Can you cook pasta in an Instant Pot? You bet. This recipe is a seriously creamy Instant Pot pasta recipe that you'll make again and again.

Creamy Instant Pot Pasta

Place the following ingredients into the Instant Pot: water, tomatoes, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, oregano, kosher salt, spinach, whole basil leaves, and penne. Stir until combined.

Cook on high pressure for 5 minutes

 Press the Pressure Cook button, making sure the “High Pressure” setting is selected, and set the time. Note that it takes about 10 minutes for the pot to “preheat” and come up to pressure before it starts cooking. (During cooking, avoid touching the metal part of the lid.)

Quick release: Vent the remaining steam from the Instant Pot by moving the pressure release handle to “Venting”, covering your hand with a towel or hot pad. Never put your hands or face near the vent when releasing steam. Open the pressure cooker lid.

Open the lid and crumble in the goat cheese; stir until a creamy sauce forms. The sauce will thicken even more as it cools.

Place pasta in the Instant Pot

Pour water over pasta and sprinkle with sea salt

Place lid on pressure cooker, make sure vent is on Sealing position, and hit PRESSURE COOK for 4 minutes. You may also have to hit START depending on your model.

Pot will take a few minutes to reach pressure then will count down and cook for 4 minutes. When pot beeps, allow a 1 minute natural release, then do a gradual release by slowly turning the valve to minimize foam spraying out.

When pin drops, remove lid, stir to allow pasta to absorb water, then drain remaining water if necessary, and remove to platter or bowl to serve or to top with sauce.

5.5 fl oz can (156 milliliters) tomato paste

(30 milliliters) regular soy sauce

(15 milliliters) fish sauce

(15 milliliters) Worcestershire sauce

(500 milliliters) cold water

Brown Ground Beef: Heat up your pressure cooker (Instant Pot: press Sauté, then Adjust to go to Sauté More). Ensure your pot is as hot as it can be (Instant Pot: wait until indicator says HOT). Add 1 tbsp olive oil in Instant Pot. Ensure to coat the oil over the whole bottom of the pot. Add in ½ pound of ground beef and season with kosher salt and ground black pepper. *Pro Tip: Meat juice begins to come out of ground beef. Let the moisture evaporate. Browning begins due to maillard reaction. Remove &amp; set aside.

Sauté Onion, Garlic, Celery, Mushrooms: Add 1 tbsp olive oil in the pot. Add sliced onion, sauté. Add a pinch of kosher salt and ground black pepper to season. Stir occasionally until slightly browned. Then, add minced garlic and stir for roughly 30 seconds until fragrant. Add sliced mushrooms, chopped celery, a pinch of dried oregano, and dried basil. Cook for another minute. Taste seasoning and adjust with more kosher salt and ground black pepper if necessary.

Deglaze &amp; Make Pasta Sauce: Pour in a dash of sherry wine and deglaze the bottom of the pot with a wooden spoon. Add browned ground beef, 1 cup unsalted chicken stock, 2 cups water, 2 tbsp regular soy sauce, 1 tbsp fish sauce, and 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce. Mix everything together.

Pressure Cook Pasta: Pour 450g Penne pasta into the sauce. Place 156ml tomato paste on top of the pasta. Taste and adjust with more kosher salt and ground black pepper if necessary. *Pro Tip: Ensure all the Penne pasta are completely submerged into the sauce. With Venting Knob in Venting Position, close the lid, then turn Venting Knob to Sealing Position. Pressure Cook at High Pressure for 4 minutes, wait 5 minutes before doing a Quick Release. Open the lid carefully.

Serve: Give it a quick stir and everything should blend together. *Pro Tip: Taste one of the Penne pasta. If you find the texture too hard (ours came out al dente), close the lid and let the leftover heat cook them until the desired doneness. Sprinkle some freshly grated Parmesan cheese to kick it up a notch. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

One Pot Pressure Cooker Pasta Bolognese

Creamy instant pot pasta in a delicious roasted red pepper and sundried tomato sauce perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Creamy Instant pot pasta in Roasted Redpepper and Sundried tomato sauce

Roasted red peppers

spaghetti pasta

tbsp extra virgin olive oil

salt and pepper

Switch on the saute mode in your instant pot. Add a tbsp of olive oil and add the onions and garlic. Saute until the onions turn translucent.

Now remove 3/4th of the onion and garlic mixture and add it to a food processor along with the roasted red peppers and sun dried tomatoes.

Make a puree of the above ingredients. Set it aside.

Break the spaghetti pasta in half and add it to the instant pot along with the remaining onions and garlic.

Add the vegetable broth, water, and make sure the pasta is submerged in the liquid.

Now add the pureed roasted peppers and sundried tomatoes on top of the pasta and water.

Add the salt and pepper needed for the pasta and close the lid.

Cook for 1 minute less than 1/2 the amount of time it says to cook the pasta in the pasta box. For eg if your box says to cook the pasta for 10 minutes, you will cook it for 4 minutes.

Release pressure immediately.

Stir in cheese and cream. Serve hot.

Instant pot recipe

Saute the onions and garlic in a tbsp of olive oil until translucent. Remove 3/4 of the onion garlci mixture and puree it along with the roasted red peppers and sundried tomatoes to a smooth puree.

Cook pasta as per package instructions.

Add the cooked pasta to the remaining cooked onions and garlic. Add the roasted pepper and sundried tomato puree to the pasta, vegetable broth or reserve pasta water as needed (Dont add the amount mentioned in the recipe as you aren&#039;t cooking the pasta in the broth) and cook for a minute or so and stir until everything is well combined. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Stir in the cream, cheese and mix.

Serve hot.

Make Chicken Stock Mixture: Combine unsalted chicken stock, water, tomato paste, regular soy sauce, fish sauce, and Worcestershire sauce in a glass measuring cup.

Prepare Instant Pot Pressure Cooker: Heat up your pressure cooker (Instant Pot: press the Sauté button), wait until it says HOT. Then, add 1 tbsp olive oil in the pot. Ensure to coat the oil over the whole bottom of the pot.

Brown Ground Beef:&nbsp;Season the ground beef with kosher salt and black pepper.&nbsp;Partially cook and brown the ground beef for roughly 3 to 4 minutes, then remove from heat.

Saute Vegetables: Add 1 tbsp olive oil to the pot. Add onion, then season with kosher salt + black pepper. Cook until the onions are softened and brown. Then add garlic and stir until fragrant.&nbsp;Add chopped celery, mushroom, and a pinch of kosher salt + black pepper, then cook for 1 to 2 minutes.

Deglaze Instant Pot: Add a dash of sherry wine to fully deglaze the bottom of the pot with a wooden spoon. Then allow the wine to reduce.

Pressure Cook Spaghetti Bolognese: Add in Chicken Stock Mixture, dried oregano, and basil.&nbsp;*Pro Tip: Taste and season here because it'll be harder to season after cooking as the sauce will be absorbed by the spaghetti.&nbsp;Add in ground beef, then add spaghetti by splitting them in half (or you can submerge spaghetti in warm water prior to pressure cooking to soften them).&nbsp;Pressure cook at High Pressure for 6 minutes, then 5 minutes Natural Release.
