Refreshing orange creamsicle smoothie that tastes just like the summer treat you grew up on! This simple and delicious orange smoothie recipe is made without banana, naturally sweetened and has a sneaky boost of veggies. You&#039;ll make this one all year long!

Orange Creamsicle Smoothie

medjool dates (¼ cup packed pitted Medjool dates)

orange juice

light coconut milk (from

cauliflower

vanilla extract

almond extract

First soak your pitted dates in 1 cup of very warm water for at least 5 minutes. This will help them soften up and perfect for blending. While the dates are soaking you can get all your other ingredients out, measured and ready.

Next add all ingredients to a high powered blender: pitted dates, orange juice, yogurt, coconut milk, cauliflower, vanilla extract and almond extract. Feel free to add any optional add-ins to your smoothie if you’d like. Blend until smooth, adding more coconut milk to thin, if necessary. Pour into a glass and enjoy! Serves 1. Feel free to double the recipe to serve 2.

frozen ripe banana, previously peeled & sliced

Make sure you have a strong, powerful blender to break down the frozen banana and orange. I like this smaller Ninja or this regular Ninja blender.

On high, blend the frozen banana chunks, vanilla, and orange juice together until thick, creamy, and smooth &#8211; about 3 minutes. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed. Add the yogurt, orange, and orange zest (if using). Blend until combined.

So yummy! Frozen banana gives great texture and creaminess to this smoothie. I used plain Greek yoghurt and it was sweet enough for my tastes.

THIS WAS AMAZING I have one problem though, may you please add  quanities  for the ingredients i went overboard on the vannila extract. I am only a kid but i am trying to cook and make any type of recipie really and I tried this because I was hungry and thought about my moms vannila  orange smoothies so I wanted to recreate the recipie, and this helped me recreate it even better keep up the great work.

This was scrumptious definitely recommend it but the orange zest was hard

Also, does the banana need to be frozen? Because I didn’t freeze it and it was not very thick even with 1 cup of yogurt. So I added some frozen mango and ice cubes to cool it down and thicken it up, because and i knew that it would not effect the taste.
