Pineapple Gin Punch

pineapple juice

lemon lemon

orange liqueur,

allspice

Champagne or sparkling wine, chilled,

Combine the pineapple juice, lemon juice, gin, orange liqueur and allspice in a pitcher filled with ice. Stir to combine. Pour into ice-filled highball glasses, top with champagne and garnish each with a lemon twist.

So good! I love the citrus in this drink, and glad that the gin pairs well with it. 

Made this last night. Really refreshing and not too sweet. Felt like a should have been on a beach somewhere.

This Raspberry Lime Basil Gin Cocktail is bursting with so much flavor from all the natural and fresh ingredients, simple syrup isn't even needed!

Raspberry Lime Basil Gin Cocktail

raspberries

basil leaves (, chiffonade (cut into thin ribbons))

lime juice

Place raspberries and basil in cocktail shaker and lightly muddle together. Add gin, fresh lime juice, and ice to shaker and shake for 10-15 seconds.

Pour mixed drink in a glass and top with sparkling water or club soda. Garnish with additional limes slices and fresh basil leaves.

Classic Gin Gimlet

Cucumber wheel or lime wedge,

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour in the gin, lime juice and simple syrup. Stir vigorously with a long cocktail spoon until very cold.

Strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass, or strain over a rocks glass filled with ice, depending on preference. Garnish with the cucumber wheel and serve immediately.

This is a great, simple to make, classic cocktail (not sure about the cuke garnish - but adds to the balance. Hey, this is 2018, right?  Why not?)   Fresh lime juice is the way to go. This has perfect balance, nice sweetness and balanced tartness,   My great aunt always had a gin gimlet (made with Rose's) but the fresh lime juice elevates this cocktail to a new level.  As with so many of GZ's cocktails, once you've had this version, you will be disappointed if you order this cocktail out.  

Ginger Cranberry Cocktail (Frozen Vodka or Gin)

Dave Lieberman  - Ginger Cranberry Cocktail (Frozen Vodka or Gin)

For the ginger syrup: Place all syrup ingredients in a saucepan and simmer until sugar dissolves and the ginger is infused in the syrup, about 20 minutes. Strain and allow to cool fully before use.

For the drink: Crush the frozen cranberries in a large glass pitcher. Add the lime juice and their juiced wedges to the pitcher. Pour in the vodka, cranberry juice, and ginger syrup. Put ice in low-ball glasses and fill glasses about 2/3 full. Top off with club soda and garnish with a shaving of fresh ginger.

This is our “go-to” holiday cocktail! The original recipe is delicious, but I have also used frozen raspberries in place of frozen cranberries and raspberry ginger ale instead of club soda! Garnish the rim of the glass with green sugar and you have a very festive beverage! 

Just batched this last night for Thanksgiving today and it's delicious. I used gin, extra ginger, and fresh muddled cranberries. We will be making this one again!

Like this better without the splash of club soda, which made it seem a little watered down. Without the club soda, I could taste the cranberry flavor more. I also used half regular vodka and half orange vodka (just what I had in hand) and I liked the added orange flavor!

This cocktail was a gigantic hit with extended family while making Thanksgiving Dinner!  The only problem I had (and questioned) was muddling frozen cranberries?  Didn't work.  I'm going to try boiling the cranberries in the ginger syrup, which I'm going to make LOTS more of.  This refreshing cocktail was rated "dangerous" by the family, since it does not taste like there is vodka in it...until....  I did freeze the vodka before assembling, also.

I made this for my New Years get together just the other day. I was really concerned because it dawned on me that it was just like a cranberry and vodka and that is one drink that I really dislike. I made it anyway, and once you add the lime juice and ginger syrup, all the flavors come together and it is fantastic! everyone loved it!

Had this at a recent party and WOW!  I'm making it for my New Year's get together tonight.  It is a fantastic drink that pleases most!

Everybody LOVES this recipe and it goes in a flash so now I make enough for 5.5 batches for about 40 people.  No one drinks anything else when I serve this.

My guests and I loved this drink.  I fixed it in a pitcher like he did and everyone thought it was so fancy.  This is worth trying. The only problem I ran into was finding frozen cranberries.  I substituted frozen raspberry's and it worked just as well.

Pink Gin Martini

In a cocktail shaker, combine the ice, gin and vermouth. Shake until chilled, then strain into 2 chilled martini glasses. Squeeze the oils out of each grapefruit rind into the martinis and garnish each glass with a rind. Serve immediately.

Combine the gin, lime juice, simple syrup and mint sprig in a shaker. Add some ice cubes and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled martini glass.

Garnish with one mint leaf, smacked to release the oils, floating on top of the cocktail.

Very well balanced and refreshing summer drink!  Used fresh mint from our garden, and fresh squeezed lime juice.

OMG! Made this tonight for a neighbor as we socially dist­anced and we both loved this drink. My first thought was to make mint juleps with my homegrown mint but she doesn't care for bourbon so I just did a search for gin mint cocktails and found this. For me, this is THE cocktail for Summer 2020! My neighbor said several times that the ratio of ingredients is perfect and I have to agree. BTW, I used Beefeater gin, which is what we had on hand. Thanks for the recipe. 

I’m not a gin drinker so I gave this a try. I liked it a lot. Didn’t find it too sweet, the mint adds a subtle element. I will definitely make it again. 

I had been trying for awhile to recreate this drink from a restaurant in my hometown and was excited to see this featured on the show. Maybe I did something wrong, but it seemed too sweet. Love the show.

simply delicious! I did make it with gin for my husband and with vodka for myself. Both were amazing!

This punch--a spookified version of a classic rickey--is a refreshing drink for kids after trick-or-treating. Add some gin, and it's an equally refreshing after-dark cocktail for adults.

Blueberry Rickety Eyeball Punch

Food Network Kitchens Blueberry Rickety Eyebll Punch

Stick 1 to 2 blueberries, depending on their size, into the cavity of each lychee. Place on a foil-lined baking sheet and freeze, about 1 hour. (Wait until the "eyeballs" thaw a bit before eating, so that you don't choke on them.) Stir together 5 tablespoons of the lychee syrup, the blueberry juice and lime juice in a bowl or pitcher until combined. Stir in the sparkling water and add the lychee eyeballs. If it is a bit tart for your taste, add the remaining tablespoon syrup. Serve in tall glasses over ice, spooning the lychee eyeballs into the glasses as you pour. For a grown-up twist, stir in the gin before adding the sparkling water. Enjoy!

 A real hit for the adults, who drank all the batches I made.  They loved the eyeballs.  The kids ended up having their eyeballs garnish my backup blueberry lemonade.  Fun!<br />   

Vesper Martini

Have a martini glass and bottles of liquor well-chilled in the freezer.

Add 1 large ice cube to a cocktail shaker. Add the vodka, gin and Lillet. Shake well. Rub the lemon twist around the rim of the glass to release the oils, then place in the glass. Strain the martini into the glass.

Combine the Simple Syrup, gin, vermouth and lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into 4 champagne flutes. Top each glass with some champagne and serve with a lemon twist.

Combine the sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook, stirring, until the sugar dissolves. Remove from the heat and let cool completely. Keep covered in the refrigerator up to 1 month.

this is a refreshing drink and i divided it in half.. but i have to be honest i'm not a gin drinker (and i did use Bombay Sapphire) i think i will use vodka next time... you will not be disappointed.

Rosemary Gin Fizz

For the rosemary simple syrup: Combine the sugar, 3/4 cup water and the rosemary sprigs in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring and muddling the rosemary with a wooden spoon, until the sugar has completely dissolved, about 1 minute. Take off the heat and cool to room temperature. Strain into a small container. The syrup can be kept refrigerated in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.

For the rosemary gin fizz: Combine the gin, lemon juice, lime juice and 2 tablespoons simple syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously, then strain into a rocks glass filled with ice. Top off with the seltzer and garnish with the rosemary sprig.

Love the rosemary simple syrup.  It's about time my huge plant starts giving back.

Sparkling Cosmo Punch

Fill a martini pitcher or jar halfway with ice, then stir together the cranberry juice, gin, orange liqueur and lime juice. Strain into another pitcher and keep chilled.

To serve, fill a flute three-quarters of the way with the cranberry base. Top with the cava and drop in an orange garnish.

Everyone loved it! I substituted vodka for the gin and added some lemon slices along with the orange slices, and used triple sec. Delicioso! 

Had to try since both a cosmo &amp; sparkling wine fan. Perfect mix &amp; so festive! Mine was lighter in color than pictures, more pink than red.

This lunch was a hit at our Thanksgiving gathering and it will be a staple at all other gatherings. The only thing I did was cut the cranberry juice by half. It would have been incredibly sweet otherwise. 

This creamy and cool punch -- inspired by a Ramos gin fizz -- is a real knockout, complete with a snowman chilling out in drifts of bubbles. To make it ahead, you can assemble the snowman body in advance and pop it in the freezer, adding the scarf just before serving.

(1 pint) orange sherbet

mini chocolate chips

Confectioners' sugar,

Chill a baking sheet in the freezer for 20 minutes. Scoop the vanilla ice cream into the roundest balls you can make with an ice cream scoop and place on the chilled baking sheet. Scoop one ball of vanilla into a ball twice the size of the others. Scoop the orange sherbet into a ball half the size of the medium vanilla balls, leaving a bit of a ruffle around the bottom (this will become the snowman's hat). Reserve the remaining sherbet for another use. Freeze the balls until solid, about 1 hour, or until ready to serve. Chill a large punch bowl in the freezer until it is very cold, about 30 minutes.

Reserve 1 medium vanilla ice cream ball and pile the rest of the medium balls in the middle of the punch bowl. 

To make the snowman, center the large vanilla ball on top of the snowball pile. Insert 5 chocolate chips in a line down one side of the large ball for buttons (press the pointy tops of the chips into the ball). Top the large ball with the reserved medium ball for the head and press in the 2 remaining chocolate chips for eyes. Add a jelly bean half for a nose. Wrap the candy belt around the neck for a scarf. Top with the orange sherbet ball for a hat. Add the mini marshmallow at the top for a pom-pom. You can assemble the snowman ahead of time and hold the punch bowl in the freezer up to 2 hours if you aren't immediately able to serve.

Add the liquids in this order: Gin, orange liqueur, sparkling wine and seltzer. Sprinkle with the confectioners' sugar for snow. Serve the punch in coupe cocktail glasses (see Cook's Note), scooping an ice cream ball and some punch into each.

Inspired by a Ramos gin fizz, this creamy punch is a real knockout with an adorable snowman chilling out in drifts of bubbles.

A green Bloody Mary or a "Verde Maria", as seen on Food Network's The Kitchen.

Worcestershire sauce

Add the Tomatillo Puree, gin, cucumber juice, lime juice, celery salt, horseradish, hot sauce, Worcestershire and black pepper to a mixing tin, add large ice and shake vigorously. Single-strain over fresh ice into a glass, garnish with celery and serve.

Put the tomatillos on a baking sheet and place under the broiler until roasted and blackened, about 5 minutes. Let cool.

In a blender, combine the tomatillos, pickle brine, cucumber juice, cilantro and salt and blend until completely pureed. Add more cucumber juice or water if the mixture is too thick.

This is a riff on the timeless cocktail, a French 75. Traditionally, this drink uses fresh lemon juice and a dash of simple syrup to dress up gin and Champagne. As homemade limoncello is all about the balance of tart, bright lemon with the sweetness of simple syrup, it makes for the perfect base for this drink. I take it for an Italian spin by using prosecco instead of Champagne. This cocktail is a light and refreshing start to any meal!

Italian 75

1 1/2 ounces chilled limoncello or Homemade Limoncello (recipe follows)

1/2 ounce gin

prosecco

lemon twist,

organic lemons, thoroughly washed and dried (see Cook's Note)

80-proof vodka,

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour the limoncello and gin over the ice. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Strain and pour into a chilled martini glass. Top with the prosecco. Garnish with the lemon twist and serve.

Zest just the yellow portion of the lemon peels with a rasp grater, avoiding any of the bitter white pith. You should have about 1/4 cup zest. Transfer the zest to a jar or other airtight container. Add the vodka, seal and shake to combine. Set aside in a cool, dark place for at least 2 weeks.

Strain the infused vodka through a fine-mesh sieve into a medium bowl. You may need to line the sieve with a coffee filter to catch all of the zest. Discard the zest. 

If making your own simple syrup, combine the sugar with 3/4 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat and cook, whisking occasionally, until the sugar is fully dissolved, about 3 minutes. Set aside to cool completely.  

Combine 3/4 cup of the simple syrup (or more, if desired) with the infused vodka. Store in an airtight bottle in the freezer for up to 6 months. Makes about 3 cups. 

I am a Prosecco kinda gal! &amp; this is a perfect twist to it!

Anything with Limoncello is a win win! This is such a cool spinoff, thanks for the idea! 

Mimosa 75

gin (preferably Plymouth)

Grated zest and juice of 2 tangerines

honey

dry champagne

Combine the gin, lemon juice, tangerine juice and honey in a cocktail shaker or any container with a fitted lid; cover and shake. 

Put the sugar on a small plate and sprinkle the lemon and tangerine zests on top. Rub the rims of 6 champagne glasses with the lemon wedge, then gently roll in the zesty sugar. 

Divide the gin-citrus mixture among 6 glasses and top with the champagne.
