Frozen Margarita Recipe

coarse kosher salt, (for rimming glass)

lime wedges, (for rimming glass and garnishing)

tequila

lime juice

triple sec

agave syrup, (or other sweetener to taste)

Run a lime wedge around the rim of 4 glasses. Dip the edges of the glasses in coarse kosher salt.

Add tequila, lime juice, triple sec, agave syrup and ice to a large blender. Blend until slushy. Taste and add more sweetener if desired.

Pour into prepared glasses and serve immediately.

strawberries

ice cubes

cup silver tequila

cup fresh orange juice

cup grand marnier

garnish the rim with sugar or salt (optional)

To a blender add frozen strawberries, ice cubes, tequila, orange juice, grand mariner and lime juice.

Blend until smooth and serve immediately.

Optional: garnish glass rims with salt or sugar

Summer is here and what better way to celebrate than with this delicious frozen margaritas?!

Cointreau

lime juice (from about 2 limes)

Reposado Tequila (we love Exotico)

¼ cup agave nectar

ice (more if needed)

Place first four ingredients in a high powered blender and add 2 cups ice. Blend until smooth. Add more ice if necessary. Enjoy!

Great recipe! Have you ever done them over ice instead of blending? Want to make a big batch for a tall (tube like) dispenser.

Super smooth margarita!  I tweaked the recipe based on what I had available in my house, which is a bit more budget LOL ;)    Here is what I did: 
¼ cup Triple Sec
¼ cup lime juice from a bottle
½ cup Espolon (silver) Tequila
2 oz. Simple Syrup 
2 oz. Orange Juice (no pulp) 
2 cups + 1/8ish cup of crushed ice

My variety tastes good and smooth but not as prominent of a tequila flavor as a Reposado would do , like you recommended-  Only if I had one!! :)

How to Make Frozen Margaritas

Mix up this no-sweat cocktail with our frozen margarita recipe and party for  the rest of the night with your friends and guests. You’ll love the salty and sour kicks of this fun and freshening alcohol mix.

tbsp tequila

lemon juice

tbsp orange liqueur

lime slices

salt

Step 1.1

In a blender, add in the ice, tequila, orange liqueur or triple sec, and lemon or lime juice.

Step 1.2

Blend for two minutes or until the mixture is smooth.

Step 1.3

If desired, add roughly ¼ teaspoon of salt to the rim of a chilled margarita glass by turning the glass over onto a plate of salt.

Step 1.4

Then pour in the frozen mix into the chilled glass.

Step 1.5

Garnish with roughly ¼ ounce of lime slice on the rim, and enjoy!
