Place a rack in the center of your oven, then preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Peel and core the apples, then cut them into 1-inch chunks.

In the bottom of a 9x9-inch baking dish or other 2-quart casserole dish, mix together the apples, cranberries, maple syrup, cornstarch, lemon zest, lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, prepare the topping: Stir together the oats, nuts, almond meal, coconut, cinnamon, and salt. Drizzle the oil and maple syrup over the top, then use a spatula to combine until the dry ingredients are evenly moistened. Sprinkle the topping over the filling.

Bake the crisp for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the filling is bubbling and the top is golden. Check at the 30-minute mark—if the crisp starts browning too quickly, lightly tent it with foil, then continue baking as directed. Let rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream or Greek yogurt (dairy free if needed).

Rolled Oats ((150 grams))

Light Brown Sugar ((200 grams))

Vegan Butter ((170 grams) measured then melted)

Peel and cube the apple and add to a mixing bowl with the brown sugar, all purpose flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, lemon juice and vanilla extract and toss together so that all the apple pieces are coated.

Transfer the apple mix to a 9x13 dish sprayed with non-stick spray and smooth down.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

Prepare the topping. Add the all purpose flour, rolled oats, brown sugar and cinnamon to the mixing bowl and mix together. Then add in the melted vegan butter and vanilla and stir in.

Use your fingers to spread the topping over the apple layer, crumbling it with your fingers until it is evenly spread across the top.

Place into the oven and bake for 50 minutes until the top is nicely golden brown and the apple mix is bubbling up the sides.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Serve with vegan ice cream or vegan whipped cream.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and lightly spray a 9 X 13 casserole dish with oil.

Peel, core and chop the apples into thin, small pieces. This will help them get tender in the oven! Place the apples in a large bowl and set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted vegan butter with the 3 tablespoons of flour, then add the water, lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt and mix until smooth.

Pour the mixture over the apples and mix well to coat. Dump the apples into the casserole dish and spread evenly. Set aside and prepare the topping.

For the apple filling

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, baking powder and salt to combine.&nbsp;

Using clean fingers or a pastry cutter, work the softened vegan butter or coconut oil into the flour mixture until well combined. Sprinkle evenly over the apples in the dish.

For the topping

Place in the center rack of the oven and bake for about 45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender. It should be bubbling, especially on the sides.

Serve warm with a scoop of non-dairy vanilla ice cream and vegan caramel, if desired. Enjoy!

Preheat oven to 180C (350F). Start by cutting apples in quarters, then remove the cores. if you don&#39;t like the texture of the skin, feel free to peel them as well.

Add the apples to the baking dish and toss with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.

To prepare the topping, add all of the ingredients to a bow- oat flour, rolled oats, sugar, coconut oil, pepitas, walnuts, pumpkin spice, and salt. Use a fork or your hands to mix everything well.

Transfer the topping over the apples in an even layer and bake for 35-40 minutes. Let it rest at least 15 minutes before serving.

Top with ice cream, yogurt, or plant milk (all optional) and serve right away!

Add the ground cinnamon, cardamom, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, salt, &amp; pepper to a small bowl and whisk together. Set aside.

Make the chai spice mix:

Add the all-purpose flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, and 1 1/2 teaspoons of the chai mix to a mixing bowl and whisk together.

Then, add the vegan butter to the bowl. Cut the butter into the dough using a pastry cutter, fork, or even a food processor until you have a crumbly mixture. Set aside.

Make the crisp topping:

Peel, core, and cut the apples into 1-inch slices. Then, add the apple slices to the greased 8 by 8 inch baking dish.

Prep: 

Preheat the oven to 375F and grease a medium sized casserole dish or cast iron skillet with oil. Set aside. Make sure the apples are peeled and sliced thinly. Measure out all remaining ingredients.

Make the apple crisp filling: 

In a large bowl, combine the apple slices, lemon juice, and 1 tbsp cinnamon with 1/2 tbsp pumpkin spice or spice blend. Once coated evenly, pour into your prepared casserole dish, and set aside.

Make the oat crisp crumble: 

In a medium bowl, whisk together the oats, flour, and spices. Add in the maple syrup and melted coconut oil, and combine until all dry ingredients have been absorbed. Add in your nuts and/or seeds here as well. 

Assemble the apple crisp: 

top the apple slices with the  crumble topping until all of the apples have been covered.

Bake: 

Cover with tin foil and place into the oven to bake for 30 minutes, then remove the tin foil and bake the apple crisp for another 18-20 minutes. Remove from oven using an oven mix and let cool for 10 minutes. You can carefully place a piece of tinfoil back over to maintain moisture. 

Serve and enjoy!

Serve with your favorite ice cream! Store any leftovers in an air tight container for up to 5 days in the fridge.

Very good! I didn't have gala, so I used granny smith apples. If I ever do that again, I'll use more maple syrup or less lemon juice. I also didn't have pumpkin pie spice or anything other than cinnamon and ginger so I used 1/4 tsp ginger in each (the apples and the topping) and 1 tbsp cinnamon for each, too.

Naturally sweet Apple Crisp, but not too sweet - the topping was amazing and this will be our go to Fall dessert from now on! It compliments so many dishes. We topped it with some vanilla ice cream and loved it!!!!

I made this recipe. I  used Teff flour instead of oat flour and I used applesauce instead of maple syrup. I used ample pecans and pumpkin seeds in the crumble.  The crisp turned out amazing and I want to thank the author for sharing the recipe!!
