Miso glazed salmon recipe with soba noodle

Miso Glazed Salmon

Salmon fillets (*1)

salt

tbsp miso (white or awase *2)

tbsp sugar

mirin (*3)

tbsp sake (*4)

sesame seeds and chopped green shallots to garnish

Sprinkle salt over the salmon fillets evenly and cover with cling wrap to leave for 15 minutes.

Wipe excess moisture off the salmon with kitchen paper towel.

Mix the miso, sugar, mirin, and sake all together and pour them in a ziplock bag.

Place two salmon fillets in the bag. Zip the bag and coat the salmon with miso marinade from outside of the bag with your hand.

Leave the marinade for 7-8 hours overnight in refrigerator.

Remove the excess miso marinade with kitchen paper towel carefully.

Place the salmon on a baking sheet lined oven tray. *5

Grill/Broil the salmon for about 6 minutes under 410°F(210°C) on the bottom row in the oven. *6 *7

Turn the salmon over once and cook another 6 minutes in the oven.

Turn it back and glaze with miso marinade with a brush and put the tray back to the oven for one minute.

Serve the glazed salmon on top of the soba noodles or bed of rice.  *8

Garnish with roasted sesame seeds and finely chopped green shallots.

Quick and Easy Miso Glazed Salmon

Sheet pan meal with salmon, eggplant, and broccolini coated in a gingery miso glaze. An easy, satisfying weeknight dinner with just 10 ingredients required!

Miso-Glazed Salmon &amp; Veggie Sheet Pan Dinner

eggplant,

Tbsp white miso paste

Tbsp tamari

Tbsp rice vinegar

ginger

Tbsp chili garlic sauce

tsp honey or maple syrup

(~4-oz. each) skin-on salmon filets

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (218 C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place the cubed eggplant on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with 1-2 tablespoons (15-30 ml) oil (see notes if using broccoli instead of broccolini). Toss to coat. Arrange in a single layer and bake for 15 minutes.

In a small bowl, combine miso paste, tamari or soy sauce, rice vinegar, ginger, chili garlic sauce (or garlic + red pepper flakes), and honey or maple syrup. Whisk until no clumps remain. Set aside.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven, flip the eggplant to ensure even cooking, and push it to one side of the pan. Add the broccolini in the empty space and toss it with the remaining 1 tablespoon (15 ml) oil. Return the baking sheet to the oven for 5 minutes. At this point, the eggplant should be lightly browned on the edges and beginning to soften.

Next, arrange the salmon filets skin side down on the baking sheet in between the eggplant and the broccolini. Brush the salmon with half of the miso sauce, then drizzle (or spoon) the rest over the veggies and toss them with a large spoon or spatula to coat.

Return to the oven for 10-14 minutes, until the internal temperature of the salmon reaches 145 F (63 C). Remove from the oven and serve warm.

Leftovers will keep for 1-2 days in the refrigerator. Not freezer friendly.

8-Minute Broiled Miso Salmon! (Tender & Flaky)

Tbsp low-sodium soy sauce (or tamari, if gluten-free)

Tbsp sesame oil

tsp ginger paste (or fresh chopped ginger)

scallions, black and white sesame seeds, and cilantro

Make the marinade. Place ¼ cup white miso paste, ¼ cup granulated sugar, ¼ cup mirin, 2 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp sesame oil, and 2 tsp ginger paste in a mixing bowl, then whisk well.

Marinate the salmon. Place salmon fillets in a large tupperware or in a large Ziplock bag. Reserve 2 Tbsp marinade, then pour the rest on top of the fish. Seal, then marinate for 30 minutes.

Cook the salmon. When ready, preheat the broiler to high, then coat a sheet of parchment with cooking spray. Make sure the parchment lies flat so that it doesn&#39;t touch the heating unit once in the oven. Place the marinated salmon fillets skin side down, allowing excess marinade to drip off. If the marinade is thick, you can rub the excess marinade off with your hands, then place the fillets on the sheet pan. Broil the salmon for 6-8 minutes, rotating the pan once halfway through, or until the internal temperature of the fish reaches 120F.

Finish, then serve. Brush the fillets with the remaining marinade, then serve immediately with thinly sliced scallions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro.

Salt and pepper the salmon.

In a small bowl add the miso paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.  Wisk together until smooth. Reserve 1 tablespoon of marinade.

In a medium sized bowl add the salmon and the sauce.  Let it marinade for 1-3 hours.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  In a large skillet add the salmon and discard marinade.  Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until fish is almost done and opaque.  Brush with reserved glaze and Broil on high for 1-2 minutes until fish reaches 125-130 degrees in the center.

Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Really good! The second time I’m making this recipe. I cook my salmon in the air fryer 400 degrees for about 8 minutes, then I pull out the salmon use the rest of the glaze on top and cook for another 3 mins. And it’s great!

My partner and I loved this recipe! It was easy to throw together. I let the fish marinade while I made some mixed veggies on the side. Will definitely have again!

Made this for dinner tonight and it was a hit! I served it over rice with a side of bok choy. I cooked it in a cast iron skillet. The fish took about 10 extra minutes but my pan was pretty full and my fish was thick. The marinade is delicious.

I've made this for my family twice now, absolutely delicious, even all 3 kids love it!  We served it with the garlic sesame noodles. Really great recipe and so easy and quick!

This miso butter salmon is sweet, savory, and full of flavor. Slightly charred with a flaky, tender interior, this salmon dish couldn&#39;t be more easier to make. 

Miso Butter Salmon

Salmon fillets (6 oz each)

tbsp Unsalted butter (softened)

tbsp White miso paste

Brown sugar

tsp Fresh ginger (grated)

Garlic (minced)

tbsp Green onions (sliced thin)

In a medium-size bowl, combine softened butter, miso paste, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, and green onions. Use a spatula to mash together. 

Equally divide the miso butter on top of each salmon fillet. Use a butter knife or offset spatula to spread the butter over the entire piece of salmon. 

For oven:  Preheat oven to 375°. In a large skillet or baking dish, add salmon fillets. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the salmon is opaque and just about done. Then, broil on high for 1-2 minutes until the top of the salmon begins to caramelize. 

For air fryer:  Preheat air fryer to 400°. Line air fryer basket with parchment paper or foil. Place salmon fillets inside basket and cook for 9-10 minutes. Do not turn. 

Place cooked salmon onto a platter. Drizzle remaining butter on top of salmon fillets. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds and serve with steamed rice and vegetables.

I made this for dinner with mashed red potatoes and broccolini… it was absolutely delicious!! Definitely will make again!

Made this tonight and added after tasting the butter mixture, added a teaspoon or so of siracha  for just a little more spice/flavor. Overall, it’s delicious and we’ll definitely make it again.

Miso Salmon Recipe

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Position an oven rack in the center of the oven and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment for easy cleanup.

Make the Miso Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together miso paste, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, and mirin until smooth. Taste and adjust the sweetness if needed.

Bake first. Place salmon fillets on the baking sheet, skin-side down. Brush generously with the miso glaze (reserve a little for later). Bake at 400°F for 6-8 minutes.

Broil to finish. Switch the oven to broil (high). Brush the salmon with the remaining glaze and broil for 4-6 minutes, just until the top is caramelized and slightly charred.

Serve. Pull the salmon when the internal temp hits 120–125°F for medium or 130°F for well-done but still moist. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

A simple yet lip-smacking miso glaze that's sweet, savory, and full of umami goodness is the marinade that coats the salmon fillets. Then give the salmon a quick cook in the air fryer or the oven, and pair alongside rice, broccoli, or your favorite side items for a swoon-worthy meal that everyone will love!

10-Minute Miso Salmon (Air Fryer or Oven!)

white miso paste (I use Miso Master)

ginger paste

toasted (or non-toasted) sesame oil

white pepper

(6-ounce) salmon fillets, skin-off

Prep the marinade. In a medium bowl, combine the miso paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger,  sesame oil, mirin, and white pepper. Stir the marinade together until well combined and smooth.

Marinate salmon. In a shallow glass dish/container, add the salmon fillets and cover with the miso marinade. Use your hands (fitted with disposable gloves, if desired) to massage the marinade all over the salmon. Cover the dish/container with an airtight lid and transfer into the refrigerator to marinate for at least 2 hours.

Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (see step below for oven instructions). Remove the miso salmon from the marinade, and place the salmon fillets into the air fryer basket with a bit of space in between each one. Feel free to brush a little residual miso marinade over the salmon fillets. You can either discard the marinade or place the remaining marinade into a saucepan with a little water over low heat, and simmer until the salmon is done cooking. Then just drizzle sauce over cooked salmon, as desired.

Air fry miso salmon for 9-10 minutes. For oven method: Place an oven rack in the center position, and then set the oven broiler to high. Line a medium-sized baking sheet with foil (I don&#8217;t recommend using parchment paper as it can burn under the broiler). Remove the miso salmon from the marinade, brush off excess, and place the salmon fillets onto the foil-lined baking sheet with a bit of space in between each one. Broil salmon fillets for 8-10 minutes or until salmon is cooked through with easily flaked flesh.

Serve

this miso salmon immediately alongside your favorite side dishes for a complete meal (we love serving this salmon with rice and steamed broccoli or green beans!). Garnish miso salmon with sesame seeds and sliced scallions, if desired. Enjoy!

This is by far my favorite salmon recipe! It is so easy and tastes amazing. I recommend this to everyone who is on the fence about salmon.
