These carrots are incredible!! Suggestion: toss them in the mixture then place them on the pan. If you drizzle it like the recipe says, the carrots don’t get coated.

The carrots are absolutely delightful! But I made a small twist by bake them in the oven without the honey. Then toss them in the pan with honey later, high heat for about 30s. That way, the honey won’t burn while the carrots taste more charred and smoky from the pan.

Sooooo good. I followed the advice of another user, and made double the glaze. Cooked it with half, and tossed it with a bit more at the end.  Also when it came to cutting the carrots, I quartered the huge ones and halved the smaller ones, just so they would bake evenly.

You wont be disappointed in this recipe.

Made this recipe for easter and it was a huge family hit.

I cut my carrots into coins and Substituted maple syrup for honey!! DRROOOLLLLL!!!!!!!!! This is seriously a staple on my shopping list that family always ask when I will be making them next!

This is my absolute favorite way to eat carrots now. It's amazing. I use rainbow carrots and it's a showstopper when we have company.

Make a double batch of glaze. 
Incorporate 1/2 prior to bake. 
2nd half after removing from oven. 
If you really want to step it up use about 1/4 to 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper.

Heat oil over medium high heat in a medium-sized skillet.

When oil is glistening and hot, add carrots and salt and saute for 5 minutes, stirring once.

Reduce heat to medium, carefully add 1/4 cup of water (watch out for steam!), cover and cook for 5 more minutes.

Remove cover and if water has not evaporated, continue to cook, stirring frequently, until water evaporates. Carrots should be fork tender at this point, but if they are not, continue to cook, stirring frequently, until they are tender.

Reduce heat to low and add butter, honey, and chili powder. Stir to combine. Cook until butter is melted and chili powder coats carrots. 

Serve immediately.

Honey Glazed Carrots

These honey glazed carrots are an easy sheet pan recipe that turns into a flavorful, sweet and savory side dish.

Prep

Preheat your oven to 425F/220C. Then, cut the carrots on a diagonal, about 1&quot;-1.5&quot; in length. If your carrots are large and thick, you can slice them in half as well.

Toss

In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced carrots with the honey, garlic, butter, oil, and spices.

Spread

Pour the carrots and glaze onto a sheet pan and spread them out.

Roast

Roast for 20-25 minutes, tossing halfway through. You can also broil for 2-3 minutes, to get caramelization on the edges.

Garnish

Transfer carrots to a serving dish and garnish with chopped herbs.

Preheat oven to 400 F. Line a large half sheet baking pan with parchment paper.

In a small bowl, combine olive oil, honey, salt, and pepper, and stir until smooth. Pour over the carrots and toss to combine.

Arrange carrots in a single later and place sheet pan into the oven.

Bake for 25-35 minutes until tender. Note that depending on how thick your carrots are, the roasting time may vary. Thicker carrots will need more time.

Honey Roasted Carrots (or candied carrots, as we like to call them) are a sweet, delicious, and healthy vegetable side dish. The easy to make carrots are coated in a honey glaze then roasted until tender and caramelized. They are totally addictive!

Spicy Honey Roasted Carrots

each: sea salt and pepper

cayenne pepper (or more if you like heat)

carrots

chives (to garnish)

preheat oven

heat ingredients

Melt the butter in a large ovenproof skillet (see notes) over medium-high heat. Add the honey, salt, pepper, and cayenne and bring to a boil for 2 minutes. Add the carrots and toss to coat in the sauce.

Place the carrots in the oven and cook for 20 minutes. If you'd like some dark spots on your carrots, broil for the last 2-3 minutes. Be careful as they burn quickly.

caramelize

Remove the pan from the oven and continue to cook the carrots for 2 minutes over medium-high heat on your stovetop to caramelize the honey. Once the sauce just barely starts to darken, remove the pan from the heat.

serve

Sprinkle with some minced chives and serve.

Preheat oven to 185°F/85°C, steam setting (100% humidity).

Prepare

Put the carrots into a lightweight metal pan. Add the butter, drizzle over the honey and sprinkle with salt and pepper, then toss to combine. Cover the pan with a layer of foil to prevent excess moisture collecting on the carrots (no need to cover too tightly, just a loose scrunch around the edges of the pan is fine).

Cook

Cook carrots for 45 minutes, then remove from oven and change setting to 430F/220C, convection heat (no steam).

While the oven heats, remove foil from the pan and give the carrots a quick stir to make sure they’re well coated in the glaze. Put the uncovered pan back into the oven and cook the carrots, stirring a couple of times for even browning, until they’re well browned and the liquid is a thick, sticky glaze. This should take around 15 minutes.

Serve

Serve the carrots hot, with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat grill to medium (surface temp of about 350°-450°.)

Prep the carrots. Scrub well or peel. Cut off the root and skinny tip.  If thicker than 3/4 inch, cut in half lengthwise. Mix 1 tablespoon honey, two teaspoons brown sugar and 1 teaspoon olive oil. Heat in microwave for 15 seconds to get hot and stir to combine the sugar.
