Homemade Fresh Peach Sauce is a delicious way to serve fruit to the entire family.&nbsp; It is so versatile and can be served so many ways.

Homemade Fresh Peach Sauce Recipe

Peaches (*skinned and pits removed)

lemon (juiced)

sugar

You can skin the peaches before or after you cook them.  Cut them in half and remove the pit.  Cover the bottom of a deep-sided pan with about 1 inch of water.  Add the peaches and allow to simmer over medium heat until softened, approximately 20 minutes. You don&#39;t want to boil them.

Peaches are too fibrous to pass through a sieve so add them to a blender, food processor, or stick immersion blender.  Process them until smooth. 

Return them to the heat and add lemon juice and sugar.  Heat until sugar is dissolved, approximately 10 minutes.

Dijon, lemon, thyme, garlic and chili flakes give this savory peach sauce recipe a great depth of flavor. A delicious pairing with chicken, turkey and pork.

Savory Peach Sauce Recipe

peaches ((about 4 cups chopped))

lemon juice

white sugar ((or brown sugar))

Dijon mustard

green onion, finely chopped

red pepper flakes (or more)

thyme (or 1 tsp dried)

each, salt and black pepper

PEEL AND CUT THE PEACHES (Note 1):  For easy peeling, carefully drop peaches into a medium pot of boiling water. Boil for 1 minute.  Lift out peaches with a slotted spoon and slip off the skins. Cut peaches in half and remove pits. Chop into small chunks, about 1/2-3/4 inch (1.28-1.9 cm).

MAKE THE SAUCE: In a medium saucepan (I use the same one as above), put in all ingredients. Heat to Medium-high heat to bring to gentle boil (lower heat to medium heat if boiling too rapidly). Gently boil for about 6-8 minutes uncovered, stirring frequently, or until you reach the desired consistency. The more you cook it, the thicker it will get. Taste and adjust seasonings, adding more lemon, sugar, chili flakes, thyme as needed. Serve hot or cold with chicken, fish, pork or grains.

I made this for dinner tonight and I loved it.   It was tasty and not too sweet. I used it with seasoned shrimp I had bought from the deli.  I love noodles so I made buttered noodles and placed the shrimp with peach sauce over them.  Since my husband died, I got away from making special dishes.  I found this easy to make and the seasonings did not overpower the sweet peaches.  The only thing I will do next time is add more crushed red pepper because I enjoy spicy food.

I went peach picking today and planned on freeze drying. A few were soft in spots. I cut them out and added to a sauce pot. I found this recipe and wanted to make it. The only change I made was Chipotle seasoning instead of red pepper. I followed the apple cider vinegar. Used half brown sugar, and half raw sugar. I also left the peel on. It turned out so great. A touch more then a quart. We started dipping whole grain chips in it. 
Later, I will airfry chicken wings, and finish it off with this sauce.

Just the perfect add on to fish, pork or chicken. Very satisfying!

Left out the green onions,  used a 50/50 combination on very ripe and not-quite-ripe peaches to add texture.  So good!  New family favorite ?

Great tasting! Used peaches from our tree and canned this! 1/2" headspace, 20 minutes in a water bath. I love the kick it has. I added just a bit more chili flakes and about doubled the green onions. I will use this recipe every year when canning. Thanks!

Combine tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, cayenne pepper, and chopped peaches in a medium saucepan over medium heat

Bring to a low boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon

Stir in the peach preserves and mix until smooth and fully combined

Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days

You need just three ingredients to make this homemade peach sauce. The deliciousness begins with ripe, juicy, peaches.

Peach Sauce

Combine the peaches, sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously while the sugar melts and the mixture comes to a boil.

Continue cooking for about 6-8 minutes, until the peaches are soft. Use a wooden spoon or potato masher to smash the fruit a bit as it is cooking.

Cool completely before transferring the sauce to an airtight container and storing it in the refrigerator.

Just cooked this up today. Soooo yummy. I love how it has just the right amount of sugar to enhance the peach flavor and not overwhelm them. I saved a half pint for tonight’s ice cream and water bath canned the other 7 - 1/2 pints.

I blanched the peaches last weekend. Inn just made the sauce. How long will they keep in the refrigerator or should I just freeze them? I don’t wanna waste the last of my fresh peaches.

My peaches were a bit on on the too sweet side, so along with the sugar and lemon juice I added about 1/8 teaspoon of pure citric acid. 
Brought back a touch of tartness that the lemons didn’t quite reach. 
Now canned, and I can’t wait to try it cold because it is divine warm!

peaches (diced, 1 pound, 2-3 large)

lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

tsp vanilla extract

Start by dicing up the peaches into small pieces. I prefer to leave the skin on because it&#39;s much easier, and it also makes for beautiful color in the finished sauce, and you don&#39;t notice them.

Next, mix the cornstarch, maple syrup, and water until the cornstarch is dissolved.

Add the diced peaches and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Lower to medium-heat or low, and maintain a simmer.

Stir occasionally to make sure it&#39;s not sticking, for 3 to 5 minutes until the peaches are barely softened and the mixture has thickened.

Cool the sauce completely and refrigerate before serving it with yogurt or ice cream. This sauce can be served lightly warm over ice cream or cheesecake if desired, but we personally prefer it cold.
