Royal icing sounds intimidating, but it's easy to make with simple ingredients. If you have a stand mixer, the whisk attachment does all the work. There is no meringue powder in this recipe, egg whites are used instead. This is the type of icing piped onto cutout cookies or even to put together gingerbread houses. Tips:

    Stick with organic lemons, since you’ll be using the peel
    Prefer to use alcohol-free extracts? Just replace the vodka with three parts food-grade liquid glycerin and one part water

    Save the brown bottles from store-bought extracts, and refill them with your own extracts
    You can also make your own orange, peppermint and vanilla extract

How To Measure Pan Sizes

I found this on the internet (DuggarFamily.com) and made it last year for the Holidays.  This is a delicious bread!  A wonderful moist banana bread with a crusty sweet topping of cinnamon & sugar.  I like to add a little extra bananas, and then I also added some chocolate chips to mine... Yummy!  This recipe is doubled.

This is an emergency substitute for molasses or pancake syrup.

Keep in mind that it is a substitute and that the flavor will be much milder than the real thing!  But this is the closest substitute you will find.

Molasses Substitute

This is a very easy but creamy delicious jello. When I make it I use sugar free jello, fat free cream cheese, lite canned fruit, and fat free cool whip. Use whatever is your favorite jello flavor and canned fruit. I always use 2 of all the ingredients. A nice recipe for Easter dinner, the jello is usually a pastel color and looks like spring. I'm sure everyone has made this hundreds of time, but I thought there might be someone out there who has never made a whipped jello. I hope you try it, I am sure you will enjoy it.

We love that Judy made this into a coconut cream sheet pie rather than a regular pie. Each layer is delicious! The bottom is crunchy and nutty. The next layer has a hint of tanginess from the cream cheese. Sweet and creamy, the coconut pie filling layer is luscious. The nutty crust is the real stand-out in this recipe along with the creamy coconut pie filling. This is achieved by using the half and half instead of milk.
