<p>These 5-ingredient Protein Bars are super easy, packed with good nutrition, and perfect for breakfast or snack on the run. Plus, they are a no-bake recipe! This one's a keeper.</p>

5-Ingredient Protein Bars (No-Bake!)

milk (I use whole)

peanut butter

vanilla or chocolate whey protein powder

old fashioned rolled oats, uncooked

(Optional: Melted dark chocolate for drizzling)

5-Ingredient Protein Bars (no-bake!)

In a medium heavy pot, combine milk, peanut butter, and desired amount of honey over low heat. Stir just until all ingredients are well combined and warmed through. Add protein powder and oats. Stir to combine well. (If mixture is too thick to stir, simply add a bit more milk.)

Lightly grease an 8&#215;8 pan. Press mixture evenly into pan, using enough pressure to compress mixture into desired bar thickness.

Cut into squares. If desired, drizzle with melted chocolate and let cool. Wrap in airtight container and store at moderate room temp for several days, or chilled in fridge for a week. 

You had me at no bake. Since I promised myself to pick healthier food this year, I am going to make these protein bars to snack on instead of chips. Thanks for the recipe. I will make some this weekend.

Would like to know what can I replace the oats with for easy digestion.  Also, can maple syrup replace honey?

I tried this yesterday and they taste very good!  Unfortunately I think I put a little bit too much milk when I was mixing it (I don't like my oak too dry) so the final bar is a bit soft.  Can you share a picture of the mixture's consistency so that I can roughly tell if mine have enough water?

Maple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal

Bake a batch of these soft and chewy Banana Protein Baked Oatmeal Bars with all the sweet flavor of protein bar without fat or added sugar! The perfect high protein breakfast, snack or post workout meal.

Banana Protein Baked Oatmeal Bars

Ripe Banana (½ cup Mashed, 120 grams)

Almond Milk (or other)

Egg Whites

½ tsp Vanilla Extract (if protein powder is not Vanilla)

Rolled Oats (about 112 grams)

1½ scoop Protein Powder (about ½ cup, 45 grams)

tsp Baking Powder

½ tsp Cinnamon (Ground)

Preheat oven to 350°F, and grease and line a 7" x 5" oven-safe dish or loaf pan with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk mashed banana, almond milk, egg whites and vanilla.

In a medium bowl mix together oats, protein powder, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.

Add dry ingredients to wet, and whisk lightly to combine.

Pour mixture into prepared dish and flatten with back of a spoon or spatula.

Bake for 25 minutes until center is set.

Let cool for about 10-15 minutes before removing from pan.

Cool completely, slice, and enjoy!

No-Bake Oatmeal Protein Bars

Place the almond butter and honey in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds (or until softened). Mix together.&nbsp;

Mix the rolled oats and protein powder together in a mixing bowl. Add in the softened almond butter and honey. Mix thoroughly and evenly.

Mix in the chocolate chips. Place the entire mixture in an 8x8 cake pan covered with wax paper. Freeze for about 20-30 minutes.

Cut into small bars, package in sandwich bags, and take on-the-go!

No Bake Oatmeal Protein Bars

These healthy and easy to put together protein bars are the perfect snack to start the year off right! It&#039;s so simple and delicious, you will never buy them from the store again! 

Homemade Protein Bars

flax seed

rolled oats, slightly ground (oat flour works too)

vanilla protein powder (chocolate can be used)

salt

tsp vanilla extract

mini chocolate chips

Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper and set it aside.

In a medium bowl, add all of the ingredients except the chocolate chips.  Stir and mix ingredients until combined.  The mixture should resemble cookie dough.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Using your hands, press the mixture into the prepared pan.

Place in the refrigerator to chill for 20 minutes to make cutting easier.  You can speed up this process by placing the bars in the freezer for 10 minutes.

Once the bars are chilled and hold their form, use the parchment paper to lift the bars out of the pan.  Evenly cut into 10 bars.  Enjoy!

Line an 8-inch square baking pan or standard 9-inch x 5-inch loaf pan with unbleached parchment paper and set it aside.

Place the oats in a food processor fitted with the steel blade and process until ground into a flour. Add the protein powder, dates, maple syrup, vanilla, salt, 1/4 cup milk and (optional) melted unsweetened chocolate.

Process until the mixture is well-combined and is tacky (but not sticky) to the touch. Add more milk by the teaspoonful and process, only as necessary for the mixture to reach the proper consistency.

If you opt not to use the melted unsweetened chocolate, you will have to add more milk, and the bars will not hold together as firmly when shaped.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press firmly into an even layer, smoothing the top as much as possible.

Cover with parchment and place in the refrigerator or freezer to chill until firm (about 1 hour in the refrigerator, or 20 minutes in the freezer). Remove the bars from the pan and slice into 10 or 12 equal-sized rectangular bars.

Dip in the optional melted bittersweet chocolate to coat and allow to sit at room temperature until set.

Wrap the bars individually in waxed paper, and store in the refrigerator.

To make the date version

Place the oats in a food processor fitted with the steel blade and process until ground into a flour. Add the protein powder, cocoa powder (or more protein powder), nut butter, maple syrup, salt, 1/4 cup milk and melted unsweetened chocolate (or more nut butter and maple syrup).

Dip in the optional melted bittersweet chocolate to coat or simply drizzle some melted chocolate over the top, and allow to sit at room temperature until set.

coconut oil (26 g; melted; refined recommended)

natural almond butter (118 g; see note 3)

honey (74 g; see note 4)

water (*if needed)

sea salt (for sprinkling)

Dry ingredients

Pulse dry ingredients- In a 7 cup or larger food processor fitted with a steel S blade, add the protein powder, cinnamon and rolled oats. Blend for 1 minute, until oats are powdery and fine, as pictured above.

Wet ingredients

Add wet ingredients- Add melted coconut oil, almond butter, honey and vanilla extract to the food processor. Blend for another 30 seconds, until mixture is well combined.

Check

Check consistency- Fold some of the mixture in your hand; it should form a ball and not crumble. If the mixture is crumbly, add water and process again.

Press

Press &amp; chill- Line a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan with parchment, and press the protein bar mixture into the pan until smooth across the top. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt, then chill for 2 hours (or freeze for 30 minutes).

Slice- Pull the bars out of the loaf pan, and cut into 8 squares.

These Low Fat Peanut Butter Protein Cereal Bars made with powdered peanut butter for all the PB flavor without the fat. Sweetened with protein powder and sugar-free syrup, and made with oats, puffed rice and cheerios cereal, this recipe makes delicious and healthy cereal breakfast bars!

Low Fat Peanut Butter Protein Cereal Bars

Instant (or Rolled) Oats (45 grams)

Puffed Brown Rice Cereal (9 grams)

Cheerios (14 grams)

½ scoop Vanilla Protein Powder (15 grams, 2-3 Tbsp)

Peanut Butter Powder (64 grams)

Tbsp Almond Milk

Tbsp Maple Syrup (Sugar-free recommended)

Line a 8½ x 4½” loaf pan with parchment paper (or use moulds or a tray). Leave an overhang to lift out later.

In a large bowl, combine oats, brown rice puffs cereal, cheerios and protein powder.

In a small bowl, stir together peanut butter powder and almond milk until completely smooth.

Pour in peanut butter mixture and maple syrup into cereal. Use a spatula and fold to combine. It may take some time, but you will get a tough mixture that holds together.

Transfer to prepared loaf pan, spread and press down to smoothen.

Place pan in the fridge for about 15 minutes to harden.

Lift out of pan using lining, place on cutting board and using a sharp knife, slice into 8 bars.

Caramel Apple Protein Bars - Triple Protein, No Sugar, Magic!

Oat Flour (45 grams)

Tbsp Coconut Flour (21 grams)

Tbsp Unflavored Protein Powder (11 grams, see post for subs)

Tbsp Vanilla Protein Powder (11 grams)

tsp Maple Syrup (Sugar-free recommended below, 10 milliliters)

Unsweetened Almond Milk (60 milliliters)

Tbsp (Caramel Apple flavored) Almond Butter (42 grams, see post for rec/subs)

Tbsp Peanut Butter Powder (18, see post for subs)

Tbsp Water (30 milliliters)

Chopped Apples (94 grams)

tsp Vanilla Protein Powder (3 grams)

tsp Zero Calorie 1:1 Brown Sugar Substitute (or regular Brown/Coconut Sugar)

Cinnamon

tsp Butter

Tbsp White Chocolate Chips (Sugar-free recommended, 14 grams)

⅛ tsp Coconut Oil

Line a 7x5” pan or loaf pan with parchment paper; leave an overhang to lift out later.

In a bowl combine oat flour, coconut flour, unflavored protein powder and vanilla protein powder.

Add in maple syrup and milk and mix. Mixture will be like a dough.Add more milk if too dry, coconut flour if too wet.

Transfer to prepared pan and press down.

Base:

In the same bowl, stir almond butter, peanut butter powder, protein powder, maple syrup and water.Mixture should be thick but smooth and spreadable.

Spread on top of base and use back of spoon/spatula or fingers to smoothen.

Transfer to freezer to cool about 5 minutes.

Protein Caramel:

Combine chopped apples, protein powder, sweetener and cinnamon in a bowl, and toss.

Heat small skillet over medium heat, place butter and melt.

Add cinnamon sugar apples and cook about 3-4 min until slightly caramelized (shaking halfway).Transfer to plate and let cool 5 min.

Spread on caramel layer, press down, and place pan in freezer to cool about 15 minutes.

Protein Cinnamon Sugar Apples:

Lift layers out of pan, place on cutting board and using a warmed sharp knife, slice into 6 bars.

Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in a shallow bowl and microwave for about 30 seconds - at 15 second intervals - until it’s completely melted.

Let cool about 5 mins then drizzle.

Chocolate Topping:

An easy way to make homemade protein bars with dates, nuts, egg white protein and your favorite mix-ins customizing your flavors. Think copycat RX BAR but homemade!

If dates or dried mango and pineapple are super dry, soak in warm water for 3-4 minutes then drain well.

Line a 8×8 pan with parchment paper (or use silicone pan), set aside.

In the bowl of your food processor with S blade, process almonds, cashews, and egg white protein until nuts have broken down into small pieces.

Add in pitted dates, dried mango and pineapple; process until combined–the mixture will look a little dry. With the motor running about 1 tablespoon of water at a time until mixture is sticky and everything comes together. Depending on if your dates were juicy or dry, you may need less or more water.

Once mixtures has come together and is sticky, transfer to lined 8×8 pan or silicone pan. Use slightly wet hands to press evenly into pan. I use his fun little pastry roller to make it extra flat.

Place pan in fridge for 1 hour, or freezer for 30 minutes before cutting into bars. Use large sharp knife and cutting board, cutting bars into 12 or 16 squares. 

Pineapple Mango

In the bowl of your food processor with S blade, process cashews, walnuts and egg white protein until nuts have broken down into small pieces.

Add in pitted dates and dried blueberries; process until combined–the mixture will look a little dry. With the motor running about 1 tablespoon of water at a time until mixture is sticky and everything comes together. Depending on if your dates were juicy or dry, you may need less or more water.

Once mixtures has come together and is sticky, transfer to lined 8×8 pan or silicone pan. Use slightly wet hands to press evenly into pan. 

Place pan in fridge for 1 hour, or freezer for 30 minutes before cutting into bars. Use large sharp knife and cutting board, cutting bars into 12 or 16 squares, or roll into balls. 

Blueberry

In the bowl of your food processor with S blade, process walnuts, cashews and egg white protein until nuts have broken down into small pieces.

Add in cacao powder, pitted dates and mint extract; process until combined.  With the motor running add about 1 tablespoon of water at a time until mixture is sticky and everything comes together. Depending on if your dates were juicy or dry, you may need less or more water.

Transfer to lined 8×8 pan or silicone pan. Use slightly wet hands to press evenly into pan or use pastry roller.

Place pan in fridge for 1 hour, or freezer for 30 minutes before cutting into bars. Use large sharp knife and cutting board, cutting bars into 12 or 16 squares. Or try rolling into tablespoon size balls.

Mint Chocolate

In the bowl of your food processor with S blade, process peanuts and egg white protein until nuts have broken down. It won&#8217;t take much because the peanuts are already fairly small.

Add in pitted dates; process until combined–the mixture will look a little dry. With the motor running about 1 tablespoon of water at a time until mixture is sticky and everything comes together. Depending on if your dates were juicy or dry, you may need less or more water. I needed 5 tablespoons water here. Once the mixture has come together, remove the S blade and fold in chocolate chips. If using regular-sized morsels, feel free to pulse in. 

Transfer to lined 8×8 pan or silicone pan. Use slightly wet hands to press evenly into pan. 

Place pan in fridge for 1 hour, or freezer for 30 minutes before cutting into bars. Use large sharp knife and cutting board, cutting bars into 12 or 16 squares. Or roll into balls, press into cookie shape, etc.
