Healthy Hot Chocolate

almond milk ((dairy, almond, coconut milk all will work))

maple syrup

In a sauce pot whisk together milk, cocoa powder and maple syrup vigorously until combined.

Heat over medium high heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Once warm - pour into mug and enjoy!

Healthy Hot Chocolate (+ veggies)

milk of choice

spinach (or

maple syrup (or to taste)

tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Combine milk, spinach, cocoa powder, and maple syrup in a blender. Run until spinach is completely pureed and there are no visible bits.

Pour contents of blender into a medium saucepan and add chocolate chips (if using)

Stir with a whisk over medium-low heat until everything is combined, chocolate chips are melted and hot chocolate is warm.

Taste. Add more maple syrup or chocolate chips if desired.

Enjoy warm and often! Top with marshmallows or whipped cream if desired

This is a more sophisticated tasting hot chocolate but also one that is more filling with both performance fats (courtesy of the coconut milk and the quality chocolate) and protein. It&#39;s also super easy to make.&amp;nbsp;

light coconut milk

scoop Bone Broth Protein Chocolate (or Multi Collagen Protein Chocolate)

raw cacao powder

vanilla extract

coconut cream (optional)

cinnamon (optional)

In a medium pot, add in coconut milk, dark chocolate bar, bone broth powder, raw cacao powder, maple syrup and vanilla.

Turn heat up to medium-low and let mixture melt.

Whisk together hot cocoa mixture until all is melted and well-combined.

Pour in two mugs and top with whipped coconut cream, if you desire. Add a dash of cinnamon to the top.

This Vegan Hot Chocolate Mix is rich, creamy, and SO easy to make with only 3 main ingredients! Simply add water or non-dairy milk, stir, and enjoy.

Vegan Hot Chocolate Mix

(85 g) unsweetened cocoa powder

(70 g) coconut

salt

vanilla

dry hot cocoa mix, above

creamy non-dairy milk*

For the dry mix: add all ingredients to a high speed blender and process on high for 30 seconds, until smooth and fluffy. Transfer the mixture to a sealable glass jar and store at room temperature for up to two months. 

For one serving of cocoa

add 2 to 3 tablespoons of the dry mix to the bottom of a mug, depending on how rich you like your cocoa. Warm 1 cup of nondairy milk on the stovetop or in the microwave, then pour over the cocoa mix. Stir well with a spoon or handheld milk frother, then top as desired and enjoy warm.

This was really yummy! I feel like the longer I let it sit, the creamier it got! One of the best hot chocolates I’ve had, and it was so easy and cheap!

My favorite delicious healthy hot chocolate recipe that&#039;s both vegan and dairy free! This healthy hot chocolate recipe is made with a mix of both coconut milk + almond milk and naturally sweetened with pure maple syrup. The perfect nightcap during the chilly winter months!

light coconut milk (from the can)

almond milk

unsweetened cocoa powder (I use Ghirardelli’s 100% unsweetened cocoa powder)

sea salt

Add all ingredients to a small pot and place over medium low heat. Whisk vigorously to combine and to get rid of any lumps of cocoa. Do NOT let the hot chocolate boil or you risk burning the almond milk, which can turn the flavor into something you do not want. Simply warm in the pot until steamy, about 3-5 minutes.

Once hot chocolate is hot, remove from heat and pour into 2 mugs. Top with whipped cream, dairy free whipped cream, marshmallows or vegan marshmallows. Chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder on top are fun too! Enjoy!

Gelatin is not vegan… weird for this to be labeled as vegan and to include a non-vegan ingredient…
