Easy Instant Pot Spaghetti is one of the best Instant Pot recipes for a fast family dinner. Everything cooks together in one pot: meat, pasta and sauce!

Instant Pot Spaghetti

turkey beef

Italian seasoning

Turn Instant Pot to saute mode and add the ground turkey or ground beef. Cook, crumbling with a spoon, until browned. Turn Instant Pot off.

Add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, pepper and water. Stir until well combined, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot.

Break the spaghetti noodles in half and lay them in the pot in about 6 parts, with each part laying in a different direction (this is to prevent the spaghetti from sticking together).

Pour the marinara sauce over the spaghetti. Do not stir.

Seal Instant Pot lid and turn the steam valve to the sealing position.

Cook at high pressure/manual for 5 minutes if using whole wheat spaghetti with a package cook time of 7-9 minutes. Cook at high pressure/manual for 7 minutes if using regular white spaghetti with a package cook time of 9-11 minutes.

Do a quick release (carefully turn the steam valve to the venting position using the handle of a long spoon and wait for all of the steam to escape and the pin to drop down).

Remove lid, stir. You will see some liquid in the pot. This will absorb after just a few minutes. Wait for 3-5 minutes and then serve.

Instant Pot Spaghetti Recipe

Start by heating up oil on the saute setting. Add garlic and stir. Add onion powder and Italian seasoning. Stir and saute for 1 minute.

Add ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon out and discard any grease (this depends on the type of beef you use).

Add 1/2 cup of water and scrape any bits from the bottom of the pot. This step is important as it will prevent the dish from burning during pressure cooking.

Grab a handful of spaghetti noodles at a time, break in half and arrange in a criss-cross pattern on top of the meat. (see photo in post for visual reference). Add remaining water to the pot.

Pour diced tomatoes (with liquid) and crushed tomatoes (or pasta sauce) over noodles. Do your best to keep it in the center, away from the edges of the pot. Close the lid, set the valve to sealing.

Set timer to 7 minutes and make sure the IP is set to cook on HIGH pressure. It will take about 10 minutes for the Instant Pot to come to pressure, then it will start the countdown.

Once the timer is done, wait 1 minute, then switch the valve to venting to release pressure.

Open the lid away from your face, as there will be leftover steam in the pot. The dish will look like it has too much liquid, but all you need to do is stir well several time and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes before serving. It will thicken up.

INSTANT POT SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS

lb Italian style frozen meatballs

spaghetti noodles (1/2 box) ((broken in half))

beef broth

(24 oz) jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce

Add frozen meatballs to the bottom of a 6-quart Instant Pot electric pressure cooker.

Top meatballs with broken spaghetti noodles, spread them out well, otherwise they will stick together while cooking.

Pour in water and broth then top with pasta sauce. Don&#x27;t stir.

Cook on manual pressure for 9 minutes then quick release.

Remove lid and stir and let sit for a bit to thicken up as it will look soupy at first. Don’t be alarmed! Allow it to sit, with the top off, stirring occasionally and it will slowly begin to thicken.

Pressure Cooker Spaghetti is meaty, saucy, and sure to be a dinner favorite. Ready in minutes in the pressure cooker, it&#039;s the perfect pasta dish for busy weeknights.

(14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes

water or beef broth

Using the SAUTE feature on NORMAL, heat the olive oil.&nbsp;

Add the Italian sausage, breaking apart with the back of the spoon. Cook, stirring regularly until it loses its pink and begins to render fat.

Add onions, sweet peppers, and garlic and cook until softened.

Drain the meat of any excess grease.

Add Italian seasoning and salt and pepper to taste.

Cut the uncooked spaghetti in half and place them in the pot on top of the meat in a crisscross pattern.

Add Spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, and water.&nbsp;Do NOT stir. Push the noodles down gently so they’ll be submerged in the liquid.

Close the lid of the Instant Pot, making sure the valve is on SEALING position. Cook on HIGH pressure for 7 minutes.&nbsp;When the 7 minutes and the pressure cooker beeps, do a QUICK release.

Press CANCEL to turn off the Instant Pot and open lid. Let noodles stand for about 1 to 2 minutes and stir to distribute sauce.

Ladle on serving plates and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve hot.

In a medium bowl, stir together the water, tomatoes and their juices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, oregano, kosher salt, spinach, and whole basil leaves. 

Ladle just enough of the tomato mixture into the Instant Pot to cover the bottom.

Break the spaghetti noodles in half. Working in batches, add the noodles to the Instant Pot in a fan shape so that they stack on each other, making as much space between the noodles as possible (if the noodles are directly next to each other they clump up &#8212; it doesn’t have to be perfect, just try to fan them out to make space).

Cook on high pressure for 6 minutes

 Press the Pressure Cook button, making sure the “High Pressure” setting is selected, and set the time. Note that it takes about 10 minutes for the pot to “preheat” and come up to pressure before it starts cooking. (During cooking, avoid touching the metal part of the lid.)

Quick release: Vent the remaining steam from the Instant Pot by moving the pressure release handle to “Venting”, covering your hand with a towel or hot pad. Never put your hands or face near the vent when releasing steam. Open the pressure cooker lid.

Open the lid and stir, removing any clumps. Then remove the pot from the Instant Pot and allow to cool for 3 to 5 minutes for the sauce to thicken slightly. The sauce will thicken even more as it cools. If using, stir in goat cheese for a creamy sauce. Ladle into bowls and serve.

(28 ounces) whole peeled tomatoes

(180 grams) onion (, diced (or 1 teaspoon onion powder))

(15 grams) garlic (, minced (or ½ teaspoon garlic powder))

(1.8 grams) dried basil

(45 milliliters) regular soy sauce

For Dump-and-Go-Meal

*For Dump-and-Go-Meal: skip the browning, sauteing, and deglazing steps below. Make sure to break the ground beef into smaller chunks, then layer the seasoned ground beef chunks, onions, garlic, dried herbs at the bottom of the pot.

Brown Ground Beef

Brown Ground Beef in Instant Pot (Flavor Booster): Heat up Instant Pot using &quot;Sauté More&quot; function. Wait until it says &quot;HOT&quot; (~8 mins). Add 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil in Instant Pot (ensure the oil is coated over the whole bottom).Add in 1lb (454g) ground beef, then season generously with salt &amp; ground black pepper. Saute Onion &amp; Herbs: Add in diced onions, minced garlic, 1.5 tsp (1.8g) dried basil, and 1.5 tsp (1.2g) dried oregano, then saute for another 2 minutes.

Deglaze Instant Pot

Deglaze Instant Pot: Pour 1 cup (250ml) unsalted chicken stock in Instant Pot, then deglaze by scrubbing all the flavorful brown bits off the bottom with a wooden spoon. Give it a quick mix.

Pressure Cook Spaghetti

Pressure Cook Spaghetti: Add in 3 tbsp (45ml) regular soy sauce, 3 cups (750ml) unsalted chicken stock. Break the 1 lb (454g) spaghetti in half, then add spaghetti in Instant Pot. *Pro Tip: Ensure all spaghetti are soaked in the liquid (not clumped together). Layer 1 large can (28oz) whole peeled tomatoes or Marinara sauce on top. Do not mix. With Venting Knob in Venting Position, close the lid, then turn Venting Knob to Sealing Position. Pressure Cook at High Pressure for 3 minutes + Natural Release for 5 minutes. Release remaining pressure, then open the lid.

Thicken &amp; Season

Thicken &amp; Season: The spaghetti sauce will look liquidy at first, and the spaghetti is about 85% - 90% cooked. Use the &quot;Saute More&quot; function (press &quot;Cancel&quot; and &quot;Saute&quot;) to bring the content back to a simmer. With a wooden spoon, break down the tomatoes, then stir a few minutes to fully cook the spaghetti and thicken the sauce. Taste and season with roughly 3 - 4 large pinches of salt. Turn off the Instant Pot.

Serve

Serve: Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese, then serve this yummy spaghetti. Enjoy!~

Creamy instant pot pasta in a delicious roasted red pepper and sundried tomato sauce perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Roasted red peppers

tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Switch on the saute mode in your instant pot. Add a tbsp of olive oil and add the onions and garlic. Saute until the onions turn translucent.

Now remove 3/4th of the onion and garlic mixture and add it to a food processor along with the roasted red peppers and sun dried tomatoes.

Make a puree of the above ingredients. Set it aside.

Break the spaghetti pasta in half and add it to the instant pot along with the remaining onions and garlic.

Add the vegetable broth, water, and make sure the pasta is submerged in the liquid.

Now add the pureed roasted peppers and sundried tomatoes on top of the pasta and water.

Add the salt and pepper needed for the pasta and close the lid.

Cook for 1 minute less than 1/2 the amount of time it says to cook the pasta in the pasta box. For eg if your box says to cook the pasta for 10 minutes, you will cook it for 4 minutes.

Release pressure immediately.

Stir in cheese and cream. Serve hot.

Saute the onions and garlic in a tbsp of olive oil until translucent. Remove 3/4 of the onion garlci mixture and puree it along with the roasted red peppers and sundried tomatoes to a smooth puree.

Cook pasta as per package instructions.

Add the cooked pasta to the remaining cooked onions and garlic. Add the roasted pepper and sundried tomato puree to the pasta, vegetable broth or reserve pasta water as needed (Dont add the amount mentioned in the recipe as you aren&#039;t cooking the pasta in the broth) and cook for a minute or so and stir until everything is well combined. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Stir in the cream, cheese and mix.

Serve hot.
