Simple suppers don't get much better than this easy sausage pasta with, sweet peppers and tasty Italian sausages.


Spicy sausage pasta

Italian sausages

olive oil

red onion,

garlic cloves, crushed

tin chopped tomatoes

red pepper,

½ tsp chilli flakes

oregano

tbsp chopped fresh parsley, optional

Instead of making up a meatball mixture with minced meat or meats, parmesan, garlic and egg, I simply squeeze the stuffing out of about half a kilo of Italian sausages and roll it into cherry tomato-sized balls.  



Shortcut sausage meatballs

450 grams/1lb Italian sausages

garlic oil

spring onions

tbsp white wine

tomatoes

bay leaves

salt and black pepper,

parsley (optional)

Sausage pasta bake is a winner, especially with roasted veggies, cream and Parmesan! This recipe makes a lovely comforting, creamy dinner for the whole family.

You can easily double up this sausage pasta bake recipe and make one for the freezer, it will keep in the freezer for 2 months. Serve with a crisp green salad.

Add a few extras to a ready-made tomato sauce for a wonderfully quick and substantial pasta dish!

Each serving provides 658 kcal, 26g protein, 72g carbohydrate (of which 9g sugars),28g fat (of which 9g saturates), 6g fibre and 1.8g salt.
