DASH MINI WAFFLE MAKER

BELGIAN WAFFLE MAKER

Lightly coat your waffle maker with cooking spray or ghee and let it heat up on high.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, almond flour, garlic powder and baking powder. Stir in cheese until combined.

IF USING A BELGIAN WAFFLE MAKER: Pour half of the waffle batter into the middle of your waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until crispy, flip and cook again as necessary.IF USING A DASH MINI WAFFLE MAKER: Pour 1/4 cup of the waffle batter into the middle of your waffle iron and close the lid. Cook until crispy, flip and cook again as necessary. Repeat with remaining batter

Carefully transfer to plate and add favorite sandwich fillings.

Not only are these cauliflower waffles from Delish.com super good, they're also low carb.

Cauliflower Waffles

c. cauliflower, grated

c. mozzarella

c. Parmesan

cornstarch

paprika

kosher salt

black pepper

avocado, mashed

lemon

By itself, this dish is a bit bland—but the consistency turned out for me. I used two cups of frozen/thawed riced cauliflower and added a bit more corn starch. Used plenty of Pam spray on the waffle iron and had no issues getting them out! We drizzled Agave Nectar mixed with Cayenne pepper on top for some flavor.

Delicious! Mine held together fine if you wait the 6 minutes to open the iron. I used coconut oil spray on the iron. Nothing stuck.

It was perfect!! I have a square waffle maker and this recipe mad the perfect amount for 2 people. I think a BLT would have been better than one fried egg, but the fried egg was sooo good!
You can also use sour cream as dip!

The recipe is tasty, but I had to use my pizzelle press to be able to get them out. My regular waffle iron made a mess even after generous amounts of coconut out. The pizzelle press turns them into something more tortilla chip like.

These Cauliflower Waffles Are SUPER Versatile

Waffles! They don't always have to be a sinful treat. Try this low carb high protein waffle recipe which you can enjoy for breakfast, dessert or as a snack! It is gluten free and sugar free too!

Low Carb High Protein Waffles - GF

lupin flour (1 cup)

protein powder

tsp baking powder

tsp vanilla extract

tsp salt

unsweetened milk (1 cup)

tbsp sugar free sweetener (monk fruit erythritol)

butter

cinnamon powder (optional)

strawberries

Whipped cream

Grab a large bowl and make sure it is clean and grease free.

Separate 2 egg whites into the large bowl, and 2 egg yolks in a smaller bowl. Pop the egg white bowl in the freezer for about 15 mins.

Separate eggs

Add butter, milk and vanilla extract into the bowl with 2 egg yolks.

Add sifted flour, protein powder, baking powder and cinnamon powder to the bowl and mix well. Don't overmix it.

Prepare flour mixture

Now beat the egg white mixture with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 30 secs until it turns frothy.

Then slowly add your sweetener in thirds and turn on your electric mixer to the highest speed.

Beat the egg whites until it's smooth and glossy. Continue to beat until stiff peaks form. It will take about 3 minutes. Make sure to not overbeat it.

Now fold the meringue into the flour mixture in thirds. Mix well but do not overmix it

Grease your waffle maker/griddle with some oil.

Follow the instructions of your waffle maker. Adjust your waffle maker based on how brown and crispy you want your waffles to be.

Wait for it to be preheated then add one scoop of the batter to each slot of your waffle maker. If you have a small waffle maker, then make one at a time. Waffles are tasty even when they're cooled.

It takes about 4 mins for my waffle maker and it's done!

Add your favourite toppings, fruits and cream. Dust it with some powdered sugar-free sweetener and enjoy!

Making waffles

These delicious low carb coconut flour Belgian waffles are very close to the real thing and they are gluten free. Just mix up the ingredients in a blender.

Paleo Coconut Flour Waffles - Belgian Style

eggs (see note)

SweetLeaf stevia drops (optional, or 2 packets sweetener)

salt

coconut flour (33 grams)

In a blender, mix the butter and eggs until combined thoroughly.

Add the stevia, salt and baking powder and mix to combine.

Mix in the coconut flour until completely combined without any lumps. Let the batter sit for at least five minutes so it can thicken.

May add in a little water if desired to thin the batter.

Cook according to waffle maker instructions.

Keto Birthday Cake Chaffle

cream cheese

heavy whipping cream

monk fruit

vanilla

cake batter extract

unsalted butter, softened

Preheat

Preheat waffle maker to medium high heat.

Whisky it

Whisk together all the chaffle ingredients - egg, cream cheese, almond flour, baking powder, heavy cream, monk fruit, vanilla and cake batter extract.

Pour batter

Pour 1/3 of the chaffle mixture into the center of the waffle iron. Close the waffle maker and let cook for 3 minutes or until waffle set. You want this chaffle to be spongy and not crisp.

Remove & repeat

Remove chaffle from the waffle maker and repeat with remaining batter until you have three cake chaffles.

Make the frosting

While your chaffles are cooling, make the frosting. Beat the butter together in a small bowl. The longer you cream the butter, the more lighter in color it gets. Mix together butter, powdered erythritol, vanilla. Slowly add in heavy cream until you reach your desired frosting consistency.

Frost it

Layer your chaffle cake. Place down one chaffle and spread frosting on top. Lay down a second chaffle on the frosting and frost it's top, lay down the third chaffle. Frost the top and the sides of all chaffles.

Mix it

Low Carb Waffles

tbsp coconut flour

granulated sweetener (or more, to taste)

almond milk

butter (unsalted and melted, 112 grams)

cinnamon ((optional))

Separate the eggs. Whisk the egg whites until they are firm and form stiff peaks.

In a second bowl, mix the egg yolks, coconut flour, sweetener and baking powder with an electric mixer until smooth.

Add the melted butter, almond milk and vanilla and mix until well-combined.

Gently fold spoons of the whisked egg whites into the yolk mixture. Try to keep as much of the air and fluffiness as possible.

Preheat the waffle maker and grease it well with butter. Place enough of the waffle mixture into the warm waffle maker to make one waffle. Cook until golden.

Repeat until all the mixture has been used. Re-grease the waffle maker between waffles.

I'm new to low carb and have been struggling to adjust. This recipe is really great and makes me feel like I can still have some treats! I made a blueberry couli with monk fruit sweetener to go with them and they were delicious.

I just made these waffles again for the first time since going back on keto after over a year off. I remembered them being good, but I forgot just how good! They are absolutely amazing! I use Maple Grove Farms sugar- free maple syrup which is our favorite (and we’ve tried many).  I have your recipe bookmarked on my iPad under “Very Best Low Carb Recipes.”  It may just be the BEST low carb recipe (for anything) that I have ever come across.
