crockpot or stove top too.

Classic Beef and Noodles

olive oil

cream of mushroom soup (two 11-ounce boxes from Trader Joe's recommended)

onion dip mix

beef broth (more if needed, see instructions below)

egg noodles

Add olive oil to pressure cooker pot and set to sauté function. Divide meat in half and brown the first half, turning only once. Remove from pot and set on plate. Brown second half of meat. 

Add first batch of meat back to the pressure cooker along with any juices that may have accumulated on the plate. Add cream of mushroom soup, onion dip mix, and beef broth. Stir to mix. Note: if your Instant Pot gives you burn notices, you may want to increase the beef broth to 1 1/2 to 2 cups to prevent that from happening.

Close lid and set to high pressure for 15 minutes. When done, allow to release naturally.&nbsp;

While meat is cooking, cook egg noodles in large pot of salted boiling water to al dente doneness, drain, and set aside.

To serve, top egg noodles with beef and mushroom mixture or simply stir the noodles into the beef gravy mixture.

Instant Pot directions:

Brown meat in heavy bottom pot over medium high heat using same procedure. Once all ingredients (not the egg noodles which will need to be cooked separately) have been added to pot, cover and allow to braise at a simmer for at least an hour.

Stove top directions:

Brown meat in heavy bottom pot over medium high heat using same procedure. Transfer to slow cooker with remaining ingredients (not the egg noodles which will need to be cooked separately). Cover and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 6-8 hours.

Try this easy dinner idea - Beef and Noodles. This recipe is a frugal take on the traditional dinner of beef and noodles.

1.5 Pound Beef Roast (cut into 1 inch pieces)

Tbsp Butter

Onion (diced)

beef broth

Bay Leaves

tsp Dried Thyme Leaves

Salt

Pepper

Tbsp Cornstarch

Water

oz Extra Wide Egg Noodles

Heat a large skillet over medium heat.  Add in the butter and onion and sauté until the onion is translucent (3-4 minutes).

Add in the beef and brown the beef in the skillet with the onions (8-10 minutes) over medium heat.

Then pour 2 cups of the beef broth into the skillet and add in the seasoning.  Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a boil.  Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes until the beef is tender.  Watch closely and slowly add in the last cup of the beef broth as the broth starts to cook off.

Mix the cornstarch into the 1/4 cup cold water in a separate bowl.  Stir this mixture into the skillet mixture and allow this to cook for 10 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.

While the sauce is thickening, cook the egg noodles in a separate pot based on the package instructions.

Serve the beef mixture over the egg noodles and enjoy!

Cups Beef Broth

Ounces Egg Noodles

Cup Sour Cream

Cup Parmesan Cheese

Cup French Fried Onions

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium high heat.

Add the beef and season with the onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Cook for 3-5 minutes until beef is seared on all sides.

Add French onion soup an beef broth to the pot and bring to a simmer.

Simmer the beef on low for 10 minutes, then add the egg noodles and simmer for 10 more minutes, stirring occasionally until the noodles are tender.

Remove the pan from the heat.&nbsp; Stir in the sour cream and parmesan cheese. Sprinkle with french onions as desired.

Recipe video above. A great quick ramen noodle recipe that requires very little prep. The trick here is to caramelise the beef well - makes all the difference! TIP: Don't cook the ramen noodles any longer than it says to on the packet! So basically, this HAS to be a super quick recipe :) Now available:&nbsp;Chicken and vegetable version!

Quick Asian Beef Ramen Noodles

onion (, sliced)

(315 ml) water, plus more as needed

bean sprouts

tbsp dark soy sauce ((Note 4))

tbsp Oyster sauce ((or Hoisin, Note 5))

tsp Hoisin sauce ((or more Oyster sauce))

mirin ((Note 6))

green onion / shallots

Sesame seeds

Mix Sauce.

Heat oils in a medium skillet over high heat. Add onion and garlic, cook for 1 1/2 minutes until starting to go golden.

Add beef and cook, breaking it up as you go, until it changes from pink to light brown.

Add Sauce and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until well caramelised (see video).

Push beef to the side to make enough space for the noodles.&nbsp;Add water, place noodles in water.

Leave for 45 seconds then turn.

Leave for 30 seconds, then untangle the noodles, then toss through the beef.

Add beansprouts, toss for 1 minute until sauce reduces to coat the noodles and the noodles are cooked. (Note 7)

Serve immediately, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

A chuck roast is cooked all day then egg noodles are added to complete the dish. The beef drippings act as a sauce for the beef and noodles.

Slow Cooker Beef and Noodles Recipe

beef bouillon cubes (small ones) (or one extra large cube)

Worcestershire sauce

Unpack the chuck roast and place it on a plate.

Sprinkle the salt, minced garlic, and ground pepper evenly on both sides of the chuck roast.

Into the slow cooker, pour the hot water and add the beef bouillon. Stir until the cube is melted.

Add the Worcestershire sauce and mix with a spoon.

Add the seasoned meat to the slow cooker.

Cover and cook on High for 4-5 hours or low for 8-9 hours.

When the cooking time is up, cook pasta according to the directions (on the stovetop) to al dente on the package and set it aside. Can work on the next steps while that is cooking, (DO NOT OVER COOK THE PASTA).

Pour all the broth out of the slow cooker, saving it. You&#39;ll want to skim off the fat off the top of the broth. You can do this with a spoon or by laying paper towels over the grease and discarding it.

With 2 forks, shred the beef into pieces. I do this right in the slow cooker.

Put the shredded beef back into the slow cooker and pour ¾ cup of the beef broth previously taken out. You can add more broth if desired.

Add the cooked pasta. Mix to coat the pasta with the broth. Season with additional salt and pepper if desired. Serve and Enjoy!

Turn off the slow cooker and serve right away as the warm slow cooker will keep cooking the pasta and will get mushy.

Crockpot Beef and Noodles Recipe

Place the beef in the crockpot and season with salt, pepper, onion, garlic, thyme, and beef boullion. Mix everything together so the beef is well coated.

Pour

In a large bowl, combine the Worcestershire sauce, soup, and broth. Pour over the meat in the crockpot.

Cook

Put the lid on the crockpot and cook on high for 4-5 hours or on low for 7-8 hours.

Make

20 minutes before serving, cook the noodles according to package directions.

Serve

Serve noodles in bowls topped with meat, sauce, and fresh parsley.

Season chuck roast with salt and pepper on both sides.

Heat olive oil over high heat in a medium skillet. Add in beef and brown on both sides, about 2 minutes a side. Remove from the pan and place in the slow cooker.

Remove the chuck roast from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.

Add dry uncooked egg noodles to the slow cooker. Add in an additional 1/2 cup of beef broth or more as needed. Cover and cook on high for 20-25 minutes or until the noodles are tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.

Stir in sour cream and add in the shredded beef back to the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately with parmesan cheese and fresh chopped parsley, if desired!

In a large soup pot, combine the beef broth and water and bring to a boil. Add the egg noodles and cook according to package directions. Drain the noodles and return them to the soup pot.&nbsp;

While the noodles are cooking, warm up the leftover Mississippi Pot Roast and its juices in the microwave, or in a separate pot on the stove. Shred meat really well with two forks.

Add the meat and its juices to the warm, cooked noodles and stir everything carefully, evenly disturbing the meat. Add more or less meat or juice to get the consistency to your liking, but this amount has worked well for me. Serve and sprinkle each bowl with chopped parsley, if you wish. You can even serve this over mashed potatoes! Yum!
