One-pot, Oven Baked Garlic Mushroom Rice. A simple, comforting, no frills kind of meal that you are going to be wanting to make again and again!&nbsp;

Oven Baked Garlic Mushroom Rice

/ 2 cups long grain white rice (*)

flavourful broth

onion (chopped finely)

garlic (, chopped finely **)

salt

¾ teaspoon ground pepper

thyme (***)

rosemary (***)

/ around 6 heaping cups sliced mushrooms

Preheat oven to 380*F

Rinse the rice then place it in a large ceramic baking dish. Mine measures 13 x 9 inches****.  

Add the onions and garlic then the seasoning and herbs. Stir together to evenly distribute then level out.&nbsp;

Spread the chopped mushrooms evenly over the top.

Pour over the broth then cover tightly with tin foil or a tight fitting lid.&nbsp;

Baked for 45 minutes.&nbsp;

Remove from the oven, remove the foil, check the rice is tender. If not give it a stir, cover and return to the oven for another 10 minutes.&nbsp;

Once rice is tender remove from the oven. If there is any visible liquid uncover and return to the oven for about 5 minutes and it will evaporate off.&nbsp;

Serve immediately.

Remove rice from oven and immediately recome cover. Fluff rice with fork and let stand for 5 minutes before serving. (If rice is not entirely cooked re-cover with foil and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes.)

An all-around delicious and easy recipe for oven-baked rice. Not only is oven-baked rice taste great freshly baked, but this recipe can also be made ahead of time for tomorrow night&#039;s fried rice.

Oven Baked Rice (How to Cook Rice in the Oven)

Cup Long grain white rice

Cups Hot water

Unsalted butter

Teaspoon Kosher salt

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Rinse the rice until the water runs clear. Place into a 2-quart baking dish or dutch oven with a tightly fitted lid. Add the hot water, butter, and salt to the baking dish until combined. Cover with heavy-duty foil or with the lid of the dutch oven.

Place in preheated oven and bake for 25-27 minutes, until the liquid is absorbed.

Remove from the oven and allow to rest covered for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, open the lid and fluff the rice with a fork.

I made this rice for a Juneteenth lunch. I doubled the the recipe, and it turned out perfect. I'm never boil rice again.

Made your buttered cabbage in pressure cooker. Best cabbages I have cooked. The time — the best feature, 8 minutes. Only method I use now. Wonderful!
